Enjoy access to our open pastures for picnics and educational self guided and in-person guided tours. At check-in, we will provide you with arrival instructions, guiding you towards a few special places around the ranch and nearby areas to learn about our watershed, our farming practices and regenerative agriculture. We also offer a variety of grass-finished beef, lamb, pork, eggs, and vegetables grown and raised right here on the ranch at our farm shop. The fees listed on this site are for the educational tours. By supporting us through our educational tours you also reserve a camping spot for FREE if you wish to stay with us overnight and enjoy your agricultural products from the farm. Primitive sites are back-to-basics: no hookups, no structures, no potable water. There is non-potable water available for washing—please bring your own drinking water. A shared composting toilet is available to all campers. Winds can be strong in spring and summer, but sites are placed on the leeward side for protection. Fires are permitted when conditions allow—check with us on arrival. We’re just 10 minutes from Tomales, 15 from Valley Ford, and 3.5 miles from Dillon Beach. Bring a kayak or canoe and paddle from camp to the Pacific via the Estero. Primitive and RV Sites with sweeping views of West Marin pastureland at True Grass Farms, a working ranch along the Estero San Antonio. Our campsites are well spaced for privacy and quiet, surrounded by birdsong, grazing animals, and the rhythms of ranch life. Each primitive site overlooks the Estero and is near a mowed grass road for easy access. It’s peaceful here at night—other campers may be nearby, but you’ll feel immersed in nature. Looking for more comfort? We offer two RV sites: The Heron’s Nest is a cozy trailer tucked under a large willow, just 10 feet from the water. It includes a queen bed, kitchenette, indoor composting toilet, outdoor shower, firepit, and direct Estero access—perfect for two guests. The Badger’s Den is a private full trailer with a queen bed, kitchen, dining area, indoor shower, and composting toilet—plus a private wood fired sauna, firepit, and peaceful surroundings. Estero Edge This peaceful, private site sits right on the banks of the Estero San Antonio, offering direct water access, wide-open views, and the quiet solitude of our most secluded campsite. Tucked away from the other sites and naturally sheltered from westerly winds, it’s an ideal spot to unwind, paddle, and reconnect with the land. There’s space for two small tents or one large (4-person) tent, and parking for one car comfortably—or two if parked close together. You’ll also find a fire ring for cozy evenings and non-potable water on-site (bring your own drinking water). This site includes direct river access, so feel free to launch your kayak or canoe right from camp and explore the Estero all the way to the ocean. The shared composting toilet is just a short walk away (details provided at check-in). You’ll also have access to our pastures for peaceful walks or picnics, and when you arrive, we’ll point you toward a few hidden gems around the ranch. A liability waiver is required upon check-in. We’re just 5 minutes from the town of Tomales and 10 minutes from Dillon Beach, a favorite coastal destination. Come prepared, settle in, and enjoy a truly quiet retreat. A grassy bank provide a great place to stretch out with a book, birdwatch, or just enjoy the view. There’s an easy launch area for kayaks or canoes, and the site is a great fit for a camper van or 1 large tent (or 2 small ones). While there’s no running water or fire ring, the calm setting and direct access to the water make it a favorite for those looking to unplug and slow down. The bathroom is just a short walk up a mowed trail, and parking is available for one vehicle (or two if you don’t mind a tight squeeze). Guests are welcome to explore our surrounding pastures at their own pace—great for a picnic, a walk, or simply taking in the open space. At check-in, we’ll point you toward a few of our favorite quiet spots around the ranch. A signed liability waiver is required. We do our best to leave the land better than we found it, and we ask that all visitors treat the space with care and respect. Please plan to pack out your trash and leave no trace behind. Located right beside the Estero San Antonio, this cozy site offers easy access to the water, peaceful views, and a soft grassy bank shaded by a willow—perfect for relaxing, reading, or launching a kayak. It’s a short walk from the shared composting toilet via a mowed trail, and is positioned close to our Owl campsite while still offering plenty of quiet and privacy. There’s space for one large tent or two small tents, and parking for one car. A fire ring by the Estero makes this a great place to gather and enjoy the evening. Please note: there is no running water at this site, so be sure to bring your own cleaning and drinking water. With direct river access, you can bring a kayak or canoe and paddle straight from camp, exploring the Estero all the way out to the Pacific Ocean. Guests are welcome to roam our open pastures for picnics and walks, and when you check in, we’ll point you toward a few favorite spots on the ranch. A liability waiver will be required at check-in. Set on the flat footprint of an old barn, this is our most easily accessed campsite, making it a great choice for families, small groups, or anyone looking for a bit less of a hike in. The site offers wide views of the Estero San Antonio and the wildlife it draws, in a peaceful and open setting. There’s space for 3–4 tents, parking for up to 3 vehicles, and a fire ring for relaxed evenings. Non-potable water is available on-site for rinsing or washing—just be sure to bring your own drinking water. The composting toilet is located a short walk up a mowed trail. You’re welcome to explore our pastures at your leisure—perfect for a picnic or a slow walk through the landscape. When you arrive, we’ll share directions to a few special spots on the ranch worth wandering to. A liability waiver will need to be signed upon check-in. From camp, you'll enjoy wide, open views of the Estero San Antonio and the wildlife it draws in—ideal for those looking to slow down and soak in the landscape. The walk to the campsite is 400 feet up a mowed trail from the designated parking spot, and the bathroom is a short walk downhill. Please note, this is a walk up site, do not drive your vehicle up the path to Quail's nest. There’s room for two small tents or one large (4-person) tent, and designated parking for Quail is a short walk away. You’re welcome to roam our pastures for a picnic, a quiet walk, or just to take in the space. At check-in, we’ll point you toward a few of our favorite hidden spots on the ranch. A liability waiver will need to be signed upon arrival. We do our best to leave the land better than we found it, and we hope guests will share in that care and respect for the quiet beauty of this place. Please pack out all trash and leave no trace. The Badger Den + Private Sauna Tucked into a quiet corner of our working ranch, this fully outfitted trailer offers a comfortable, adult-only retreat with the unique bonus of a private sauna just steps away. It’s a peaceful place to unwind while staying connected to the rhythms of ranch life. The trailer accommodates up to 2 adults and includes: – A queen-size bed – A fully stocked kitchen with cookware, utensils, and place settings – A dining area and cozy living space – Running water, a private indoor shower, and a composting toilet Outside, you’ll find an in-ground fire pit, perfect for stargazing or winding down at the end of the day. The site has a gravel driveway with drive-up access and parking for one vehicle. As part of a working ranch, you may see staff and ranch hands going about their daily tasks nearby. You’ll also likely hear the sounds of ranch animals and may cross paths with our ranch dog Jack and a few friendly barn cats who like to visit the area. This is a quiet, adult-only site with a maximum of 2 guests. A Cozy Farm Getaway

We had an amazing stay at this glamping trailer and would absolutely come back again. The trailer was cozy, comfortable, and much better equipped than we expected. Guido was incredibly accommodating and available to answer any questions we had about the property. One of the highlights was the farm shop, which offered fresh farm-raised meats, eggs, firewood, and other locally made items. There were also beautiful flowers, balms, and other products that weren't currently in stock but were great to see available for purchase at other times. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and full of friendly animals that made the experience even more special. Despite thinking we had packed everything we would need, we accidentally left behind a pan and eating utensils. Thankfully, the trailer was stocked with just about everything imaginable, including pots and pans, silverware, seasonings, a toaster, and a coffee maker. The nights got a little chilly, but the heater kept the trailer comfortable, and the fan was perfect during the warmer parts of the day. The true star of the trip, however, was the wood-burning sauna. It made for a unique and memorable glamping experience that we haven't found anywhere else. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with beautiful scenery, thoughtful amenities, and a unique farm stay experience, this is an excellent choice. We would definitely stay here again.

Quail Nest
Quail Nest is a quiet campsite that feels tucked away from the rest of the campground. It sits up a short path beside a hillside and is surrounded by tall vegetation, providing plenty of privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. While the plants block most views of the surrounding hills, there are still some nice views along the short walk to the site. The campsite includes a fire pit with a cooking grate, plus a table and a couple of chairs, making it comfortable for relaxing and cooking meals. I enjoyed my stay at Quail Nest and would gladly return. If you're looking for privacy and a peaceful camping experience, this site is worth considering.

I’ve stayed at the campsites on the property and while I enjoy them, the Badger Den takes the medal. Emily is so welcoming and accommodating and made us feel at home. The trailer and farm fresh store has everything you need for an excellent glamping experience. We used the dry sauna everyday we were there and took a stroll through the farm to the pond. The property is such a magical place and played a big part in my engagement proposal. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway! Will be back soon ☀️✨

A Peaceful and Delightful Stay

What a fun and peaceful stay! Checking in at the store and picking up our delicious produce and meat box was such a treat. We loved taking in the views over the pastures and making new friends with the cows and sheep. The tall grass and spring flowers offered plenty of privacy from other sites, making it feel truly serene. The fire pit and picnic table were in great shape, perfect for relaxing evenings. Exploring the property, birdwatching, and enjoying some slow, quiet moments made this stay absolutely perfect. Bonus: the location is close to local cheese producers, a meadery, fresh seafood, and multiple quaint towns—perfect for day trips and tasting the best of the region!

Egret’s nest was picturesque! Right on the estuary! We loved the herd of cows who visited us on many occasions! Sites were pretty spread out so we had a lot of privacy. Hosts were really helpful with finding the site because that was a little challenging.

Stayed at the Quail’s Nest and it was lovely. While it’s technically a drive in site, it’s only about a 2 min walk to the site and it’s nice and private. Would highly recommend this spot and can’t wait to come back to check out the other sites on the property!

Staying at Guido and Emily’s was great. We had no issues finding our camp site, and what a little piece of heaven it is! We were right next to the brook and on the other side our neighbors were a herd of cattle. Woke up to the sounds of birds, cattle and a wonderful breeze. A perfect break from SF, especially on Bay to Breakers weekend!

I stayed at the quails nest camp and it was amazing. I rode my bike there from the east bay and it is a perfect spot for bike touring/ packing. It was quiet and there are so many birds. I will not hesitate to go back.

This was one of the best stays I've ever had on Hipcamp. Guido and Lindsay were absolutely stellar hosts, the meats and eggs from the farmstand were to die for, and the campsites themselves were well-kept. It's clear that the hosts are passionate about this site. Seeing the sheep & cows all day, seeing the stars at night, and hearing all the incredibly diverse wildlife out there was such a treat. If I was to leave one piece of feedback - the tent sites being on grass makes everything very damp in the mornings, and there were bugs a plenty on the outside of our tent in the morning. Making the sites dirt - at least for the tent site - might be nice!

What a beautiful little slice of paradise. The Swallow's Nest leads right to the edge of the water and is surrounded by praire land. We were grateful to be able to have a campfire this time of year and to sit and enjoy the sounds of birds, cows, and sheep.

I have stayed on this property 4 or 5 times now. This was my first time down at the tent sites. It was incredible. Very peaceful, lots of nature and birds. There were people at the other sites, but they are not close together and it still felt very private. Composting toilet or GREAT.

Such a lovely peaceful setting to camp at! We loved watching the birds and cows. The site is well equipped with picnic table and fire ring, water for washing dishes, and the toilet is clean and well kept. Will definitely come back and recommend the eggs and meat from the sweet farm shop!

Lovely evening out camping with lots of privacy and a chorus of birds surrounding us. Directions were easy to understand and we had no issues reaching the Farm Shop or entering the property itself. The firewood bundle was worth getting! Dusk and dawn were absolutely stunning while we were out there. We only live 25 min away so this was a perfect staycation for us and we plan on coming back when we just need a night out under the stars surrounded by the beautiful hills of West Marin.

We had a *beautiful* stay at Emily's & Guido's farm, I've stayed at dozens of HipCamps and cannot recommend this one highly enough. The property is so gorgeous, the hosts are so kind, the arrangements are so cozy, the sauna was an amazing treat. Was fun listening to the frogs at night! (But far enough away, was quite quiet). One note - we were easily able to cook on the stovetop (w/ pots and pans), but weren't able to get the oven working (maybe user error). We drove up from SF, the farm is near so much amazing nature and 3 mins from a delicious bakery. We will definitely be back, hopefully for a longer stay! My only worry is that this place will quickly book up - it's very special.

Guido’s camp is simply wonderful. It’s a small village on a farm in a paradisiacal place. The lights and the scents. The stars. The sun when you wake up. The sound of the wind. Guido’s kindness, his warm welcome, and the walks with him through the fields. The area where the camp is located, close to beautiful beaches. Everything is perfect, and we will return every time we pass through San Francisco.

The location itself was nice. But… Finding the spot was a challenge. We got right to the Farm Shop. (Note: don’t confuse his discussion about the farm stand with the farm shop. ) At the shop there was only a screen grab of a google map. I spent quite a few minutes trying to discern how to get from there to there and realized in the bottom corner was a N with an arrow pointing down. Rotate the image please so that the directions are what one expects. He provided written instructions which were much better, but the step of find the green gate was slightly meaningless at night. That gate has a large NO TRESPASSING sign, so we were hesitant to stop there. I was expecting (not unrealistically I think) a Hipcamp sign or something to give us confirmation that we wouldn’t be shot trying to enter. We were at the last spot and the road was bumpy and would absolutely have benefited with some smoothing or grading. I know it is a working farm, but a little more effort would go a long way. As it turns out, we only stayed one of our two nights because it just did not seem worth the effort to try to go there and set up again so we decided to drive home.
