Flyway Farm &amp; Forest

First time staying at a HipCamp and what a great experience! We were greeted upon arrival by Juniper the best behaved fluffy white dog who showed us where the humans wash up and cook food before directing us to our tent pad where we would reside for the week. Our hosts made sure we were comfortable the entire duration of our stay and had lots of interesting history tidbits to share. Our adventures for the week included hikes to Diana Lake (Pinnacle Meadows Lodge/Teahouse), Cobalt Lake in Bugaboo Provincial Park, Twin Lakes, Big Fish Lake, Cartwright Lake and several trips to Screamers Ice Cream in Radium. The wildlife was so active too, saw several bald eagles, swans, painted turtles, elk, whitetail deer, mule deer, blackbears, marmot, pika and weasels. Can’t wait to book next summers adventures and stay at FlyWay Farm!

Flyaway Farm and Forest is a beautiful spot to stay and is so close to so many adventures. We stayed in the little green trailer, which was perfect for my family of 3 to have a spot to rest our heads on our way to our next adventure. It was also very lovely to have an indoor spot to enjoy our coffee and chat with Patti and the other campers. We ran into a highway closure on our way and Bernie was very accommodating for us arriving later than expected and stayed in touch with us to make sure we knew where to go and had what we needed. Patti and Bernie have a wonderful set up and are amazing hosts. I would definitely recommend this camp spot.

Comfortable and scenic stay

We absolutely loved our stay at Flyway Farm & Forest! Beyond a cozy place to rest and regroup for the next day’s adventure, it was the people who made this experience truly special. We’ll miss having our morning coffee with Juniper, the great evening conversations around the fire pit, and the general warm and welcoming vibe. We will be back!

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at the farm and got so lucky to have the whole place to ourselves! Bernie and his wife are such a nice and accommodating couple. The only thing to note is that a train passes by at night, but overall, it was a wonderful experience, and it was still quiet for most of the time.

We stayed at the campsite for two nights and had a wonderful experience. Berry was an amazing host and welcoming, and always happy to help. We had access to a fully equipped kitchen, a clean bathroom, and laundry facilities, which made our camping trip so much more comfortable. The property is peaceful, surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We truly appreciated Berry's hospitality and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable camping experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The host where lovely, very welcoming and attentive (there little white dog juniper was definitely a fave).Even had the opportunity to share breakfast and coffee on our last day, making new friends is one of my favourite parts of travelling!! Not the most secluded tent site, nestled between two campers but still had a good amount of privacy. The tent site isn’t the largest, our two person tent fit well but definitely couldn’t bring out our larger family tent. Site is better suited for couples or small families.

Not very quiet but pleasant stay.

It was a pleasant stay for one night with a friendly and helpful host. The house is not yet renovated completely, but clean and the train nearby is quite frequently and loud. Nevertheless we enjoyed the stay and felt like being at a guest family.

Amazing hosts

After a long day of driving, this was a sight for sore eyes! Bernhard met us as we were parking and gave us a tour of the property, introduced us to a few of the guests and showed us our room. We felt welcome and safe during our stay and will definitely be back! *after our stay, the hosts went above and beyond to help locate and return a sentimental blanket we had left behind by mistake. You folks were lifesavers

Weekend at Bernie's

We loved camping here! It is a beautiful property, and Bernie, the host, was super gracious and welcoming. There is also a very cute and friendly best doggo ever named Juniper who liked to show us the way to our campsite every time she saw us heading that way. We were there to climb at the Spillimacheen crag and this property is the closest camping with a hot shower to the crag. It is just across the highway from the access road!

We had an amazing stay! The location is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. We even went on a 6-hour hike and loved coming back to a cozy, comfortable place to relax afterward. The trailer was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. It was the perfect getaway for anyone who enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors.
