We recently camped at ML Arena, specifically at the site with the pear trees, and had a fantastic time. What I loved most about this spot was the sheer amount of space and privacy it offered. It is a fully serviced site, though we didn’t end up needing the electric hookups during our stay. If you are looking for a true farm and ranch experience, this is the perfect place. It was amazing to see so many horses right on the property. The hosts were incredibly kind and wonderful, and they even took the time out of their day to show us around the farm. The only minor note is that there are off-leash dogs on the property. We were a little bit nervous walking around because of them. However, it is worth mentioning that the owners were with the dogs most of the time, and we never saw the dogs out when the owners weren't around. Overall, it was a peaceful, private stay with exceptionally welcoming hosts. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a spacious ranch setting!

Wow. What an incredible experience. Cathy is a phenomenal host, and the property is gorgeous. Our kids were over joyed with the horses and dogs and the adults were blown away by the landscapes, tranquility and privacy. Call ahead for the horse riding lessons! Cathy is an amazing teacher and the horses are perfect.

The whole place is very peaceful and beautifully maintained. The hosts were very pleasant and accommodating and made us feel welcome from the start. If you like being around dogs and horses, but not necessarily other campers, then this is probably the place for you.

The days we spent at ML Hipcamp were great; Cathy went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We stayed at the sites in the orchard and it was wonderful to wake up to the sound of birds and, of course, horses. Cathy just might have the best 'campground' shower I've ever used! I would definitely stay here again.

We had such a wonderful stay at Cathy and Todd’s place through Hipcamp. Cathy was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she even offered us great suggestions for local hikes and activities. Todd was also very friendly and helpful. Their property is beautiful, with a well-kept grassy area that’s perfect for camping, and being around the horses made the experience even more special. Everything felt comfortable, peaceful, and thoughtfully set up. We truly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable camping experience.

Great tent camping spot. This is one of the best hip camping tent sites we have stayed at. The tent camping area is very private and with soft grass. Water and electricity are about 100 ft away. Fantastic washroom is in the horse arena which is about a block and a half away from the tent site. Hostess was accommodating and friendly. The song birds were a bonus. This would be a marvelous place for those camping with their horses. Exceptional privacy and shade. Another bonus is that it is within relatively easy driving distance of a World Cultural Heritage Site: the Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump. (Much of this drive was on gravel roads but was easily traversed.). I would rate this Hipcamp site as a 12 on a 10-point scale. I would detour to camp here again!

We spent unforgettable time here! The campsite has everything you need - private space in a beautiful place, electricity, water, washroom access, kind people around. My daughter is excited about the horse riding lesson she took. So many things to do and places to visit in this area - Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village, Lundbreck Falls, Oldman Dam. I would recommend this place for families seeking adventures during the days and quiet nature with campfire at night. Cathy is a very welcoming host!

Could not recommend enough!! This was not only a great place to stay but a fantastic experience!! Cathy was absolutely brilliant and so friendly! She let us watch a western lesson and explained about western riding! The dogs were super friendly and we had the bonus of meeting the new foal! The pitch was beautiful and the toilet and shower were clean!

This was a perfect stop on our way through the area with our motor home. Cathy and Todd were great hosts, and so friendly! They invited us in, and gave us some great tips and info on the area. We also learned about their horses and Cathy’s training business. It was so fun and interesting since we know nothing about it. I would highly recommend this stop to anyone looking for accommodations in the area.

Perfect place to relax

I loved every minute of my stay in the orchard! Cathy's place is such a beautiful oasis surrounded by peaceful hills. The orchard has beautiful trees and is sheltered by hedges. There are benches and tables to use and lots of space. I got a warm welcome on arrival and a tour so I know where everything is. She has two adorable dogs. I loved having the chance to get to know Cathy and her husband a little - great people! And best of all, I got some special time with Cathy's horses! The place is remote enough that you can truly relax and recharge, yet easy to get to. If you want to explore, there is Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump not too far, and hiking in the surrounding hills. I definitely recommend staying at Cathy's, and hope to be back sometime myself!

Sweet Spot!

Cathy couldn't have been more welcoming, and before we knew it our seven year old daughter was riding a horse in Cathy's arena. The property is a haven of trees and good vibes in a land of plains and fields and windmills. We we had no expectations, but were delighted by the coziness and protected feeling of the place, not to mention the extensive amenities (grills, tables, water, toys for the kids etc) and the fact that there are beautiful horses around to pet. More practically, for us and our trip plans, it was a great stopover to break up the drive between Glacier and Banff.

The site was beautiful! There was a large crabapple tree to put our tent under for shade and protection from the weather. Cathy had such an amazing setup with a picnic table, swing, and even a little patio table. Cathy and her husband welcomed us kindly into their home! Thank you for the amazing stay, we had a blast and will definitely be coming back!
