While enjoying some decompression on our land, feel free to take a hot or cold bath outside by the sauna (great for stargazing at night) or even fire up the wood burning sauna for some relaxing and invigorating self care.
-Feel like going on a stroll? Feel free to wander down to our NID trail, where you can take a leisurely stroll on a path along the waterside.
The driveway to our spaces have a separate entrance so no worries about coming in too late or too early.
-Summer days can get very hot so be prepared by bringing an extra mister or take a dip in the Yuba only 15 min away. We do provide either a ceiling fan or a stand up fan to help keep cool.
-Enjoy sitting outside on the patio furniture. Take a nap or read a book on the hammock while you relax in a peaceful and serene environment.
-We also provide organic coffee, tea, sugar and honey. An outdoor table and a hammock will be waiting for you, too.
-Plenty of parking!
-Pets are allowed on the land, HOWEVER, only with our pre-approval!! So please let us know if you plan to bring a pet. We have sensitive animals on the land and we want to make sure your pup will be ok with our other little creatures.

I love my little slice of paradise and look forward to sharing it with you. I live on site about 100 yards down the hill from the site and the terraced terrain make it quite private. THE AREA
RiverSea East is located on the San Juan Ridge, an area near Nevada City and Grass Valley that extends about 24 miles between the south and middle forks of the Yuba River.
A small Nevada County community far removed from town, modern day North San Juan is part hippie, part isolationist, part new age and part conservative.It's only a 20 minute drive from downtown Nevada City, but since you have to drive up and down the heavily forested, windy river-canyon road, it feels rather remote. When you get there, it consists of less than ten businesses scattered around the mountains, a bushel of dreadlocked hippies, a bunch of pot farms, a vineyard, and LOTS of empty, undeveloped wood, making North San Juan a really beautiful place, surrounded, as it is, by forested mountains and rivers.
North San Juan is a great place to explore. There's all kinds of hidden spots, neat places to go, river access with good swimming holes and little stores and cafes. This area is spotted with little organic farms, beautiful little houses and the occasional run-down looking trailer.Farm, house OR trailer, because North San Juan and the Ridge are so sparsely populated, every residence seems to have acres of property that the people are free to plant, enjoy or neglect at will.

PETS: Your well-behaved dog is welcome with advanced permission and agreement to our pet policy for an additional $10.00 per night. As this is a wilderness area with abundant wildlife, do not let your dog wander outside at night unattended. NEVER leave your dog unattended at the yurt or let them roam unleashed in the woods. Neighbors will report dogs who bark incessantly.
PARTIES and extra visitors are not allowed. Quiet time in the neighborhood is 10pm

Large pine, cedars and oaks surround the living areas and we have done clearing for fire safety without compromising the environment. There is an airconditioned bedroom inside, a sleeping loft with queen bed, a bath house with shower, connected by a deck in back and a small front covered patio. This is dry camping so bring water and your kitchen. A porta party is provided near the yurt. Be mindful of poison oak and please dive 10mph on the gravel road to keep dust down for my neighbors and enjoy the only privets south yuba river access in Hipcamp responsibly.
Pack out what you lack in and absolutely no open fire on the property. Propane grill are fine.

We LOVED this yurt. So peaceful and cozy. Easy to find, close to Nevada City, but feels private and secluded. The wood burning sauna and outdoor tub were great, as was the shower at the yurt. Had a great experience, and will definitely be back.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay! The woodfired sauna and outdoor tub under the stars or just what my husband and I needed. We really enjoyed the yurt space and the bed was very comfy. We will definitely go back. Just an FYI, for people looking this is a rustic experience - compost toilet, no wifi, so if you’re looking for something a bit refined, this might not be as awesome for you as it was for us.

Weekend Trip to The Yuba Yurt
The Yuba Yurt was everything we wanted! The Yurt itself was great! It was very cozy and inviting, we were able to make ourselves right at home. We did encounter a frog or 2 but they were more than happy to be relocated. We were able to cook ourselves breakfast and dinner with ease thanks to the well stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. While the grill is small and a bit flimsy it definitely does the job! My wife got to enjoy a soak in the outdoor tub and enjoy the peace and quiet that comes with the location. If you follow the directions as provided you shouldn’t have any issue finding the Yurt. 10/10 will be back!

such a gorgeous stay, can’t wait to come back. the owners were out of town at the burn, so a neighbor in a next-door yurt took good care of us and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. we were made to feel super welcome. one thing to note is that the bathtub is only semi-private since it’s accessible to others on the land, but we didn’t care at all! no one bothered us. get naked and enjoy!

I came to get away from a busy city life and to celebrate opening a restaurant. This property allowed me to completely disconnect, center and ground myself. As much as a wanted to get away from people and the world I soon realized that what I needed was to meet some truly amazing people who aligned with my core values on nature and passion. Akhi, Borro and Aldo were beyond warm and welcoming to us. They made us feel like family and I soon looked forward to bumping into them. He mentions this place to be Shangri-La and that is spot on the most perfect description of our experience on their land. Surrounded by rugged nature and wildlife with a trail walk to crystal clear sanctuary of river full of adventure and exploration. I stumbled upon this site and now am making it my regular space to recharge.

The walk down to the river (about 2m and 900 vertical feet) is not easy but the payoff is very handsome. Gorgeous swimming holes all to yourself. Akhi was a great host, very communicative. 🙏

Rachel and her husband were super kind and responsive to all we needed. The Yurt is cozy, the bed amazing, and the neighborhood cat and I are now buddies. It's a great place to spend time with a loved one without all the distractions...and if you want to visit a fun, eclectic city, there are a couple nearby.
