This was a walk from our campsite. Aside from the sounds of motorcycles going through the mountains it was very beautiful. 

This was a little walk up the hill near our campsite for the sunset. I was attempting to make a Gigapan image, but the light was changing too rapidly. 

Woke up to an empty, mist filled campground after it rained hard all night. Pretty fun actually.

site#2- Pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this site. 5 miles below looks like high desert, but buckhorn is lush. Giant ponderosa pines, wildlife. It's 7k feet but feels higher.

About half the sites have some shade, others are in full sun. Best are above the day use area. #1, #2 were great. The sites below the restrooms were good. Some sites were great for 203 tents, some were perfect for 1. 

Fit a Coleman 6 man/instant and down by picnic table there was room for another 2-4 man. Beware. In Summer, there are an abundant amount of bugs, mosquitos, etc down by the creek bed. Use a fire in day to smoke them away.

It's so nice to "meet you" my name is Taryn and my hubby's name is Anson. We are parents to two-year-old twins, so saying we have our hands full is an understatement. Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled
all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and events and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees.

Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature.   We are now open for daily camping and private events. Malibu Creek Orchard Retreat

A retreat in a steep canyon with beautiful ridgelines in the Malibu Creek area. Private camp spots and hidden trails away from it all, but yet so close. Only 30 Minutes from the Santa Monica Pier or 15 Minutes to the beaches of Malibu, still it feels like being a world away. You wouldn't expect nature to be so pristine and exciting that close to the city. Prior to check-in guests will need to sign the property’s lease agreement which requires a $300 fully refundable security deposit hold on the travellers credit card. For larger groups of five guests and more the deposit will be 50% of the total rent.

The Ranch

The property is located near Rancho Santa Margarita, Holy Jim Canyon, O’Neill Park, and Rose Canyon. The campsite is in an oak grove over one acre in size. This is a beautiful, peaceful site for your motor home, RV or tent. You will have hiking access to over 100 acres on our property. Trabuco Creek which runs through the property is usually flowing during the winter months.  The campsite can accommodate up to 50 people.  I have hosted family parties with 500+ people.

This is where you can park your RV or Trailer and enjoy expansive views and a gorgeous night sky.

Prospector Ranch

Prospector Ranch is an 1800s style ranch located right next door to the acre used for Hipcamping. 
The ranch is made up of their home and is also a venue for filming, photo shoots and small events. When not being used, camping guest are welcome to enjoy the area down around the authentic saloon, use the picnic area under large Oak trees and hike the property. We purchased the ranch 8 years ago and love being outside of the city in the mountains. Stargazing is a must when staying there!
The campsite is NEXT DOOR to Prospector Ranch, which is our 1800s-style ranch tucked away in the Santa Monica mountains, close to beaches, vineyards, amazing hiking, biking to the beach and the city! The wide open empty lot looks out at the beautiful mountains. Enjoy stunning sun sets and Picnic under the grand Oak Trees at the ranch or maybe come by the saloon next door for a cold beverage if we are around. :-). We are happy to point you in the direction for what ever you want to do.

The Landing Ranch (Off-Grid)

Experience true off-grid camping on a wide-open high desert property just 2 minutes from the river and 15 minutes from the small town of Little Rock. The land sits directly on the San Andrés Fault, which runs through the property, making it a rare and fascinating location for geology lovers, stargazers, and those drawn to raw, untouched landscapes.

This area is known for its dark night skies, quiet surroundings, and expansive desert views, with minimal light pollution and incredible sunrises and sunsets. Wildlife sightings are common, and the land offers a strong sense of space and stillness that’s increasingly hard to find.

You’ll enjoy stunning sunsets, sunrises, and the tranquil sound of birds chirping—an idyllic backdrop to clear your mind.

We’ve thoughtfully added a few comforts so you can enjoy nature without completely leaving modern conveniences behind. Take advantage of amenities like a refrigerator, sink, a bathroom with a flushable toilet, and a shower to refresh after a day of exploring. We also have a few electrical outlets and WiFi if you need to stay connected online or charge your devices.

Out of respect to our neighbors, we do not allow car camping in our parking lot. Car or RV sleeping is permitted on our Van Pad site only, although we do not provide RV hookups. 

To preserve the quiet, off-the-grid atmosphere we’ve created, we ask that you respect our noise curfew of 10PM. We look forward to having you stay!

Our home is located in historic 'Trabuco Canyon' in Orange County, CA.&nbsp; Our cabin 'number 63' was built in 1928 and all the cabins here in the cabin were sold as hunting cabins or used for vacationing.&nbsp; &nbsp;Live Oak Canyon Road, and Silverado Canyon Road are some of the nicest driving areas in Southern California.&nbsp;&nbsp;Learn more about this land:Welcome to Cabin 63... or, we like to call her, ‘The Little Red House’. Our little prefab studio is located in a quiet, safe, tucked away rural neighborhood... at the foot of beautiful Saddleback Mountain. Chickens and cats free range among the oak trees and you will often hear the sounds of horses meandering down the road.Our canyon has a real country feel to it and yet you are only minutes away from the city.&nbsp; We are situated in a hub of hiking and biking trails and,&nbsp; if desired, we are only 30 minutes from the beach.&nbsp; In the evening you can often hear the bleating of sheep on the nearby hills and coyotes yipping in the night.
