We are a small farm in Silicon Valley. We are basically a petting zoo and kid-friendly destination! You can stay in our "Flying Pig" cabin (sleeps up to 5), or our "Room with a view of a Ewe" (sleeps 3)....or bring friends 'n' family - and reserve both :-) Please PLEASE read further for more information! and read again just before you come :-) The guest restroom (outside entry in the main house) is shared with other guests. I clean it every day, between every group or guest. We have bikes for kids, playhouses, playground, so many kid activities....and of course, animals galore!! You can feed or pet many of them. Relax, the place is yours! One mile away is Harvey Bear County Park, with trails for bikes, horses or walking. We are 5 minutes from the Gilroy Outlets, yet a world away from the hustle and bustle! Come, relax and enjoy nature! Enjoy Gilroy Gardens (seasonally) or go hiking at a nearby State or County Park. Or just relax at the Farm. We will make this a special day for you! Let us know if you are celebrating an event * CHECK-IN is after 4:00pm and please give us a 30 min heads-up before your arrival. CHECK OUT is 10am, unless previous arrangements have been made. Please be as specific as you can regarding your arrival time (so I can make the temp in there as comfortable as possible, turn on lights as needed, etc.) ** We are a "Bed and Breakfast"; most days we have other day-guests and events here, so please respect the arrival and check-out times. If you stay 2 nights, please be aware that you most likely won't have the whole farm to yourselves during the day. This is an animal farm. If you love new animal experiences, this is the place for you! If you are scared of or allergic to cats or dogs, this might not be the place for you! If you can't handle new smells and sounds, this might not be the place for you. You will feed and enjoy the animals; please respect their space, no chasing and no going into their enclosures. There is dirt, dust and various country critters. We love Country Life!! If you are adventurous and love animals and want a unique experience, come check us out! Restroom available in the main house (short walk from the cabin). Small fridge and microwave next to the restroom. There is no kitchen/oven/stove available. Gas Fire pit available ; there is no BBQ. We are exceptionally cautious with camp fires. If it is particularly hot and windy, there will be no fires. We now have a gas fire pit where you can create smores or just enjoy the campfire ambiance. Price is $175 for the Flying Pig (up to 5 total). Another option (as an add-on): you can pitch a tent for $45. "The Flying Pig" has a queen bed, bunk beds twin size, and a loft with a twin mattress, all bedding included. You are not just paying for a place to sleep; you are paying for an experience and the enjoyment of our property :-). We serve a continental breakfast (free) or hot breakfast ($35/cabin) between 8-9am. (we can accommodate vegetarian and dairy free diets; let us know before you come). We provide bedding and towels. There is A/C and a plug-in heater in The Flying Pig. Please do not bring additional things to plug in except for chargers for phone/electronic devices. We are approximately 1 1/2 hours south of San Francisco, 30 min south of San Jose (without traffic). Gilroy Gardens is 15 min away; Harvey Bear County park is 1 mile away; Monterey and Santa Cruz and the Pinnacles National Park are approximately 1 hour away. We recommend bringing dinner or eating before arrival to maximize your evening. Contact us for more info. If you want to celebrate a birthday and bring friends for the evening, there is an additional fee for parties. (Please contact us about this). The restroom is shared with other guests when you stay here;  we clean it every day, between every group or guest. We joined the Hipcamp family in 2017 and have enjoyed hosting guests so added this unit in 2022. Now it will be its own listing, with views of our "ewes"/sheep and goats, intended for 2 adults or a small family of 3. There is a double bed and a pull out twin size couch bed. It is a short walk to the bathroom. All bedding and towels included. There is a small heater and fan available,. The front deck is great for yoga or relaxing. You will share a half acre and the restroom with another Hipcamp cabin. A small breakfast is included. (You can add-on a hot breakfast for $35.) There is a fire pit available for an additional fee of $10, OR you can get the Smores kit as well as use of the fire pit for $20. New carpet in 2024. New playground in 2025. Toddlers, Animals, and S'mores

We had a lovely stay at Windsor Family Farm over the weekend, with two families, us and my in-laws, and our two toddlers. The kids had the time of their lives running around the open field, biking, playing in the mini kitchen house, and getting to pet and feed the sheep, alpacas, pigs, bunnies, chickens, and tortoise. The rooms were comfy, and we rented a separate cabin for the in-laws so everyone had their own privacy. Breakfast was fantastic and delicious, and for lunch and dinner we ordered from Morgan Hill and Gilroy, about a 15-minute drive away. The afternoons got a bit hot, but the nights were quiet and peaceful, we especially loved the bonfire and s'mores. Overall, we loved our stay and can't wait to come back in the fall!

Fun time with animals.

My friend and I celebrated my birthday with a night stay at the farm. It’s super cute and we got to pet lots of animals and help feed the goats, alpacas and sheep hay in the morning after a delicious hot breakfast made by Kim. We also got some fresh eggs to take home! There was AC in the flying pig cabin which was nice in the afternoon when it was still hot out. The pig Penelope was so cute and friendly!

The ultimate family experience

My 4 year old loved the stay and so did we! The cabin was cozy, warm, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable. There was much to explore and do. The highlight was feeding the animals. We got the s’mores and breakfast add on too and happy that we did. It was just an overall a really great family experience! Kim was really nice and responsive as well.

This was a lovely and fun place to stay for our family of four! Our kids were entertained the entire two days we were there between the trampoline, bikes, multiple playgrounds, and sandboxes. We felt safe and the space was clean even with the animals.

Kim is amazing! She welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home. The cabin was even better than the pictures—clean, cozy, with air conditioning and a very comfortable mattress. We got to feed and pet the animals, which was a highlight for the kids. There was a playground, trampoline, and plenty of bikes to keep them entertained. We enjoyed making s’mores in the evening, and in the morning Kim had a delicious breakfast prepared for us, which was included in the price. We also picked the most delicious apricots straight from her trees. Thank you, Kim, for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back! 😊

We had a wonderful time! The add-ons were worth it as Kim makes a great hot breakfast and sitting by the fire at night with s'mores was great fun. Also, my girls got the last bits of energy out before bed by using the trampoline and riding bikes on the property. The animals were so cute and the girls loved feeding and petting them. Kim is super nice and accommodating. The cabins were clean and organized. We wholeheartedly recommend!

Kim was a lovely host, accommodating but still giving us lots of privacy. We loved feeding animals, riding bikes and jumping on the trampoline then winding down by the fire afterwards. Cabin and bed were very cozy.

Kim is a wonder woman of a Host, extremely communicative and especially great with kids. She let our toddlers feed the sheep and goats, which was an instant highlight. We booked both cabins, giving our group the run of the small property, and spent the evening making s'mores over the firepit. For families with young kids, this place is a great fit: multiple structures to explore, mini kid chairs, swing sets, a trampoline and tons of bikes in every size. Kim made a delicious breakfast of french toast and eggs in the morning. Highly recommend for a quick getaway for kids.

We came back for our second visit and we all still loved the farm! My 4-year old had a blast playing in the sandboxes, swinging on the new play structure, and feeding the animals. My parents loved it, too. The little cottages are adorable and very comfortable, and the super soft bedding feels luxurious. The new portable toilet in the parking area is a super convenient addition! Get the hot breakfast!! Kim is an amazing cook and such a sweet, kind person. She really wants everyone to have a great time.

Kim and her farm provides an amazing little country getaway, not too far from the Bay Area. This was our second visit and our 7 year old girls loved it even more. The cabin is perfect for glamping, the bathrooms are clean and there is so much entertainment for the kids, they didn’t ask once for their iPad! Lol. We loved helping feed all the animals and help Kim collect eggs. Make sure you add on the breakfast option- it’s the perfect ending to your stay.

We stayed here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and it was such a special experience. The host was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. The hospitality was wonderful, and we absolutely loved the space. The breakfast was healthy and delicious, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We love this place so much! This was our second time. I highly recommend this place for anybody who feels the need to get away from the busy life. Kim, the camp host, is great with kids. Farm animals were fun to be around, and kids play whole day and night at the farm. They picked up fresh eggs in the morning. We also enjoyed s'mores and breakfast a lot! We are hoping to go back again soon!

A perfect getaway for the kids

I was looking for something off the beaten path for a getaway with my kiddo and Kim’s spot was perfect. Based on the reviews and photos, I thought it would be fun, but this was confirmed upon arrival. There are adorable animals, play structures, bikes and hidden nooks to explore. It’s a safe property so I felt okay letting my child explore while I brushed my teeth for example. It was just the right amount of rustic that we were looking for. My child loved the s’mores add-on as well as collecting eggs for the dozen that we purchased. It was also nice to have breakfast onsite so we could enjoy the sunrise, animals and calm of the mornings. Kim was a kind and gracious host who truly takes pride in her animals and her business. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great time. My two kids loved hanging out with the animals and feeding them and absolutely loved this unique experience. There's so many kids toys lying around and the trampoline was a hit with my 7 year old. The Cabin was clean, cozy, and very well put together. The attention to details was impressive. The breakfast was delicious and Kim was very flexible with our schedule. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay with kids

It was our third time to stay here. My kids love this place and begged me to come in their spring break. They enjoyed feeding animals, playing at the backyard and staying in the cozy cabin. We could pet the chicks and they were so fluffy! We also enjoyed the optional breakfast. The owner, Kim, is very kind and friendly. We’ll definitely come back again.

A Valentine's Day Success

Kim was a great host! We loved every moment of being there with the animals on her spacious property. Her hospitality and kindness was a delight and helped make the trip a success. We were able to see the stars and hear the animals throughout the night. We hope more people come spend time on the farm and help her out with feeding all the cute animals.

My son and I stayed at Kim’s family farm for one night and my son had a blast! There is so much to do for a toddler in Windsor family farm, multiple playgrounds, lots of tricycles, bikes and push cars! We will definitely go back

We had an amazing time! The kids (age 7 and 10) said it was 10 out of 10 - best farm they have ever been to. We all enjoyed the s'mores, breakfast, and the cabin was super comfortable for us all. There were a ton of things for the kids to do. They especially enjoyed feeding the animals and petting the bunnies. They left this morning want to go back already.

Kim is fantastic! Not only is the room, clean, cozy, and has everything I needed, but Kam is also a wonderful host that provides all of the comforts. My son enjoys the large backyard and animals to feed. Kim is very attentive and asks if you want to participate in the feeding. This is our second time back at the farm, and we already have another trip planned in the summer. This is the perfect getaway to get kids off their screens !

This was my family's second time visiting, this time with 1 year old twins, so it was a special and new kind of experience for all of us. It was their first time seeing farm animals and getting to feed them was of course the highlight. Kim makes everything so easy, we just showed up and had a great time! There is even a swing set that soothed one kid that was not so happy at one point. Hard to beat such an amenity when you need it! We really enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast and our campfire time with the smoores kit that we ordered as Extras. The gas powered fire pit couldn't be easier to operate, and there was room for two pack and plays in the cabin. It was toasty warm even mid Winter. 10/10, we will be back!

Hostess Kim has a large collection of children’s playground toys and critters galore. They all enjoyed our twin girls’ attentions. Nice fire ring and comfy cabin with an effective space heater. Then, in the AM you get a beautiful farm breakfast made by Kim. I highly recommend this experience, even in the rain.

Kim was an amazing host for our visit. My kids had a really great time playing with all of the different animals. My son's favorite was feeding the sheep. My daughter loved collecting eggs from the hens. The pictures don't do this place justice, it was a fantastic treat for all of us.

We had such a fun stay at the Room with a View of a Ewe! Kim the host was extremely welcoming and friendly - she showed us around the farm and we got to feed the chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, bunnies, and alpacas. It was a hit with our toddler. The cabin was comfortable and warm overnight, and the breakfast and s’mores kit were an added bonus. Thanks Kim!

This was our second time staying at Kim’s farm and it was just as fun this time around. Our 3 year old had been talking about it non stop since our last visit, so we came back. The animals are always fun, but it is Kim’s hospitality that always stands out the most. Couldn’t recommend more!
