Weary Traveler Haven

All weary travelers welcome to our quiet desert haven! With 360 degrees of beautiful views! Our tent site includes a deck platform with securement hooks to assemble your tent on and stay safely elevated off the ground.

RVs welcome! We can currently accommodate up to a 36ft travel trailer or horse trailer with living quarters. This is a dry camp area. There is a portable toilet with sink for campers to utilize. We also have an Inverter as a rental option to provide power for an RVer if so desired. We can also fill Fresh Water Tanks for use while camping. We are currently working on a dump station. Also to ensure that we keep our little slice of heaven beautiful, please pack out what you pack in. Please do not leave trash or food at the campsites or leave food unsecured this will attract wildlife which will surely make your camping trip interesting. 

Our property is surrounded with views of Mount Lemmon, the Tortolita Mountain Park, Black Mountain, Newman Peak, and Picacho Peak.  Come enjoy the prolific wildflowers of the desert bloom this spring! Campers can enjoy a warm beautiful sunset and star gazing in the evening, with views of the hazy band of the Milky Way and shooting stars next to the fire pit provided at each site. This is a safe place to get off the road for a bit,  or to take a break from the busy/noisy city life, to relax and unwind in nature! Dogs are welcome, but please pick up after your pet!

There is also a Round Pen provided for travelers with up to 2 horses with a fill station for water. Feed will be intermittently available to purchase for those in need.

Quiet and private parking area on half of a 2 acre lot (own occupies other side with a wash separating the 2 sides).  Located in a sparse residential neighborhood on a private road.  Over 150ft to the nearest neighbor, located at 3,100ft of elevation, with panoramic views of the Catalina Mountains and Oro Valley.  

Nearby attractions include Catalina State Park, Coronado National Forest, and Arizona State Trust land.  Despite all the public land nearby, it is only 6 minute drive to a grocery store and restaurants.  Easy access to hiking and biking trails.

Wild Burro Desert Retreat

We are empty-nesters enjoying our retirement years on our 5 beautiful acres in Marana, AZ.

 We are conveniently located just 7.7 miles (15 minutes) east of I-10.'

*Please note:  We do not allow tent, truck, or car camping.  All guests must have a self contained, trailer, RV, or camper van with a working toilet. We have full hook ups with a 30 amp electrical service. 

 We enjoy traveling in our trailer and have recently determined that we would love to provide a convenient, beautiful and peaceful camping experience for others!

You may wish to visit the Ritz Carlton - Dove Mountain which is just a short 6.3 miles up the hill. There, you can enjoy a delicious meal and/or the best of golfing.

 Dove Mountain Brewing is 2.7 miles down the hill and offers locally handcrafted beer! Enjoy the best beer and grilled food while playing darts or watching your favorite sports team on TV.

 The best thing about our property is the feeling of being secluded yet having everything else nearby.

Acres of saguaros in the desert with a perfect view of one of the best peaks in the Tucson Mountain range. Feel protected by the 1/4 mile dirt drive into the property and secluded while being close to shopping and civilization.  This is the best of the Sonoran Desert and is like camping in the Saguaro National Monument. &lt;&gt;

Lush Desert Ranch

You will be staying on several acres of lush desert filled with all types of desert plants, rocks and wildlife with mountain views!  Explore around the property to find geodes, lava, granite, marble, limestone and more!  Wildlife abounds with everything from rattlesnakes to cattle!  We have several washes to explore and are told we are in an area with the most diverse desert plants.  We are in view and an hour from Mt Lemon or 45 min to Picacho Peak and 30 min to Catalina State Park, Walmart and restaurants and a theater.

It’s perfect for an RV that's 30' or less, bumper tow trailers that are 24' max and 5th wheels that are 26' and under.

Picacho RV N Truck Park

Large camping and storage site for RVs, Trucks, and cars. We have seating, tents, beds, fire pits, petting zoo.  There is water in tanks, but no running water with hoses, no electric connections at this time.  Restrooms are outdoor like a camping site.   Ideal for Rv's and people who want a full camping experience.  We have a storage section for anything and everything.   Property is visible from the highway I-10 exit 211.  We are very close to Flying J, Pilot, Truck Wash, Denny's, restaurants, Tire Shop, Napa Auto Parts, Dollar General, Grocery Store, Eloy Fire Department.  Property manager Michael is onsite 24/7 to help, text him.

Saguaro View

DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS!  Located at the end of private paved road, very close to restaurants and shopping yet secluded adjacent to Saguaro National Park.  Trail for hiking and horseback riding right from the property.  Note this is a natural desert setting occupied by local hazards such as rattlesnakes, scorpions, spiders and prickly vegetation.   DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS! Any other app should be fine. Directions are from I-10, west on Ina Road 2.5 miles, south on Camino Verde 1 mile, west on Belmont past first house, south on Happy Trail to last house on right.

Angel's Summerhaven Retreat

The main camping area is a flat area on the mountainside East of Summerhaven, with a steep approach (be prepared!). The view from the area is great, and the area has some pines, as do the neighboring properties. Turkey cross the property seasonally, as well as the occasional deer. This is a leave no trace site.

The site is current undergoing enchancements, so there will be evidence of demolished boulders, landscaping, and fencing. The site is safe to traverse, but care should be taken to avoid rock and uneven terrain, fence posts, and so on. Usage of the site is at your own risk.

Toilet and waste:

A bucket toilet is provided, with composting bags. Toilet waste, as well as other waste, must be taken with you, when you leave; there is no trash service. There are sometimes dumpsters in town that can be used to dispose of waste.

The bucket toilet consists of a bucket, bucket seat, funnel, and hose. The consumables are composting toilet bags, wood shavings/chips, and toilet paper. You do not need to use the funnel and hose, but may if you wish. At a minimum, place the bag into the bucket, with the bag edge over the edge of the bucket, and place the bucket seat onto the bucket. The bucket seat should firmly fit onto the bucket, and retain the bag.

When your stay is complete, please make sure the seat and bucket are clean, as well as the funnel and hose, if you used them. Please make sure all supplies are returned to the Toilet Supplies container.

The address is 12672 N Ray Ave.

Make your way to the intersection of N Sabino Canyon Parkway and Retreat Rd. in Summerhaven, AZ. Head east up the steep Retreat Rd., and make the right onto Tucson Ave., followed by a quick left onto what Google says is Ray Ave. Make an immediate right onto N. Ray Ave, and follow the dirt road until a steep driveway on the left appears. This driveway (and the other entrance 100 ft further on) provide access to the land. If trying to park off the driveway, enter the first driveway entrance to drive forward onto the approach and park, or enter the second driveway and then back onto the approach and park. Once parked (See Parking for additional instructions), access the land from the driveway according to the images.

Parking:

WARNING: Do not park on the driveway itself. There is a half-moon driveway that provides a way to either drive forward or backward onto the approach. Park on the (1) dirt approach to the land, just off the steep driveway, or (2) on the half moon parking spot at the top of the driveway, or (3) at the bottom on Ray Ave, out of the way. If any vehicles are blocking vehicular access to the dirt approach to the land, please contact me.

Recreation:

The shops of Summerhaven are close. Marshall Gulch is a popular recreation area on the Arizona Trail, South of Summerhaven. There is also a lot of opportunity to hike and rock climb on the area.

The area is not very suitable for RVs; it is not possible to bring an RV onto the property.

Hello and welcome to Homegrown Haven, where you can enjoy mother nature in a full 360. Enjoy scenic view of 10 acres and relaxation, Enjoy Hiking and bike trails. We are located 45min away from the Tortalita mountains. ATV trails are available to get to Tortalitas and State land. We are 20 Minutes away from local restaurants such as R&R Pizza, Jack in the box and Starbucks and Panda Express and a couple gas stations. We are 25 Minutes away from the Famous Ostrich Ranch.  Rv and Tent camping is available, as well as campfires during the cold months. We offer free photos to be taken with our show steers that are Halter broke. RV Septic dump available for additional fee and free water refill for Rv or tent Campers. Pet friendly just please keep pets close to your camp site. Property Owners do Live on site for assistance or emergency needs.

Nestled up against the foothills of the Catalina Mountain Range. Enjoy Great Views, and the silence of the Desert. This wonderful Spot is only minutes from the base of Mt. Lemmon. Saguaro East National Park. If you feel like walking you can walk along the neighborhood stream bed and enjoy some of the plants and animals that the Sonoran Desert has to offer. 

The Hip Camp Spot is best for Vans, small travel trailers and even those who wish to pitch a tent.  If you are adventurous you may even be able to ride a horse.
