Our boondocking site is located in the middle of one of our private open fields. THIS SITE DOES NOT HAVE A WASHROOM. It is perfect for guests travelling in a self contained travel vehicle. THIS SITE DOES NOT HAVE A WASHROOM. Tent camping is also welcome in this field, but guests need to bring their own portable camping toilets as we do not allow the digging of "cat holes". The land is well maintained and the site was thoughtfully chosen, but the wildlife doesn’t know that! You can expect to witness deer sightings, rabbits, a variety of birds, and if you’re quiet and lucky, so much more! NOTE REGARDING CAMPSITES: In the past, we did have a number of campsites located in the woods (as pictured in many of our past guest photos), however, due to unforeseen circumstances, we regrettably had to close them down. This is a very private little slice of heaven that I've been pleased to steward for over 25 years. If you love the sound of frogs singing, and bullfrogs plucking their banjo strings, red-winged blackbirds trilling, you will love it here. The property is literally right across the road from the Mono Cliffs Provincial Park which boasts amazing trails, views and features the Niagara Escarpment. The 4-acre pond/wetland is designated 'Provincially Significant' by the Ministry of Natural Resources and is an important part of the Nottawasaga Watershed. This area is renowned for its terrain - the fields are rolling and the views are quite special. You will enjoy a private firepit and private overlook at the pond with hammock. The site isn't visible from the road. Our house is visible from the site but far enough away as to not disturb one another. We have an outhouse with lighting that will make your stay comfortable.

Welcome to our Hipcamp. We offer a unique camping experience on our 75-acre farm located in the Kawartha Lakes near the village of Woodville. Be sure to visit the local area, we are within a 15 minute drive of several restaurants, grocery store and the LCBO. The Kirkfield Lift Lock, Fenelon Falls, Balsam Lake Provincial Park and Lindsay are all within a 30 minute drive. There are miles of paved country roads and bike paths to explore the area. Enjoy your evening sitting around a campfire telling stories or listening to the tree frogs. The dark night sky is ideal for star gazing. Farm fresh produce is available for purchase in season as well as small batch maple syrup from our own trees. Please Note: We are in an active farming area so expect the sounds and smells that go along with being in the country. Local country road traffic can be heard at times. There are no bathroom facilities available. Dogs are welcome but they must be always on leash as we have a cat, chickens and wildlife that roam the property. We also ask that you clean up after your pet. Campfires are permitted unless there is a ban in effect. We have seasonal insects we recommend you arrive prepared. CAMP SITE The campsite is located on a lot nestled in trees approximately 1 hour from Toronto. LAKE Canal Lake is a lake of Ontario, Canada, situated in the City of Kawartha Lakes. HISTORIC MONUMENTS The "Hole in the Wall" bridge was built in 1905 and is also known as the Canal Lake Concrete Arch Bridge. It was designed by the federal Department of Railways and Canals. It is located on Centennial Park Road on the southwest side of the Trent Severn Waterway bridge, northeast of Bolsover. The bridge was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1988. FISHING Canal Lake is a medium size lake with a large diversity of fishing spots. There is a variety of fish available including largemouth bass, pike and muskellunge (muskie) and an abundance of panfish. EATS AND TREATS • Bolsover is home to the Western Trent Golf Club • Check out Bexley Golf Centre just west of Coboconk & Balsam Lake Provincial Park. They are a Butter Tart Tour stop! •  And we all know how delicious Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream is in the summer sun!

We spent 3 nights at Willowjays and it was the perfect base camp for our trip! The site is incredibly secluded, giving us all the privacy and peace we were looking for. Despite feeling so private, it was very easy to access and get our gear in and out. The farm views are gorgeous, and Renee was a wonderful, accommodating host. Highly recommend this spot if you need a quiet, convenient home base to explore the area!

Beautiful property with a few different spots to setup. We were just there for Springtide Music Fest so we were basically there to sleep at the end of the long music days. Great proximity to downtown. A more extended stay with No outhouse/water access wouldn’t be ideal but for our quick trip it worked perfect. Bob was very responsive and his son was helpful during our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. 10/10 would recommend

I've stayed at Tranquil Ten a few times now as it's close to work and I commute a long distance. The land is expansive, secluded and very pastoral. Surrounded by trees and nature, it rivals a provincial park experience. Bob and Trish are lovely and very thoughtful hosts. On my most recent stay, they left a fire box with wood for me to enjoy a warm fire on a cool evening. It was an awesome experience. I look forward to more stays at Tranquil Ten.

I had a lovely stay! Renee was kind (even though I mistook her for another camper!) and understanding, and the place was exactly what I was looking for for this visit: quiet and all to myself! The washrooms were clean and spacious, the crickets and birdsong and crackling fire were the only company I needed. I would absolutely return for another visit.
