Please note there is no sani-dump or bathroom, so your RV must be fully self-contained. This is a simple homestead RV stay rather than a full-service campground. Our property is a small working homestead and farm stay with a large garden, chickens, rabbits, and a seasonal farm stand where we sell herbal teas, artisan jams and jellies, and farm-fresh goods grown and made right here on the property. Guests are welcome to walk through the garden, visit the animals, and shop at the farm stand during open hours. If you are looking for a convenient location to stay while exploring the Comox Valley and enjoy a casual small farm setting, this is a great spot to park and stay for a few nights. In addition to the RV stay, we also host Wild Edible Plant Walks, garden tours, and seasonal herbal workshops on the property and around the Comox Valley. These are separate bookable experiences that Hipcamp guests are welcome to join if dates align with their stay. Please inquire when booking if you are interested in adding a plant walk or workshop to your visit. The Comox Valley is made up of the City of Courtenay, the Town of Comox, the Village of Cumberland, and the surrounding communities of Royston, Union Bay, Fanny Bay, Black Creek, Merville, Denman Island, and Hornby Island. The Courtenay Riverway Heritage Walk is right across the road and runs along the ocean, through forested areas, around the Courtenay Airpark, and along the Courtenay River, connecting all the way to our downtown core and Simms Park. From our farm stand to Simms Park is just over a one-hour walk or about a 20-minute bike ride. We look forward to sharing our small homestead and the beautiful Comox Valley with you.

Nestle into our walk-in private 'Pond Cabin' located on our 40 acre Regenerative mixed farm on beautiful Quadra Island. This idyllic 160 square foot, wood stove heated cabin overlooks the largest pond on our property. The private site boasts a glorious on-demand hot water outdoor shower and covered outdoor kitchen. The Cabin has a double futon bed. Extra mattresses for kids can be brought to the cabin which can then sleep 4. Walk beside our grazing sheep, goats and chickens and visit our forest raised pigs on your way to the cabin. As Foot Forward is a Permaculture inspired Regenerative farm, no fossil fuels are used in pasture/grounds maintenance. Sheep and goats are used to graze all of the grass including the grass around the pond and cabin. Farm fresh eggs, and a variety of other products from the farm are available including (assuming they aren't sold out) our famous sausages. Solar power provides you with all the lighting, shower-water pressure and technology charging you will need for your stay. There is no refrigeration onsite at the moment but access to a farm fridge can be arranged. Quadra Island was recently rated by Forbes Magazine as #5 of its most up and coming travel locations in the world. Perhaps it was because of its natural beauty or the fact that it is a nearly mosquito free outdoor paradise. Quadra is the largest island in the Salish Sea. Endless recreational opportunities abound on the island. Hundreds of kilometres of hiking and mountain biking trails crisscross the island. Several guiding companies provide access to the world class kayaking and scuba diving off of Quadra's shores. Do all that... or simply grab a book and curl up beside the pond or read a book in the hammock. *** Winter Comment*** The cabin is winterized. The stove is actually to hot for the size of the cabin. It requires a little practice timing your fire and opening windows to keep it at the best temperature. Since we are all 'Hip" here... it just adds to the adventure. :) Oh yeah... bring boots. :) About once a year a rainstorm intense enough to overflow the stream you need to cross to the cabin overflows. In that case it is a bit of challenge getting there.

MorningStar Woollen farm

17. MorningStar Woollen farm

62km from Strathcona-Westmin Provincial Park · 1 site
Retreat to a quiet, living landscape where land, fibre, and story are woven together. Set against expansive valley views, three ecologically sensitive bell tents rest on cedar platforms within a regenerating ecosystem. This is MorningStar Woollen—a working regenerative sheep and flower farm where textiles, beauty, and land stewardship are practiced as one. This is not just a stay, but a slower way of being. The 10-acre camping area invites gentle exploration. A self-guided walking trail winds through the land, with thoughtfully placed plaques sharing the story of restoration, fibre, and regenerative practice. Along the way, observe rotational grazing as it shapes the landscape—an ever-changing pattern of movement, growth, and renewal. Here, the process behind cloth begins in place: in soil, in pasture, in the care of animals, and in the rhythms of the seasons. All sites are walk-in only, preserving the quiet and integrity of the land. Guests are asked to remain within marked areas to support ongoing regeneration. Each tent is intentionally and comfortably appointed for the 2026 season, while remaining fully off-grid. Please bring your own drinking water and come prepared for a more mindful, unplugged experience. The land is shared with wildlife—bears, cougars, elk, deer, and many others. A secure sea can is provided for storing all food and scented items. For those wishing to deepen their understanding, guided farm walks are offered Saturdays at 4pm, offering a closer look at the working systems behind the landscape. To ensure the safety of guests, livestock, and working animals: – No fires – No pets (livestock guardian dogs are on site) – Do not climb or touch fences – Do not feed or pet animals Rooted in reciprocity, this is a place of making and unmaking—where only what is offered is gathered, and care is returned through attention, respect, and craft. Come to rest, to observe, to sketch, to write, to imagine. To reconnect with the origins of material, and the quiet beauty of process.

Nice open clearing over looking a wetland. It's a short walk away from the small parking spot on the road. Walk across across a pedestrian bridge over a creek and into the open sky area fringing the wilderness. It gets a lot of sun in the evenings and is home to lots of wildlife. There is room for 3 or4 tents in the area. There is a compost toilet outhouse. Its' a short walk to the dock and ocean and right by the newton lake trail head. This spot is great for sun and star bathing and cooling off in the creek. It's a salmon bearing creek, every October they swim up it to spawn. It's a pretty special place far away from civilization. There is no cell service, or electricity and creek water should be treated before drinking.

Welcome to our half-acre homestead in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. We are conveniently located along the main highway, making our property a great basecamp for exploring everything the Comox Valley has to offer — including walking trails, beaches, rivers, lakes, hiking trails, and Mount Washington Alpine Resort, all within a short drive or bike ride. Many trails and outdoor areas are close by and easy to access from our property. We offer a simple RV parking spot for fully self-contained RVs with access to electricity and water if needed.

Escape to Quadra Island, away from crowds. Enjoy endless vistas and exclusive access to the calming embrace of the ocean and a short drive to pristine lakes, with nearby deer and human-made trails guiding you through untouched beauty. Experience the charm of a free-range farm where our feathered friends eagerly interact with guests. Committed to a serene atmosphere, our property is alcohol, drug, smoking, vaping, and nudity-free. In addition across of the yurt we offer an RV pad. Please note: We are located in a truly natural setting, where the forest is alive and thriving. Bugs and mosquitoes are not sprayed, and creatures like mice and harmless, non-poisonous snakes are simply part of the forest’s circle of life. Very occasionally, nature might find its way into the yurt—it is, after all, a well-equipped and cozy “luxury tent.” We do our best to keep curious visitors outside, but staying here is very much an immersive nature experience.
