Learn more about this land: Come and camp on beautiful Eagle Lake with approximately 120' frontage facing North. The campsites are only steps away from the water’s edge where you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Swimming, fishing and a playground are just across the road. The sites have a raised fire pit to cook your meals and a picnic table for enjoying them. We can provide firewood for $12 a bag, just ask!  These medium sites can accommodate two tents or a small camper with a total of four people. There is a shared outhouse, with flush toilets at the park across the road. Each site has water and electricity, and you can also find a WIFI signal nearby.  Eagle Lake Narrows Country Store is on the same three acre property. There you can rent boat, canoe, kayak, SUP and bicycles. Right across the road is a public beach, perfect for a relaxing day with family or friends. The public beach also is equipped with handy amenities like bathrooms, change rooms, fishing docks, and extra parking.  Eagle Lake is approximately 3 hours from Toronto, just over 4 hours from Ottawa, and less than an hour to Huntsville. It is very close to Algonquin Park.

Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.  The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and can explore the great hiking, nature viewing, atv trails and boating in the summer months. In the winter enjoy glaming in the propane heated bunkie, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow machine trails at the door. Wildlife is all around.  Several lakes and parks are nearby, including Mikisew Provincial Park on Eagle Lake, about 20 km south, where you can go boating, paddling, or swimming and Algonquin Provincial Park is close as well with many lakes and hiking trails. Some restaurants and stores can be found in the South River, about 20 km away.

Paddling distance to 2 other lakes that feed into Wendigo lake. very quiet, private place, stress free, excellent for relaxing, great place for staging daytrips, safe if you want to do a few days in Algonquin Park. dogs and pets welcome, but must be leashed on the property. I have a friendly dog Penny. the sunsets here are awesome, see pics Located only 12 kms from West entrance to Algonquin Park. Dark skies and fairly open area for stargazing. Many walking trails close by . ATV trails and tours nearby also. Bird migration route, excellent for bird watching. In my 10 yrs here I have seen 97 different species of birds on the property or flying over. Very private, closest neighbor 3/4 km away. Bring your own camp toilet please.

Cranberry Camp is located 7 kms past the village of Pointe au Baril. It’s surrounded by Ontario native forest (the “bush”) and wetlands in the hinterlands of Georgian Bay. We are 3kms from Sturgeon bay Provincial Park (a nice beach!) and 3kms from the Bayfield Inlet public launch on Georgian Bay (visit the iconic pink rocks and windswept trees of Georgian Bay). We came to this area because of the fresh air and clean water. Visitors to the area should be aware that you cannot see any of the Georgian Bay coastline from the highway or roads. We highly recommend you get out on the water in a boat of some kind (there is water access near here for canoes, kayaks and other boats). This secondary highway (ON 529) is fairly quiet and decent for cycling. It's very quiet north of the ON 529A turn-off! We also recommend that visitors go to the French River Provincial Park to understand the unique history and culture of the area. That park is 35-40 min north from here and has a lovely small museum/interpretive centre and a footbridge over the French River. Cranberry Camp also has a small house, a guest lodge for retreats (we host healthy living and healthy building workshops), 2 lovely and private recreational vehicles (a 24’ Jayco & a 27’ Cougar) as well as a tiny home. All spaces are scent-free, low VOC and no WiFi. We help people create healthy homes and buildings. Hipcamp sites are accessed from hard-packed dirt/gravel driveway either perpendicular or parallel to the road. An outhouse contains a composting toilet (using the Humanure system), a solar light and jug of water for handwashing. We love to host people getting away from the city or taking exploratory road trips.

Trails throughout the property as well. Trailer conversion so you can camp in comfort. I provide a clean mattress pad for each visitor, but no bed linens or pillows. If you need a towel let me know. The Glamper is situated between two BnB’ cabins but is private with views (no one can see each other) but trails, field, and parking are shared. Owner lives on site as well. There is no A/C. Wifi is available if you walk 30 yards towards it, and depending on your carrier, there may be no cell or data service at all.

Everything about this place was perfect for us! It was easy to find, private and clean. Our site was right on the water with a fire pit and a picnic table. The outhouse was impeccably cleaned and close to our site. We had access to kayaks and a canoe however, we didn't end up having time to use them. Hayley was extremely responsive and friendly. We definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area!

Lisa's property was amazing! Lots of room, beautiful view of everything. Saw deer every day! Loved the outhouse, we are used to privies at Algonquin but the outhouse was way better - especially with the rain we had. She was great with communication and even checked to make sure we were ok after a big gusty windy rainy period of time. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much Lisa.

This was one of our favourite Hipcamps. The lake was busier than we are used to but it was a long weekend so totally expected. We appreciated the private feel of the campsite being nestled in our little corner and we customized the site with tarp shelters and a hammock to lay about in the afternoons. The night sky was gorgeous with the moon and the sound of waves to keep us company. One should keep in mind that there are elevation changes at the site that could prove challenging for some. I was able to portage our canoe down to the water and back up to our vehicle but the pitch through the trees and down to the beach could prove tricky. Overall, we liked the secluded, civilized-rustic feel of the space: not Crown Land but sounds of the forest gave it a wild feel.
