We named our property the Twisted Branch after one of the big oak trees that sits on the site where you will camp with us! It's on a hilltop with amazing views in nearly all directions. The campsite faces South/West so sunsets are fantastic. We use no chemicals on the soil or annual grasses. It is very quiet and the night sky is always stunning. Owls hoot at night and Redtail Hawks hunt for ground squirrels during the day. We have alot of Acorn woodpeckers living in the oak trees, the ones with the bright red head feathers. April through June we see bright yellow Orioles. At night you will hear hundreds of little frogs in the nearby ponds, depending on the season. We are located in the heart of Wine Country and there are plenty of activities around us and in town.

Learn more about this land: A beautiful spot in a vineyard with peaceful rolling hills with tons of privacy in Paso Robles Wine Country. We offer a level spot beside a barn surrounded by apple trees and acres of vineyard. Barbara and Dan bought these 37 acres in 2005. It had no improvements. The only thing it had going for it was a 250-year-old oak tree, and its location in the heart of wine country. We would come up and camp under the tree, and plant. In 2007, we drilled a well. In 2008, Dan proposed under the tree, and we brought in power. We have continued to make improvements since. We built a little house, then we built a big house, we added farm animals, kids, fruit trees, a jam line, a pond, and more keep coming! So come up and enjoy the farm like we did in the good old days! I can’t wait to go back again and spend more time at the farm. This is a very special property, it felt like we walked for miles each day with our dogs in gentle rolling hills dotted with beautiful oak trees and not having any indication of humanity, lots of nature. Each night we walked up the nearby hill to watch the seemingly endless sunsets transform from yellows oranges and reds into shades of purple. The site is clean level and easy to access and the hookups are easy and clean. Christy was responsive, helpful and friendly with a nice gift bag upon arrival and other baking options in the mornings. There’s no doubt we’ll visit many more times when we need a nature break. Highly recommend.

We loved camping out with our camper van here! The spot was beautiful and kept clean. We had a lot of privacy, and were able to find the spot pretty quickly with the directions given. It was on my mom’s bucket list and she just loved camping out in a vineyard. We were a family of 5 + dog and It made a very memorable evening on our roadtrip.

We stayed there as a halfway stop on our way to Joshua Tree. I’m originally from the Caruthers area, so i wanted to see the area after a 55 year absence. Cheryl was a responsive and welcoming host. She sent us the gate code and let us find our way. Clear directions and easy to find. Beautiful setting. It was a rainy night, so being under cover was nice.

Kevin was so friendly and welcoming; gave me a great overview of the property and even told me of a little hike I could take. One porta potty on the grounds, stocked with tp and is taken care of. Stayed for three nights---I was away during the days, but each night when I came back to camp it was great just to sit with a glass of wine by my tent and watch the stars. Thanks, Cabernet and Kevin, for providing such a great spot to camp!

Staying in my little camper Daisy on the ranch felt so wonderfully safe, peaceful and homey! So much room to spread out for every camper - there were three others there - and still felt private. Having a closed gate on the property at night was wonderful. The porta-potty was so clean! The sunrises and sunsets were stunning, as well as the stars at night. I would gladly come back for another stay!

We had an awesome night’s sleep at RandCher. The space was perfectly clean and easy to park in. We were the only campers the night we stayed, and it was a treat to have so private a setting. The coyotes and birds were fun to listen to, and after they went to sleep (?) it was SO QUIET at the vineyard. Very peaceful. Highly recommend1
