Here you will find a beautifully restored original homestead cabin, with all of the comforts of home. The cabin will sleep 4 comfortably, or 6-7 if you move some stuff around. To the right is Avion, the majestic silver bird. She is every bit original 1983 oak veneer nostalgia. Don't eat the glass grapes! Avion features a full kitchen and bath and sleeps 5.
Further over is Dolly the vintage Dalton tin can style trailer. She has no hook ups but there are battery lights and a clean double bed. Set a while on the dirt porch in the shell back chairs and reflect on life.
Shangri-La is family, pet, UFO, and kid friendly. Bring 'em all!
You will need to self clean this little slice of heaven. There are supplies in the closet and the outbuildings. You'll BYO sheets and towels to make up the beds and bathe, remember to take everything you brought with you, put back the key, and haul out your own trash.
The property is well outfitted with cooking supplies and a charcoal barbecue.

Further over is Dolly the vintage Dalton tin can style trailer. She has no hook ups but there are battery lights and a clean double bed. Set a while on the dirt porch in the shell back chairs and reflect on life.
Shangri-La is family, pet, UFO, and kid friendly. Bring 'em all!
You will need to self clean this little slice of heaven. There are supplies in the closet and the outbuildings. You'll BYO sheets and towels to make up the beds and bathe, remember to take everything you brought with you, put back the key, and haul out your own trash.
The property is well outfitted with cooking supplies and a charcoal barbecue.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mikael’s Desert Stargazer Cabin! The property was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly peaceful. The jacuzzi was a highlight—perfect for relaxing under the stars. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully set up, making for a comfortable and memorable desert escape. The Stargazer was an exceptional find. I will start with the host Mikael who provided a professional introduction and assisted in making recommendations for hikes, restaurants and things to do. The property was easily accessible and absolutely stunning. The hot tub was already on and ready for entry upon arrival. The place was well stocked and clean. There was only one other place I found on Hipcamp that matched the amenities I was looking for and this place was $150 cheaper, not to mention the owner gave me a military discount on top of that!

Amazing views, comfortable stay, romantic and private. Had everything we needed to cook & be comfortable - I'm buying that 3n1 coffee - yum! Loved the en-suite composting toilet and full shower - very convenient. Ken was communicative and accommodating. We would definitely stay again!

Enjoyed the peace and quiet for a much-needed retreat from busyness. It’s a taste of desert life. Safe and simple. Will return when needed, and the front row seat for the Milky Way season. But I may ask Jessica to not let me know the wifi password, to make it a more complete retreat.

Our stay at this Joshua Tree Home was truly magnificent. The peace, quiet, and wide open space felt like the perfect reset; exactly what we needed to recharge and reconnect with ourselves. There’s something so special about being surrounded by that kind of stillness.
The host did an incredible job creating a space that feels both cozy and luxurious. Every detail was thoughtful, making it easy to relax the moment we arrived. It honestly felt a little magical.
We left feeling refreshed, grounded, and already dreaming about our next visit. Can’t wait to come back.

Weekend Trip to Manzanita Village Retreat
We had a great time during our stay. The place was so beautiful and held so much energy. We loved the hike and walks around the stay. We were also lucky to see some wild animals during the day and clear skies at night. We left the place with a happy heart 🥰. I really appreciate Caitriona and Michele for maintaining the land untouched with all its innate purity.

Granite Mountain was an incredible escape! The views, sunrise, and sunset were breathtaking. So much so I proposed here. The cabin is easy to access from where you park and has everything you need. Ken was an excellent host, he was very responsive and made sure everything was taken care of. I would highly recommend!

Jessica's place is fantastic and extremely convenient. The surrounding area is beautiful, you have the option of camping or staying inside, and you have a shower, kitchen, and fridge.
This was my second time here and I'd come again. Jessica is very responsive, accommodating, and friendly.
I love this place. It's a diamond in the rough.

We had such an incredible time at Shangri-la! The property had tons of room to spread out and any essentials you could ask for. The activities/chairs/decorations added so much charm and fun to the property. Such a great deal for the amount of space and beds. Communication with Amy was easy and quick, definitely recommend stargazing with family or friends!

It’s nice, cozy, and free from distractions. It had everything I needed for basic lodging. The dirt road was something that I needed to get used to but not much of an issue.
I would recommend this place if you’re looking for something small and simple.

We loved our stay on Ken's land. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. The environment was peaceful and serene with gorgeous views. We also couldn't have asked for a better host.
