This 1968 Shasta Camper, located in a small garden within an urban neighborhood, sleeps up to four people, with additional space to set up tents if desired. It has a few amenities—some more rustic than others—including AC, refrigerator and freezer, stovetop (oven does not work), sinks, shower, internet, and coffee maker.
Located just ten minutes from the Port of Long Beach and the Port of San Pedro, it’s a great launch point for cruise-goers. With swimming beaches only twenty minutes away, it’s an ideal option for a low-cost vacation.

Street parking only. Pay attention to posted restriction signs and do not park in business or residential lots. The driveway can be made available at a cost of $10 per night (keep in mind the driveway is located at the front of the property and is a short walk away from the entrance to the camper).
Yard is fenced-in completely but if your pet is an escape artist there are some very small openings to be aware of when letting them off-leash.

This place is part garden oasis and part retro camper. These elements work together perfectly! It was cool to see a part of Long Beach that I would have missed if I’d stayed on the usual beach route. The Suoer Saver grocery is a real find!!

Wonderful stay! Our host Jason was absolutely lovely. Very attentive. The grounds were gorgeous. We were able to let our dog off leash to roam around. They had goats and chickens, a wonderful gift basket and hiking right off the property. It was truly a beautiful and wonderful time -so relaxing we will be back!

We've had a great time there with my three sons. The RV offered comfortable stay for 4 people. The place is very cozy and has everything you'd need for a relaxing staycation out of town: bathrooms with running water, kitchen, fridge, master bed and two bunk beds. Everything is clean and in good order. Jason, the host, was very accommodating and helped us set up a wood fire pit, where we enjoyed our little BBQ and marshmallows under the star-lit sky. We were pleasantly surpsised by the welcome basket full of goodies left by the host for our enjoyment. Dont forget to take off the shoes before going inside to keep the place clean and grab your trash bags on the way out.

What a wonderful experience! We're not big time campers, but we loved Splitrock Stargazer!
Super simple self check-in, really nice dome tent, good bed and amenities. The camp store, while tiny, had just what we needed (s'mores, etc) and we were ready to go.
We'll certainly go back and we highly recommend Splitrock.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The yurt was extremely clean and comfortable. Clean beds and linen. It was great to find such nice amenities to escape the heat and rest comfortably. Be prepared for lots of bugs, it’s nature after all. Plenty of restrooms, potable water nearby. It was a busy 3 day weekend with lots of campers around but we still had plenty of privacy and space . We would definitely stay here again. We brought our dog out to escape the 4th of July fireworks noise and he loved it. Great communication with the folks running the place as well. Highly advisable to drive a larger vehicle ( truck, SUV) up the road as most of it is unpaved and rugged terrain. We got through just fine in a Subaru but drove very slow. Our mountain side view by the campfire was beautiful. Highly recommend a visit here.

Weekend Trip to Splitrock - Branch Out Glamping
We had a fantastic weekend at Split Rock! Despite the rain every day, we managed to relax and recharge.
Pros: The tent was spacious, the fire pit was a nice touch, and the area was wonderfully quiet. It was just a quick 20-second walk to the bathroom and shower, plus the views were stunning. We even had some fun encounters with farm animals (skip paying for the service, though). Everything we needed for cooking was available on-site, and the sound of rain on the canvas tent was soothing. The dirt paths were well-maintained and free of debris.
Cons: We did face some challenges with Branch Out Glamping regarding a late check-in (there's no key to pick up). We noticed mouse droppings on the bed pillows and under the bed, and even saw one scurry across the floor late at night. For more privacy, I recommend using the showers by the office, as the one closest to our site was poorly constructed. There was also a missing chair by the fire pit (the pictures showed two loungers), and the bed was quite firm (if you like extra support, you might appreciate it). The next campsite was about 20 yards away, so if it's occupied, be aware they can hear everything happening at your site. Lastly, there was no place to charge electronics; BOG mentioned a communal area for phone charging, but the office staff said that wasn't true.
I know this may sound like nitpicking, but don't let that fool you. We had an incredible time and plan to return soon.

My daughter and I loved our time here it was so beautiful and felt private. With 67 acres there was plenty to explore. The bed was so COMFORTABLE! I have 2 herniated discs and too soft of a bed is a nightmare. Our bed was neither too soft or too hard. I am a glamping convert! Definitely recommend getting the propane heater. Vicki was so nice and helpful and has a charming dog that loves to say hi. The dirt road up was a bit harrowing in a Prius in the dark, it did make the drive but it was very slow and stressful and some rocks had to be moved.
It was easier in the daylight, it wouldn’t be so bad in a car with a higher clearance, I also wouldn’t take a car with old tires or dodgy shocks.
