Boom, easy explanation. Now, on to the good stuff. In Utah, the St. George Field Office manages around 629,000 acres of land in Washington County. The environment out here is pretty dang unique, because it’s situated at the convergence of the Mojave Desert, the Great Basin, and the Colorado Plateau. Rob was a welcoming host. Site was neat, and requested firewood bundle was well-seasoned and right at the fire pit. Picnic table and grill were nice additional touches. Fun watching the cows next door, and we had brief visits from the chickens and, early in the morning, a pig. Great place for a night, no hesitation recommending.

This was just an awesome place to camp. There was only a gentle breeze on the evening. I was there and the sunset lighting up the surrounding hills and rocks was just exquisite. A family of wild turkeys walked through to get a drink at a nearby creek or irrigation canal and then walked back to wherever they were sleeping. The host is just such a nice guy and I was able to set up my tent without a rain fly and watch the stars in the outdoor shower was a real treat. You can’t go wrong with this place. Highly recommend.

This was the perfect spot to spend our first night in our rental RV on the way from Las Vegas to Utah. No frills, but a good level place to park, a nice picnic table and fire ring. The toilet was simple, but would get the job done, and the shower surprised us with strong water pressure and good warm weather. I would stop there again if I’m passing through.
