About
This part of the South Cariboo is known as the Land of Hidden Waters for all the lakes with excellent fishing. Bridge Lake Provincial Park’s trails run near its campgrounds and are prime for horse riding, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, boating, and swimming, while winter activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ice-fishing. Bridge Lake has one rustic campground with limited services that include a boat launch, pit toilets, and picnic tables. The campground has 13 drive-in sites and three tent sites. Bridge Lake Provincial Park is the traditional territory of the Ts’qescen people and was once part of the historic Fur Brigade Trail.

When to go
Bridge Lake Provincial Park is open for camping year-round, but most campers come for the summer season. Mosquitos can be an irritant in the early summer but ease off as fall approaches.
Know before you go
- Bridge Lake water is not safe to drink due to arsenic concerns.
- Campers should be fairly self-sufficient. Basic supplies can be found about two kilometres away at the Bridge Lake General Store.
- Additional camping can be found at nearby Green Lake Provincial Park, Crystal Lake Recreation Site, and Phinetta Lake Recreation Site.
