Beautiful waterfront views from almost every site. We visited in early October so the campground wasn’t very crowded. Electric, water, fire ring and nice picnic table at our site. Older bathhouse with shower that was well maintained and clean. Would recommend staying here.

My husband and I loved using our pop-up camper here! The sound and view of the ocean with forest on either side - whimsical. Lots of wildlife around (birds, weasel, hare - probably more we didn't see in the dark!) A lovely location with necessities nearby, a kind host - we will be back for sure!

This was a fantastic little stay, local and family run, with a beautiful location. 10/10 would recommend, if we’re ever in the area again we will be back. Beautiful little gem!

A stunning real life sunset, resembling a Bob Ross still life painting, looking out toward Mink and Indian Islands.

If you look closely you can see a heron on fishing on the point.

Such a great place to stay. Jeffery and Tracey really thought of everything. We made the best meals in the outdoor kitchen, took in the full panoramic view from the deck and even got to take a shower! This place is perfect for someone who wants to have time away from the hustle and bustle but also have a few luxuries (The best one being the bathroom haha). Such a nice family too and you can tell they had fun building everything and are excited to add even more. Thanks for everything!

Weekend Trip to Wild Islands Camping by the Sea

From the moment we arrived at Chris’s land we felt very welcomed. Chris was onsite to greet us and show us the camping area. The camp is a work in progress so no high-tech fancy camping facilities, but if your aim is to lay back, relax and leave the daily grind behind this is your place. The campsites are along the shore and at low tide a great walk. Our site enjoyed a beautiful sunrise and after a full day of exploring the area we took our camp chairs to the shoreline to watch the magnificent sunset over the water. The camp is 30 mins from groceries and gas. Chris allows dogs to roam off leash and our pup loved the freedom. Chris and his mom Gail check in with you daily to talk and answer your questions and they go out if their way to help make your stay comfortable. We booked for one night and immediately booked a second night. We ended up spending 5 nights. Thank you Chris and Gail Patricia, Tim and Luna

The point of the point is the view, as there is no cell service [though they do hope to remedy that issue], and no washrooms. That said Chris and his mother were wonderful and hospitable. The view is jaw dropping, and that alone is worth the stay. Also an amazing place to get away from everything.

Been doing camping for almost 10 years and sleep by the sea campsite by far one of the best campsite I've ever been. If there is 5star hotel, there is a 5 star campsite as well and sleep by the sea campsite is one of them. Jeffrey and his whole family is very welcoming and thorough in explaining all the amenities in the campsite. I strongly recommend this place 💯

My grandfather grew up on the farm next door which is still family-owned. In 1947 he married my grandmother and bought the adjacent Higgins property. As the 3rd generation of my family to be lucky enough to enjoy this private oasis, I am happy to be able to share the breathtaking sunsets that I enjoy every day. Bordering one of the largest dairy farms in Nova Scotia, rural sights and sounds give you a real downhome feel.
