While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote. We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible. We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. Our Prickly Pear site has a pull through for campers and RVs. Our RV site has 30 amp electric and black water dump station. All of our sites are fenced in, and have many, many cool amenities such as fire pits, sinks with fresh, pure water, table with 4 chairs, gas grills and lounge chairs/porch swing. Our property in a 160-acre neighborhood surrounded by open desert state lands. In our sustainable community/neighborhood are like minded, peaceful people who are as connected to and respectful of the land as we are. Weekend Trip to Karla's Hummingbird Guest Ranch

This was my first time using HipCamp and boy, does Karla set the bar high. The property speaks for itself, attention to detail everywhere, very clean property and very well organized and thought out. Treated us with a community fire pit, got to make some new camp friends along the way. Restroom was super convenient and clean, the tent site allowed us to have a covered gazebo over us for added warmth and comfort. Overall a 5-star experience and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Oh, and Reba the donkey is super friendly and loves ear scritches in the morning 😁

What a wonderful campground! It was extremely clean. Absolutely beautiful location and so conveniently located near the national park! Communication was excellent. The hosts were so friendly and kind and hospitable. Our children had a wonderful time playing and doing a scavenger hunt! The bathrooms were very well-maintained as was the laundry room. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

My stay here was so lovely! Barb was very communicative and welcoming. The RV “Florence” was spotless clean and super cozy. It was easy to temperature control and the bed was comfortable. The location was super close to Saguaro National Park and also close to downtown Tucson. I would definitely stay again!

What a great spot. Very welcoming staff, and great vibe that they've obviously put a lot of work into creating. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The common area is a great spot to hang out, watch a movie, and meet fellow travelers. The general area has some great food trucks and a fun neighborhood dive bar right across the street. Looking forward to coming back through.

Would 100% recommend again. My husband and I stayed here for one night and it was such a relaxing and wonderful stay. The camp host was very friendly and informative. It was only a 7 min drive from Saguaro National Park visitor center. Hopefully I get to stay here again! The bathrooms and shower are very clean, and the shower was super-hot, and we were both able to take a much-needed shower! Adobe was very clean and smelled really nicely like Sage. We were able to cook with our camp supplies and our air mattress fit perfectly on the bed. I slept really well and was very warm in the Adobe. You can purchase supplies needed, do laundry, and do your dishes with hot water. Definitely worth the money especially if you are on a long road trip worth the stay!

We were only there for a night, but we really enjoyed sleeping next to the Saguaro and other cactus. The birds all over the cacti in the morning were also a real treat. The campsite was spacious and set up nicely. The showers and restrooms were set up nicely, as was the shared entertainment area. Communication before our visit was also very helpful.
