We were very happy with our stay in the cabin at Indian Hills. The cabin itself was quite nice, with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom and kitchen area. The grounds of the resort are nice too, clean and well kept. We also appreciated the smooth check-in process. We would definitely stay there again.

For future hipcampers, if you're coming from Phoenix, do not come via I-10's exit 69, Avenue 75E is very uncomfortable to drive on in an RV.

We had a wonderful time at River Sand’s! The 2 bedroom + loft was perfect for our family of 4. It felt like our cosy home was plopped down in the middle of a desert oasis! Surrounded by nature, RVs, campers, and sky! The clubhouse and pool were our favorite part, and make it feel like a resort hotel. We would definitely rent a cabin again, but plan to come back to camp as well. The laundry and shower facilities were a plus! The staff is so friendly and covered every detail! Highly recommended!

By far the best RV park experience anywhere in the area and surrounding areas! Spacious, clean, well maintained, and with extra amenities most places in the area don’t have. Ball courts, putting green, outdoor kitchens, pizza oven, and turf dog park. Also a variety of accommodation choices, RV sites with full hookups, cabins, guest cottages, even teepees! The best camp host ever, Angie. Fantastic communication and responses to guest needs! So much to be said for the pleasant experience of my stay here that it can’t all fit! Thanks Indian Hills! Where do I start… First off, Jen was a fantastic host who was super accommodating. I can’t describe how amazing her hospitality was even during the end of the season. I truly believe in in her mission for spiritual healing in nature, especially those who suffer from PTSD. Second, the property is amazing that is rich in history. There’s so much to do and see without the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday crowds. It is perfect for those who are trying to get away from the busyness of life even just for a couple days. The views were breathtaking. The hiking was fantastic and the lake was super close. Third, then the night sky at this property is absolutely stunning. Looking up at the stars never seen more clear than any picture book or video. My favorite part was the silence of the area during the night. It was the same as or better than a hyperbaric chamber. This was absolutely what I was looking for to reset my mindset after the memorial Day weekend. I absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

I had the best time camping at Almo Lake. The campground was beautiful, had a bathroom, shower, kitchen area. It had it all. I did tent camping but I’ll be back with cooler temps and I plan to stay in the clamping tent. They are nice! I had dinner catered 2 nights and the food was delicious! I rented a kayak 2 days and the lake was so peaceful. I saw lots of wildlife. I def rec this camp ground and will be back! Thanks for an amazing solo camping trip ❤️

River Sands is a newer RV resort that offers long and short stay. We were only there a few days while traveling through. The Clubhouse is very nice with game tables, TVs, sitting areas, exercise room (lots of equipment) and bathrooms. The pool is beautiful and there is a hot tub available. Sites are gravel but lots of space between. The park is huge with over 300 spaces. Laundry room & showers are clean. If you want a picnic table you have to rent one. Because the park is so large, depending on where your site is, you will probably need to drive or rent a golf cart to get to the clubhouse, laundry, beach, dog park, or fishing lake. It would be nice to have more shaded areas (i.e., cabana/ramada areas). It gets pretty hot and very little shaded areas. We brought our dogs and I was concerned about their feet b burning as there are very few grassy areas, if any. The beach has some cabanas. Everyone was very nice and friendly. I'm certain in a few more years, when the vegetation has a chance to grow, it'll be absolutely beautiful.
