There’s 5 acres, partly shaded by old mesquite trees and native Washingtonia palms that tower over rock lined paths. I recently fixed up our old 1949 tear drop camper for staying in after it had been abandoned for 30 years. It’s equipped with solar power, a gas burner, a pump sink, and a cooler. The Seemore 1964 Dexter was the perfect hideaway for a solo mission to the high desert, far enough off the beaten path to avoid the T-Day JT crowds. Tristyn and family were INCREDIBLY friendly and warm, and the property couldn't be easier to get to. Such a beautiful cosy spot - sunrise was stunning! All as described in the listing, with some handy basics to assist as well. I brought a lighter sleeping bag with me, for a mid-November evening it was a tad colder than I expected, so would recommend a heavier sleeping bag/heavier duvet. But that’s on me. Amy was an amazing host and very easy comms :)

This place is so magical and so happy Tao shares this space he's created with the world. The Spartan had great vibes! We roamed around the lot exploring the pool, hut and outside kitchen. We met some fellow hipcampers and chatted and it's just an awesome community that's going on here. The road to get to the entrance is a dirt road with soft patches, my little Nissan Kicks was able to make it through no problem. It is extremely dark at night so be mindful going in and out. Also a previous reviewer made a comment about too many lights and couldn't see stars. Maybe Tao made changes, but I was able to see stars just fine at night. Can't wait to come back!!
