Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. We are dog friendly, but to keep our free range animals safe (and we have had them injured or killed by people not recognizing that dogs are predatory by nature), please keep your dog easily under control and on a short leash at all times. Also, because it's not possible to control your dog on a long line, dogs may NOT be tied or tethered anywhere on the property. For the sake of the antique furniture, do not leave your dog alone in the cottage unless they are crate trained and in a crate. If you want to let your dog off leash, 2 blocks down our road (and off property), there is a large scrub field where you can let your dog run free. If you have more people in your group and don't want to share, please check out the main cottage, Hammie and the Treehouse in separate listings. Please keep in mind that we are not a "pretend farm" set up to simply attract people to our facility. This is an actual working farm where shepherdess, Natalie Redding (Nat Geo Wild's, Shear Madness) and her working dogs, Lacey, Lad and Nesta work every day. This means there is dirt, dust, chickens, peacocks, alfalfa, sheep, bugs, and other living beings associated with nature and farm life. People who've not had the opportunity to experience the beautiful and grounding life on a working farm may not understand this. I do stress that if you're an animal lover who is excited about staying at a true working farm, your co-guests may not share your verve. Please let them know there is dirt, dust, very little concrete or pavement, and they will surely leave with dust on their shoes. While most guests (and your hosts) see the idiosyncrasies and obvious cohabitation with animals and bugs beautiful, you may not. If your primary focus is on amenities, and you're looking for a completely dust/dirt, cobweb/bug, and animal/animal sound free experience, a working farm is probably not a good fit for you. We are dog friendly, but to keep our free range animals safe (and we have had them injured or killed by people not recognizing that dogs are predatory by nature), please keep your dog easily under control and on a short leash at all times. This booking is for the Hay Barn cottage located at Namaste Farms in the heart of Temecula's Wine Country. This is a beautiful and quiet (with the exception of animal/farm sounds) private working farm situated down a wide and maintained disintegrated granite/dirt rd. While the cottage is only 1/2 a mile from the city limits, it has a rural feel and is centrally located to all wineries and most of the major equestrian facilities including Galway Downs, Green Acres and California Ranch Company. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all within 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, and if you want to peruse all of them, we can arrange a driver for you (30.00/hour) who will drive (Jaguar) and take you anywhere within Temecula/Murrieta while happily waiting for you so you can quickly go to your next destination. If you're not interested in any of the above activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, enjoy the sounds of serenity while roasting marshmallows at our wine barrel fire pit! The "Hay Barn" cottage is a studio with high ceilings, a beautiful stained glass window, a kitchenette and a rustically chic bathroom. The Hay Barn sleeps 3; one queen bed with a twin pull out. Please let us know ahead of time if you need the pullout and you MUST put the accurate number of people who are staying here. If you have more people in your group and don't want to share, please check out the main cottage, Hammie and the Treehouse in separate listings. Please keep in mind that we are not a "pretend farm" set up to simply attract people to our facility. This is an actual working farm where shepherdess, Natalie Redding (Nat Geo Wild's, Shear Madness) and her working dogs, Lacey, Lad and Nesta work every day. This means there is dirt, dust, chickens, peacocks, alfalfa, sheep, bugs, and other living beings associated with nature and farm life. People who've not had the opportunity to experience the beautiful and grounding life on a working farm may not understand this. I do stress that if you're an animal lover who is excited about staying at a true working farm, your co-guests may not share your verve. Please let them know there is dirt, dust, very little concrete or pavement, and they will surely leave with dust on their shoes. Had a great time staying here with my family! Everything was so clean , there was cell service so that was nice ! Also some things to note there is a cooking area just no fridge so bring ice and a cooler! No water heater so the shower was cold but felt nice!!! There is a working toilet on site so that was amazing! Two A frames one with a king size bed which was very comfortable it can get windy throughout the day and night but honestly wasn’t a big deal. There’s a port to charge things and some night lights We brought a portable dvd player so once it got dark we were inside the A frame

The site is so great to go camping with a group. Some of us actually used our own tents, some who couldn’t handle the cold used the a-frames that are available. It was a nice little getaway from the cities and all the noise. The stars are sooo pretty at night. I brought my dogs and it was great, I didn’t have to worry about them at all, granted they are trained. They were wandering around and the site is far away from at street, that I let them do their own thing. The girls liked it so much, one of them is coming back with her family to enjoy the sight again.

We had a wonderful time! The land was beautiful with views of the mountains. The campsite was beautiful, clean, spacious and had a clean bathroom with a HOT Shower. Awesome! We were only 2 people and we car camped but the site (#1 Elderberry Park) is a group site. What is cool is that there are little areas where tents could be pitched that each had a little privacy. We will definitely come back with some friends. There is hiking and a lot to explore. The icing on the cake were the folks at the farm. From David, who met us when we arrived and took us to our campsite and also gave us a tour of the land. To Rich who we met out in the olive groves harvesting olives. To Genine who prepared a wonderful tasting of the EVOO olive oils they produce and her Jelly/Jams. You could really tell that they had a love of the land and wanted to share it. Needless to say, we drove off happy (and some olive oils and jams). Until next time….

Such a cool sight with just the right amount of amenities to make for a great casual camping experience. The road up is no joke and you got to be unafraid to get up a dirt road that goes up quickly, but our cars could do it, even when we came in at night. Caleb was great and communicative and we will definitley coming back for the next time do our retreat, the amphitheater so well positioned and the town at night was beautiful to look at. Great sunrises and sunsets too!

We (11 people, 3 big tents) loved the campground! Beautiful views and rather quiet. Some owls, neighborhood dogs, and coyotes but nothing truly disturbing. The grounds slope a little, so make sure that you put up the tent so that your head can be at the highest point. Rich, our host, was great and was waiting for us to make sure that we would find the campground. Lovely set up and great bathroom. Rich and his ranch hand David gave us a tour of the grounds, explaining things about their working orchard. Thank you so much for all the personal attention!

Weekend Trip to The Engels Nest Fall Leaves!

The cabin is so cute and easy to find/access! It was less than a 5 minute drive from the lake and there were lots of trails nearby. The trails were a bit tricky to navigate with little signage so we didn't venture too far but the views were still great. I would recommend bringing essentials (shampoo, body wash, coffee) but the cabin had pots, pans, toaster, dishes, etc. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a relaxing slow paced weekend away!

Weekend Trip to Star Ranch

Osman and his family have created such an inviting and comfortable environment. A labor of love you can appreciate. The communication and attention on their end was fantastic. We got our car stuck in the sand and Osmans dad saved us by getting us out! (He made magic happen) One of the A frames is shorter and smaller so WATCH YOUR HEAD. Its still very comfortable and cute They provide fans and lanters per A frame. THE BED IN BIG A FRAME IS SO VERY COMFORTABLE. A battery powers a small charging station inside as well The kitchen and firepit area were niceley spaced and very comfortable to cook and work with. Everything was clean and well kept. They have a pool as well but we used it as extra table space. Shower is best during peak heat hours (after 12 pm) WIND is inevitable in the desert so youll have to take that up with god and be prepared for wind and nature. Wind does help with heat so i was grateful for it We saw two shooting stars our first night there. You have your own private walking trail and youve got the place to yourself. 10 acres(: I cant wait to return. Thank you to Osman and his incredible family again. You guys have done a wonderful job

The heat is no joke in the summer but we did keep cool but dipping our feet into the pool and taking an outdoor shower. Once the sunsetted and the temperature cooled down we cooked and made a fire in the pit and watched the full moon rising over the east mountains. We brought binoculars so it was a gorgeous sight to see. We also spontaneously caught a shooting star in the sky!! Everything was very comfortable and stocked. We loved the cabin structure too, very unique. Overall it was a great experience and is a pleasant place to stay.

This is a really cool site with great amenities. I usually camp very nomadically and this was a very nice change of scenery! I tent camped but will be bringing the family back because the triangle lodging would be perfect for them. The bathroom is clean and very functional and was impressed with the shower set up. I also liked the common area and cooking areas. Really great for windy environments with good shade. Lots of great aspects to this site and hope to bring the family during the winter time! Thanks for the great camp!
