We are a family-owned RV park and Tiny Home Glampground located 50 minutes from the east entrance to Grand Canyon National Park and only 20 minutes north of Flagstaff, Arizona. Our family -- Adam, Shelley, Zoe, Ava, and Cairo -- purchased the RV park in 2021. The property was a trading post for decades but had fallen into disrepair. We have been busy painting, cleaning and improving the grounds to become a comfortable oasis for your family. Our location on US Hwy 89 on the east side of the highway is only a few miles from the breathtaking aspens of Lockett Meadow, the ruins of Wupatki National Monument and the lava flows at Sunset Crater. The park is a short drive to downtown Flagstaff, and on the way to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Moab and Durango. Stay the night or as long as you like! Drink in the hibiscus sunrises above the Painted Desert and relax into the long shadows of the San Francisco Peaks. Back to basics beneath endless desert sky. Hike giant rock sculptures, gather petrified wood, maybe find the hidden pond or seasonal Little Colorado to splash in. Powdery views of the Navajo Plateau and snowy San Francisco Peaks stretch across the horizon. Nights bring incredible stars, silence, and total peace.
This place is called “Stone Soup,” named both for the geology and the folktale where everyone brings something to create something greater together. The hut was built with love during musical campouts. Recycled materials from nearby building sites may sometimes be available first-come, first-served, but please expect nothing beyond open land and sky.
There are 40 acres to explore and camp on. You can drive around the property in a regular vehicle and find your own spot. Camp anywhere away from the road or across from the hut for at least half a mile.
If you use the hut, please leave it and the land better than you found them.
The vision is simple: adventurous, creative, nature-loving kindred spirits gathering in the “stone soup” spirit, bringing what they need while sharing what they can. You’ll need to bring in and pack out everything, including water, food, bedding, and trash. There is currently no outhouse, though dunes provide some privacy if needed. Wind can pick up, so car camping is recommended over tents, though RVs work well too.
At the moment this is an isolated, wild campsite with no running water, toilet, cooking setup, or supplied firewood, though fires are allowed and you may find wood farther down the road. The photos are outdated and may show amenities that are no longer there.
Directions: From Flagstaff, take Highway 89 north toward Cameron. After Gray Mountain, continue a few miles to mile marker 461, before Cameron and before a large pump station. Turn right onto the dirt road directly across from mile marker 461, just before a yellow school bus stop. Follow the main dirt road for a little over 7 miles, keeping right at the fork. Stay on the biggest road, which mostly goes straight. At one point you’ll pass through fencing on both sides.
The hut is very hidden from the road. After just over 7 miles, look for tire tracks veering off to the right. Turn there. As soon as you leave the main road, you’ll immediately see the hut.

Easy parking with convenient location to nearby National Monuments. Great availability of facilities (laundry, grills and fresh eggs (based upon chicken availability), a great night sky. Also, Shelley and Adam were very responsive to requests for information and modifications to the reservations.

Spent one night boondocking at this site. Directions were very easy to follow and the sites that have a combination of tiny homes, tent sites and RV spots are spaced nicely to give each of them space. The clubhouse was well-appointed with practical items for purchase, games like air hockey, laundry and a restroom with a well-attended funky and playful vibe. Bonus for happy chickens onsite who lay eggs that you can buy.
I will absolutely go back. Super close to Sunset Crater and Wupatki National Monument.

I absolutely loved camping at Adam and Shelly's Camp. The directions were spot on, and the views at camp beautiful. The share space for all campers was a blessing 🙌.. from exercise equipment to all kinds of activities for kids and adults. Farm fresh eggs 🥚 just yummm. Fresh water and bathrooms an added bonus, my puppers loved the dog 🐕 park. Can't wait to plan my next trip.

Grand Canyon Oasis was clean, welcoming, and a great place to stay. The lodge had games and art supplies that our kids absolutely loved, which was a nice bonus after a day of traveling. We were towing a 35-foot travel trailer and found it easy to get in and out of the property. They also had a well-stocked store with many of the items travelers might forget (and snacks too!). The hospitality was outstanding, and the staff made us feel right at home. We would gladly stay here again.

Such a great spot, and great people too! Convenient, fun for the whole family and lots of perks like snacks/food items and really everything that you forgot. The kids LOVED the chicken coop and picked a couple fresh strawberries. Our youngest LOVED learning pool and we enjoyed a puzzle and some games. Overall great spot!!
