Weekend Trip to Zephyr Mountain Avocado Grove

My family and I went tent camping on Shane’s land and it was great. The camp sites were far apart enough that it felt secluded, which we loved especially because we didn’t have to share a portal toilet. My daughter enjoyed seeing the animals in their animal sanctuary. Would recommend for small families.

The most cozy, welcoming and charming cabin in the woods! Kid friendly with tons of amenities to enjoy. Highly recommend a visit here!

Weekend Trip to Lakeshore Retreat

Very underrated lakeshore campsite! Has everything you need for several days of camping with a private dock to fish from and hold your jetski or kayak overnight. Highly recommend. Very level ground and although the lake water isn’t the cleanest it was a great experience.

Weekend Trip to Holcomb Valley Ranch

We had a great time camping out at Holcomb! Our campsite was huge (we stayed at F5), it was quiet, serene and surrounded by trees. The Campsites are well spread out so the sites were relatively private which was nice. You have access to porta-potties nearby and a hose where you can wash dishes. The shower facilities and trash cans are located in a different area of the campground though so you will need to drive (and go through 2 gates) to get there. The Forest Service road to Holcomb can be a bit busy and it does take a solid 20 minutes to get to the campground from Town. There is no signal at the campground (or at least at the spot we stayed / we have AT&T but had our Starlink so we were fine.) Overall we had a good time and would come back (most likely with friends to help offset the cost of the site which is a bit steep at $85/night).

Beautiful spacious sites. Nice staff and worked with me when I made a mistake on my booking dates. I was able to drive up the road with my VW hatchback. It was dry. Had it been wet or raining I would def recommend higher clearance vehicle or 4x4. Def returning. Already booked again.

We had a nice weekend at Holcomb ranch. The property is kept up very well, safe, clean and peaceful. At check in, Ed called ahead with detailed directions to the site. There are markers on the trees identifying the sites making it super easy. The sites are large enough to have a nice distance from neighbors. Overall, we had a great time and will be back.

Weekend Trip to BaseCamp at Palomar

Such a wonderful second stay at Holcomb Valley ranch! Beautiful views into the meadow, quiet campsite and with great amenities of outhouses, potable water, trash dump, and showers (although we didn’t use these). We really enjoyed our stay :)

Me and my 2 kids loved our stay at the Dragonfly Inn. The views from the house were absolutely stunning. My kids loved the loft, they turned it into a hideout for themselves during our stay. Everything was very neat and clean. Loved everything about the inn. Using the fire-pit, and stargazing at night was the highlight of the stay. Martin was a great host. He was very attentive to all our requests and responded to our inquiries very promptly. Already recommended to few other friends!

My family had a wonderful mid week getaway to Green Valley Lake. Get Lost Inn’s cabin was great with three different floors. The kids loved having their own space. We did a little day trip to Lake Arrowhead, swam in the Green Valley Lake, did a little fishing, and played some board games. All in all a fantastic time.

Weekend Trip to Bowen Ranch Deep Creek Hot Springs

We went in mid June and it was gorgeous! Still got pretty cold at night as you are practically in the desert so bring a good quilt or blankets. The hike to the hot springs is amazing with some cool views. I would say its a pretty easy hike for experienced hikers but medium to hard for beginners. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and extra bags - I saw trash along the hike and down at the hot springs which is so sad to see and ruins it for others - Overall, it was a beautiful spot and much cleaner than other hot springs I've been to. Leave it better!! Leave No Trace!!

Views are amazing and the meadow with horses grazing brought us a lot of joy! Our dog loved it too! Thank you!

Centered around a 100+ acre meadow, filled with horses in summer months and surrounded by thousands of acres of mountainous National Forest. Just 15 minutes from Big Bear Lake - a large recreational, fresh-water lake for summer swimming, boating, skiing, fishing and other super fun water activities. The Ranch feels remote and private. Yet is only four miles to the town of Big Bear with shopping and restaurants. Also in close proximity to incredible rock climbing at the Pinnacles, seemingly endless hiking and biking and some pretty epic off-roading 4x4 trails. Each campsite is approximately one acre, and generously-distanced from neighboring campers. Amenities include its own fire ring with grilling grate and picnic table(s). The campsites are both cozy enough for 2 or spacious enough for large groups and can easily accommodate a mix of RVs, camper vans and tents. From June to October the 100+ area open meadow is filled with horses grazing and galloping about (please don't pet or feed!) A four-seasons destination, the Ranch has year-round experiences with warm summers and snowy winters. An excellent basecamp, within close proximity to the lake, ski slopes, Pinnacles, hiking/biking and off-roading trails. After a day filled with adventure or ultimate relaxation, be sure to enjoy the breath-taking sunsets over the meadow. The evenings blanket guests with a sea of stars. You can get fresh food and everything else you might need at reasonable prices. * Wheelchair access to the home is fairly easy. The showers are very large, but otherwise of standard design. * There can be dogs roaming free, but we've never seen an aggressive one. You may also encounter a mosquito or two, little desert critters, etc. * Snowbird? Looking for a long-term retreat? Low rates are available to quality candidates.

With pigs, chickens, ducks, geese and plenty of wildlife including: hawks, Owls, bunnies and more which all contribute to Regenerative Organic farming and offer viewing pleasure. The local area provides hiking, wildlife, mountain biking, lakes and 35 minutes to the nearest wine tasting in Temecula. We are an hour from the beach and roughly an hour and half to Skiing and Snowboarding at Mt. High. Minutes away from Santa Rosa Plateau for hiking. You are also a 15-30 minute drive to explore the amenities of the local cities, wine country and 45 minutes to the beach. The 21 acre property provides amazing views as well as biking and hiking along the local fire and farm roads. We offer Camping supplies such as tents or chairs if needed for a small rental fee as well as the ability to purchase fresh avocados, citrus or Farm fresh eggs from the grove. Nestled up to the wildlife preserve of the government bureau of land management which provides more of a quiet and private setting to enjoy what nature has to offer. You will see Jack rabbits and cotton tail bunnies, roadrunners, quail, owls, different type of birds, hawks, coyote, lizards, snakes and even some toads. On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights. There are many trails to walk, hike, bike and horse back ride where you can discover large boulders in different shapes and sizes along with hidden caves. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well. At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls! Pets and horses are welcome. We provide Two horse corrals with feed buckets and access to water. There is a outdoor dog kennel. There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt. Not to far there is a Casino, small store and a restaurant and about 30 minutes away from the Temecula wineries. You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV big enough for 6 people if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). and has indoor and outdoor lights and electrical outlets to plug in a fan or your phone and, there is a to use. We have a cooler for you to use bu you will need to provide your own ice. There are dishes and utensils and a toilet. and water in and outside (You will need to bring your own blankets, sleeping bags and towels). Also provided arepropane b.b.q, propane fire ring, outdoor bench, table and camp chairs. There is enough room on this property to bring your own camper, RV or tent or ? but it must be self contained. There is no electric, water or waste hook up. If you are just looking for a place to set up your own tent, I will consider the cost to be lower. Please contact me if you may have any questions.
