When my husband and I were dating in NY we confessed our mutual desire to get back "home" to the west. It made me fall in love with him even faster. So when we married we moved to Washington DC knowing that in time we would make it west. 5 years later, when the traffic and the politics has taken its toll, we made a trip to Tucson and fell in love with this charming property that exudes all the beauty and grace of the Sonoran Desert. We looked at each other as we walked around looking at the stunning Mtn. Views and the mesquite fence and knew we were finally "home."
I've always adored the SW Hummingbirds and wanted to name the property La Hacienda Chuparosa. When we moved in, for the first week, every morning a hummingbird was sipping nectar from one of our plants in the front yard. We knew it was meant to be.
So we added a couple of horses to our dream, built some stalls, and now are ready to welcome you to La Hacienda Chuparosa. We know you will find the same magic here that we do.

We enjoyed our second stay at the Double H Hacienda. We also stayed here in January of last year. Our host Bill, is friendly and helpful and we enjoyed seeing the horses and meeting the dogs.

They have a ton of trees and we were able to pick as much as we wanted. They have a nice pool with hot tub. We liked that the land was fenced and gated, where our two dogs could run free and play with the other dogs on the property.

My girl and I camped at Saguaro Sky Ranch for two nights with our dogs and loved every minute of it. Barb and Brian are top-notch hosts — some of the kindest folks you’ll ever meet. Quiet, peaceful, no city noise, just stars overhead and a fire pit at night. Even had a horse and ponies around, which was a nice touch. They were also accommodating to our two dogs, allowing us to let them loose in a fully caged area.
Two thumbs up. 5 stars, 10/10 — would recommend to anyone.

We have been traveling full time in our RV for 6 months and this was one of our favorite stays. Bill and his family are great hosts, and made us feel right at home. Our kids loved the in ground trampoline, the hot tub and the playground, and there was plenty of room for them to run around. The equine experience was a highlight for our family, and we learned a lot about horses. Couldn’t recommend Double H Hacienda any higher.

This beautiful site is one of my two favorite hipcamps. It is very near Saguaro National Park, but also only about 3 miles away from restaurants and stores. Barb's place is lovely - lots of open, Saguaro-filled land, horses, and open sky. Barb was super nice and helpful, right from the get-go when I first contacted her asking for information about her place.

Barb’s space is lovely, complete with a koi pond and shaded picnic spot. She has created quite the little haven of relaxation. Outdoor bathroom/shower was perfect, exactly what we needed for our one night. I will say, there was quite a bit of road noise, which was unavoidable but not awesome.

A very nice rv site situated with good views and a nice degree of privacy, nestled in an area with semi rural homes, some with horses. The site, as advertised, has full hookups, all working, and is level with room to park your tow or second vehicle. The owners were very prompt and helpful with communications. Highly recommended!

It was a relatively private spot, and flat. The view out our back end, facing West, was spectacular, especially at sunset. All utilities worked as stated. Plenty of wildlife, javalinas( look like boars, but no big teeth. You still don't want to make them angry. We had a family of ten come thru most mornings. Very much worth it.

Julie and her husband were wonderful hosts! The property is fully fenced in and feels very safe. The campsite was comfortable and well setup, with a nice fire pit. Easy access to the toilet and shower in the tack room. Their dogs are extremely friendly and fun to have around and being right there with the horses was exactly what I was looking for.
