John is a great host! Communicative. The listing is very accurate. The pull-in and set up was a breeze. The place is beautiful! Quiet for being amongst neighbors. The canal dock was where we spent most of our time. Caught red fish, drum, and a few crabs with a crab trap. Would love to come back again!

John’s place was a wonderful getaway. We had a fantastic stay on the canal. The property is gated and our dog really enjoyed the space to run around. Fishing from the deck was a highlight, and the kayaks provided a great way to explore the water. The space was clean and comfortable, with beautiful views. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can't wait to return!

Awesome place right next to the beach. Plenty of space to stretch out. Have to watch out for the sand burrs here and there but you'll have that with sandy areas. Very peaceful and just the stay we were looking for!

Overall this was a great place to camp out. The sunrise and sunsets are beautiful. Having full hook ups for our popup camper was nice too.
It was very peaceful, plus you’re super close to the water. The only thing that this spot is missing is a dedicated fishing pier. Fish is not bad from the pad. We managed one catch, but a fishing pier would be an absolute game changer! Overall I would definitely recommend this spot! Thank you letting me and my family enjoy your property sir!

We had a great time at Titus’ waterfront lot! The setting is great (right on Copano Bay) and the utilities are all in place for a super simple and relaxing time. The check in instructions were very clear and Titus was a great communicator. I would recommend booking this private waterfront lot and we would certainly consider coming back.

This was an amazing place - secluded, peaceful, and beautiful. I fed the turtles and fish in the creek a few yards away. Skull Tree was magical. I had to leave early for a personal emergency, but I'll definitely return. Hope you get to enjoy it!

We had a great time! Lots of space at Coyote Corner for a large group and Skull Tree is a pretty cool more intimate spot with a lot of shade. There was a nice peaceful spot to sit overlooking the creek. Outhouse was solid and had a solid toilet to sit on, very clean. It was nice seeing the cows up close and our dogs had a blast out there. Alana was a five star host and went above and beyond to take care of our needs. We look forward to booking there again soon.

We were pleased with our weekend stay. The neighbors are close but not a bother to us, in fact we only had seen them out on one occasion. We loved the convenience of having everything close by to us. The owner was available to answer some quick questions we had and that’s always a plus in our book! All hookups work well. We will stay here again in the future. I give this little spot a 4 out of 5 stars!

Was a great experience at the skull tree. Loved how many butterflies were around and the creek was nearby. Such a secluded site which id exactly what I wanted. The outhouse was also very convenient. Only issue I had was some noisy neighbors at the coyote corner that were playing loud music until 2ish in the morning.

About
When you feel the gulf breezes, you know you've made it to Goose Island. Nestled near St. Charles and Aransas Bays, this Texas state park is all about the water. We're talking boating, kayaking, fishing, and birdwatching along the coast. The only thing you can't do is swim. (Sorry.)
That said, there's plenty of luck to be had on the 1,620-foot fishing pier. A boat launch and kayak/canoe launch are also available. Remember to bring your own boat! No stay is complete without visiting the main attraction—a 1,000-year-old oak lovingly dubbed The Big Tree. (Don't worry, it's still standing strong in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.)
The campgrounds include 44 bay-front sites and 57 shaded oak sites. Bonus: both camping loops feature restrooms with showers. You can also choose from 25 rustic walk-in sites and a group camping area. Just be sure to check with Texas Parks and Wildlife before you travel. Closures due to hurricane damage are a bummer, but they happen.

- Bayfront Campsites: Wake up to serene water views at one of the 44 campsites along the bay, complete with water and electricity.
- Oak Grove Camping: Nestle your tent or RV under the shelter of live oaks in one of the 57 sites offering shade and modern conveniences.

- Book early, especially if you plan to visit during the busy seasons from Memorial Day to Labor Day, October to Thanksgiving, or January through April.

- Explore nearby camping options if Goose Island State Park reaches capacity, ensuring you don't miss out on the area's allure.
When to go
The best times to visit Goose Island State Park are during the milder seasons, from October to April, when the Texas heat is less intense. Summer months bring higher temperatures and larger crowds. Keep in mind, the wettest months are August through October, which could impact outdoor activities.
Know before you go
- Check the park's capacity before visiting; reservations are highly recommended to guarantee entry.
- Remember, fishing from shore or pier in a Texas state park does not require a license, so feel free to cast a line.

Beautiful south Texas coastal campground. Has showers and restrooms. We tent camped in a space with light and water. Did some fishing during the day. Nice hiking trails to keep you active with friends and kids. We really enjoyed our stay. Nice secluded spots.

We enjoyed camping here... although we came in August and it was HOT. Would definitely not recommend tent camping in the dead of Texas summer. :) These sites don't have beach access, although you can visit the beach by driving a short 5-10 minutes. The sites are great and you can feel the breeze off the water which is a nice reprieve from the heat. Rockport is a great town!
