Camping on Mac's land was delightful. Mac is super friendly, and so is John. My family and I camped in tents, and the land was pretty flat. There is a communal bathroom that is regularly cleaned, which is really nice, and the showers get nice and hot. There is a communal sink to wash dishes in if you're camping, and there is wifi service in a certain area of the campsite. If you like animals, 2 cats roam around the campground and a couple of dogs, all of whom are very friendly. Overall, my family and I had a great experience here. Our only complaint would be that the wifi could be spotty at times, but it didn't matter because we were all there to get off our phones anyway.

2 nights at Glitter Cove Retreat

What a special place this is! I had a lovely, peaceful stay with my dogs. It was private, quiet and Cindy did a wonderful job at communication and directions. She made sure we were set with all we needed right when we arrived. I enjoyed spending time down at the shady dragonfly beach since it was a hotter day. It was such a treat to hear the flowing water right from camp. My dogs loved the freedom of playing and exploring around the area.

Shandie and Jesse’s land was beautiful and they were such beautiful people too! They were so kind and helpful, Shandie kept going out of her way to show us the trails and paths to take/avoid. We truly felt welcomed, and the views were gorgeous, so many wildflowers during this time of year. The site was perfect to hang out as a group, I cannot wait to go back again!

To give Cole ranch a 5/5 doesn’t do it justice! It was absolutely AMAZING and so much love is put into it. We were able to use canoes and go out on the river with our dog and have such a relaxing day. To top it off, the bathrooms are pristine and huge outdoor kitchen is stocked with any pot pan and utensil you could ever need. The showers had nice soaps and shampoos and everything was gorgeous and clean. Thank you so much Barry and family for an unforgettable stay.

Spring hosts an abundance of green hills, wild flowers and cooler weather. The river is higher, faster and colder. New life pops up everywhere. Baby ducks, geese, quail and beaver frequent the river. Glitter Cove waterfall is in its full glory. The nights can be cool, so come prepared. Summer is the perfect time to swim and lounge in the river. As the days heat up, the river begins to slow and warms up to a comfortable yet refreshing temperature. New beaches emerge, just waiting to be explored. In late summer, early fall, there is a feeling of calm. The river slows significantly but still feels amazing to sit in. You can hear its gentle flow and soothing sound as it trickles over the rocks. This is a great time time to explore the river as it is mostly shallow with some swim holes. Most of the time it is very quiet. There is another camp down stream owned by a wonderful family. They are here a couple times per week, and also rent their camp. You may hear them having fun and engaging in target practice. The river is a shared space but it is rare to see anyone else. Noise travels in the canyon so you may hear occasional barking or other vehicles. Hearing coyotes sing at night is very common. The rarely seen wildlife includes rattle snakes, bob cats, coyotes, fox, mountain lions and bears. Don't worry, our animal friends like to keep their distance. Hope to see you soon! Camp in the country with beautiful sunsets, sunrises, and night sky. A & M Ranch (40 acres) is located 10 min north of Fresno and near Hwy 41 which leads to the mountains. Many travelers stop here on their way to the national parks (Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia). We are also close to hiking trails, lakes, Sierra mountains, wineries, farmers' markets, and casinos. When you arrive, you will see our four alpacas in their pen. We have designated spots for Tent camping, although if you'd like another spot let us know. Each site is listed separately. We are listed on other platforms, so there may be other guests here. Marta also has a she shop if you are interested in refurbished items or alpaca products. We are not a day camp, so if you stay a few nights, we expect you will be out most of the day. You may hear coyotes at night, and see lots of squirrels and wild bunnies. Be careful of squirrel holes. We are generally only open Friday and Saturday, during the school year. *** If we do not respond right away and give approval it is because sometimes our schedule changes. We usually respond WITHIN the week of your stay.
