Access to miles of trails and roads on BLM/Forest Service land for hiking, ATV's, motorcycles and off-roading. You are also welcome to explore the property with the exception of one space on the upper portion where the owners reside. Views are beyond and nothing man made that is not on the property is visible from the property with the exception of one little red light on a US Cellular tower across the valley. We currently do not provide electricity at the sites but it is in the works. We have both available a short walk from the camp site in a common area. The power is limited to charging tech, some laptop time and the like, It wont run a hairdryer, etc. The WiFi is common use and has the ability to download and make WiFi calls. No guarantee of its suitability for any particular purpose, it will depend on usage in the moment. There is little to no reception up here so please plan ahead. US cellular has property and valley wide reception but that is the only one. Verizon can send texts and messages but is painfully slow or non-existent on internet. Also has voice calls occasionally but don't count on it. All the other cell services we do not know about. If you would like to spend a week or more here and would like a better power/internet solution then let us know. We can set it up for specific needs. Good if you wish to be in an amazing space to work remote or write. We are adding decks for lounging and views, a solar and wood heated community Jacuzzi for our guests and an outdoor shower tub as we speak and will add pictures as the projects are completed. We welcome ATV's, side by sides, 4x4's, snowmobiles and other such fun rec stuff but will require you to ride/drive on the bazillion acres of BLM land. It is on two sides of the property and a short distance. Riding on and off the property is limited to 10 mph to limit dust and noise and safety for everyone on the property. Please let us know if you plan on bringing any toys so we can notify the others on the property and send additional info, rules and such. There are several wineries on the road between us and Ashland. If you get drunk please arrange a ride or contact us for help. We support not driving while under the influence and will support you. we also have several responsible persons that live on the property and can be hired to drive/guide you on tours. We are in the process of creating wine tours of the valley which will include a driver. We have several lakes within 10-30 minutes for boating, and other water sports. Rock climbing is also available with the local sport crag within 25 minutes, castle crags is about 2 hrs away and several other small crags and bouldering around the valley 30 min.-1.5 hrs. Welcome to Roca Ranch Camp. This camp is ideal for those that want to be off the beaten path ... on the road less traveled yet conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Mt Shasta and 5 minutes to Weed. The Camp is on 10 pristine acres in the Hammond Ranch area with a beautiful view of Mt Shasta to the East. 25' RVs with tow car OK, Sprinter Vans/ Class C with tow car OK/Class B/ Trailer 25' with tow OK. If you have a car in tow please go to the top of the driveway at the loop and remove the car in tow before entering the driveway to the Hip Camp. If you are a bit longer just text us and we can see if it can work. All campers must be self contained with holding tanks. NO TENT CAMPING. This camp is for SELF CONTAINED RVs. If you arrive without your own toilet you will be asked to leave. Doggies are allowed and should be leased for the safety of wildlife. All pets must sleep in your RV. There are many critters out at night! There is a 20 AMP electric hook up to power. YOU CAN NOT RUN AN AIR CONDITIONER...AC.... ON A 20 AMP CONNECTION. You can use your own generator system to run AC for your trailer, motorhome or van. Generators hours are 8AM to 9PM. lease be respectful of our quiet space and only run generators when necessary. The camp is by a beautiful Zinnia garden which blooms in the summer and a small orchard which is all fenced in. The property is wooded and has a view of Mt Shasta from the camp. The camp has a picnic table, two outdoor chairs, WE ARE UNDER CAMPFIRE RESTRICTIONS AT THIS TIME. NO CAMPFIRES WILL BE ALLOWED. Please ask upon your arrival if restrictions have been lifted. There is a cool soaking tub available to beat the heat during the summer months! After confirmation of your reservation we will contact you with local information on places to see as you explore the area and our favorite places to shop and eat out. There are several walks right from the Camp to a beautiful pond and hill walks for panoramic views. All dirt roads... so great mountain bike exploring! You will be surrounded by beautiful large Ponderosa Pines, wild flowers and White Fir trees. There is open sky for star gazing and no lights to obstruct your sky views. This is a very quiet area that is visited by deer, bears, many species of birds, eagles, owls, rabbits, fox, hawks and more. Happy Camping!!!

This was an amazing and private spot to enjoy views of Shasta. The mountain looked surreal and the star gazing at night was some of the best we could ask for. It is on private property but set back a good distance from the house with unobstructed views of the valley and mountain. The main gravel road was minimally traveled and also made for a great walk right from the camp site as the surrounding area is undeveloped as well. We would definitely return and recommend to others. Alex was also very responsive and gave us a heads up on some heavy winds that were expected which was a nice warning as the weather had been beautiful so the wind was unexpected.

Patrice’s campsite is as described by others and in the hip camp listing. It sits in the middle of a large piece of property just past the town of Weed off Highway 97. We liked this location and site. We pitched our tent on flat ground that felt remote, quiet, and off the beaten path. Campsite 3 had a great view of Mt. Shasta, though when we were there it was covered in clouds. You should be aware that the Porta-potty feels like a long walk from the site (100-200 yards). Patrice is super responsive and will make sure you have everything you need.
