Loved this campsite. Totally secluded and private, surrounded by thick trees and foliage. You drive quite a distance across the owner's land to reach it, which for me was a huge plus—you get complete privacy and quiet.
When I arrived, one of the owners came by and brought 10 litres of water, which turned out to be extremely useful. I thought I'd packed enough but I was clearly wrong and ended up needing it. They were welcoming, kind, and helpful in providing areas to check out. I felt safe knowing I could reach out if I needed something, yet far enough from the world that I could ease into the quiet.
In the morning, you can faintly hear the roosters crowing in the distance. At night, the stars and fireflies come out. I'll definitely be back.

Lovely quiet little spot all the way at the back of the property, surrounded by trees. Not another living soul in sight. Fresh eggs were delicious. Very welcoming hosts. Excellent communication

We had an amazing time! The place was super clean, beautiful, and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay — thank you so much to Sara and her husband
Quiet spot with 100% privacy
You only hear farm animals during the day (horse, pot-bellied pigs, chickens) and some wildlife at night.
A short bike ride to the TC Trail system that lead me on a 14 kms ride to Peterborough especially made this a great spot to camp.
Sara kindly provided firewood at the fire pit and delicious well water was appreciated.
A truly recommended place to camp and unwind after a days travel!
Great place to sleep for the night. Sara was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Would go back if in the area again.
The pigs were also friendly!

We had a great time camping for 3 days. There is plenty of space, and lots to do nearby. We loved seeing the pigs each time we came and went from our site. The hosts were super friendly, and always making sure that we had everything we needed each day that we stayed. I’m sure we will be back!! :)
Loved our stay! It was such a private campsite which is exactly what we are looking for when camping. Plus it’s set back from the roads so there is no noise except for the birds chirping. Sarah was a lovely host and ensured we had everything we needed and replied quickly to every question.
My Human & I (woof!) got the chance to spend another night bikepacking under the stars at this green spot close to the amazing Doube’s Trestle Bridge. Sara and her family went far & beyond to accommodate us during the long weekend after we got a last minute cancelation. They even created a camping spot basically from scratch covering all “our needs”: a place for our bike & tent, fire pit & wood, a chair and an the infinite open sky above 🤗 Can’t thank them enough for their efforts. Morning after was even better having the chance to meet the sweet family and top up our minimum water reserves.
Don’t doubt to visit them if you need a place in the wild around Lindsay or Peterborough! Meet other smiley & happy Himpcampers that confirmed our good impressions.
And I loved to bark to the pigs even if they are 200 pounds more than me! 🦊

We loved our stay! Sara and Evan were very lovely and accommodating. Their property was beautiful. Our site was secluded. We watched some awesome sunsets. The stars and fireflies at night were magical. We got to meet Rocky & Rambo their pigs - who loved apples! Got some fresh eggs from their chickens. And it was a short drive to Omemee for groceries, supplies, a little beach, etc. And, to Emily provincial park.
The host was extremely friendly and easy to talk with. I brought my 6 and 3 year old boys and they were kind to them.
The campsite was secluded and well maintained.
The host brought us back to the site and made sure everything was all good and didn't require anything. They offered further help if required.

Lovely secluded basic campsite as described. Arrive at check-in as it takes time to get to back of property - but well worth it! Hosts are awesome. We're planning to be back.

We had a fantastic stay at this private, peaceful campsite tucked away in a 10-acre forest. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and made sure we were well set up for our stay. Though the drive to the site is a bit rugged, our small car made it just fine. The campsite offers plenty of space and privacy, perfect for getting away from it all. Our trip almost took a turn when I crashed my drone into a tree, but our amazing host quickly came to the rescue, climbing up to retrieve it—an absolute lifesaver! We also enjoyed feeding apples to Rambo the pig, which added a fun touch to our stay. Highly recommend staying with this wonderful couple!
Sarah’s camping spot is beautiful. Secluded forest, well maintained, and the hosts are wonderful. Very kind, communicative especially considering we were only able to get to the spot close to 9pm. Will be staying here more often!

The camp site was in a truly beautiful location and very private with rolling grassland surrounded by woodlands, and the fresh farm eggs were delicious. Our hosts were delightful and very helpful as well. We will definitely try to visit again in the future. Many thanks!

I love the seclusion of this space. being surrounded by trees and sky, space to stretch legs and go for a walk. It was a perfect retreat away. I was grateful for clear directions, great communication and the little touches of care. The days and evenings had beautiful sky views. hope to come back😌😌😌

We absolutely loved camping at this site. The peace and quiet was exactly what we were looking for. Communication with Sara was excellent and she thoughtfully offered to help us out if we had forgotten anything. We bought some eggs and enjoyed them at every meal. I would highly recommend staying here!
