    Nature’s Harmony is an all-season destination nestled in a remote wilderness setting overlooking the Laurentian Mountains. There are 500 acres of lush forest, woven through a creek, bay, lake, 'Little Mountain', and countless trails. We have a multitude of accommodation types to serve a variety of groups and needs, including a cabin, chalet, yurts, domes, glamping and camping. The abundant forest and off-grid accommodations allow our guests to disconnect and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Guests also have the option to explore and relish in outdoor activities such as hiking, trail running, biking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, SUPing, water and snow tubing, snowshoeing, and back-country skiing. We invite our guests to embrace sustainable living by using our eco showers and compost toilets. We are also grateful to be a location host of many retreats, events and gatherings, as well as host our very own trail race, Run Off The Grid.

    More than an accommodation - we are a destination! Situated on a 500-acre property overlooking the Laurentian Mountains with multiple water access options. We provide the opportunity to disconnect in order to reconnect! Slow down to enjoy life's simple pleasures or fuel your energetic self with an abundance of onsite outdoor activities for every season. Experience an off-grid lifestyle in warmth and comfort. We welcome you to come experience the true magic of staying in a geodesic dome. The Little Dipper Dome is nestled within a wilderness landscape, overlooking Bang's Creek, adding a serene sound and water element. Situated under the stars, far away from any light pollution - guests can open up into the vastness and beauty of the night sky. The dome is self-sufficient and set up for all your basic needs, including: cooking, cleaning and serving. All you should need is a cooler with your food. For cooking, there is an indoor propane double burner, a BBQ and an outdoor fire pit. All kitchen necessities are provided. There is no running water – however, large jugs of water from the onsite natural spring are provided. For heating, there is a woodstove inside to maintain a warm and cozy temperature. Wood for indoor heating is included with your stay. There is no electricity in this off-grid setting - however, natural lighting is captured from the large Bay window and the 'tunnel' at the top of the dome. A USB powered lightbulb and power bank is provided for additional lighting at night time. Please note that there is no wifi or cell service at the dome, which has become a selling feature for our destination as guests are looking to disconnect. If you 'must' connect, there is one place on the property to tap into service or there is full service a quick drive down the road. The Town of Mattawa is also a 15-minute drive away. The bathroom is situated close by as a shared outhouse with our Big Dipper Dome. Construction of a private outhouse will be underway very soon. During the warmer seasons, there is a screened in gazebo with a full outdoor kitchen set up and two hammocks to relax and lounge in. The road to the dome is maintained in all seasons. Guests can drive and park next to the dome. As we are situated on a large property, guests can walk, bike or drive to various activity access points on the property. Now for the fun and adventure - guests can experience a variety of onsite outdoor activities for every season right from your door step! In the spring, summer and fall, explore our extensive trail system with over 25+km's of trails of varying lengths, levels of difficulty and some incredible viewpoints. Looking to enjoy the water? Guests can enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddling or floating in a tube on the beautiful Bang’s Bay, which connects to the Ottawa River. You can also take a dip in the creek at the Dome or take a hike to Scooper Lake for a remote wilderness swim. In the right seasons, there is an abundance of wild berries, wild edibles and mushrooms to pick and forage. The autumn is spectacular with the ever-changing colours and incredible viewpoints overlooking the Laurentian Mountains. For the children, there is a complete play structure with sand, swing sets, slack lines, hammock zone and a zip line. All water equipment is included. There are no additional charges for summer activities. In the winter months, we promise to bring out your inner child! We are a one-stop destination for all the favourite winter activities. Enjoy the extensive trail system for snowshoeing and back-country skiing. For an adrenaline ride, slide down one of the 7 unique tubing luge runs in our tubing park or enjoy ice skating on the pond. If you have children, you will want to experience the activities in our adventure passport: outdoor obstacle course, groomed scavenger hunt loop, interactive “Foxy” story trail and snow mountain scrabble. At the end of the day, relax and unwind with a hot cup of cocoa by the fire or enjoy a hot sauna. Please note that the tubing and sauna must be reserved in advance and extra fees apply. All other winter activities are included with your stay. Please inquire directly to reserve the sauna or tubing. Other items to note: Showers (warmer seasons): Three outdoor eco-showers are available, whereby water is collected in a holding tank from the natural spring, passively heated by the sun and gravity fed into the showers. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to get the sauna hot and ready and the time must be coordinated in advance. You can also take a dip in the creek at the Dome or take a hike to Scooper Lake for a remote wilderness swim. In the right seasons, there is an abundance of wild berries, wild edibles and mushrooms to pick and forage. The autumn is spectacular with the ever-changing colours and incredible viewpoints overlooking the Laurentian Mountains. For the children, there is a complete play structure with sand, swing sets, slack lines, hammock zone and a zip line. All water equipment is included. There are no additional charges for summer activities. In the winter months, we promise to bring out your inner child! We are a one-stop destination for all the favourite winter activities. Enjoy the extensive trail system for snowshoeing and back-country skiing. For an adrenaline ride, slide down one of the 7 unique tubing luge runs in our tubing park or enjoy ice skating on the pond. If you have children, you will want to experience the activities in our adventure passport: outdoor obstacle course, groomed scavenger hunt loop, interactive “Foxy” story trail and snow mountain scrabble. At the end of the day, relax and unwind with a hot cup of cocoa by the fire or enjoy a hot sauna. Please note that the tubing and sauna must be reserved in advance and extra fees apply. All other winter activities are included with your stay. Please inquire directly to reserve the sauna or tubing. Other items to note: Showers (warmer seasons): Three outdoor eco-showers are available, whereby water is collected in a holding tank from the natural spring, passively heated by the sun and gravity fed into the showers. Wood-fired Sauna: The sauna experience is often a highlight and includes a unique manual pump shower set up. The sauna can be reserved by the hour for your own private use. The cost is $67.80 for the hour for 2 guests + $5.65 per additional guest (includes HST). We will get everything ready, including delivering the water and lighting candles if it's at night time. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to get the sauna hot and ready and the time must be coordinated in advance. Outdoor bonfire wood available for purchase - $12 per bundle For bedding - bottom sheets only provided. Guests need to bring their own comforters/sleeping bags and pillows.     With over 800 sq. ft. of space, the beautiful design and high ceiling provides a unique experience to help you step away from the outside world, & into a home of relaxation & zen, while sparking your creative imagination! You will also enjoy the natural lighting that comes from the ‘tunnel’ at the top of the yurt, with multiple windows along its circular form. The yurt has one bedroom with a double bed, an indoor compost toilet and one open concept kitchen, dining and living room area. Floor mattresses are available for extra sleeping capacity. The yurt is self-sufficient and set up for all your basic needs, including: cooking, cleaning and serving. All you should need is a cooler with your food. For cooking, there is a propane stove and oven, a BBQ and an outdoor fire pit. All kitchen necessities are provided. There is no running water – however, large jugs of water from the onsite natural spring are provided. For heating, there is a wood stove inside to maintain a warm and cozy temperature. Wood for indoor heating is included with your stay. This is an off-grid setting with a small solar set up that supplies basic electricity. Please note that there is no wifi or cell service at the yurt , which has become a selling feature for our destination as guests are looking to disconnect. If you 'must' connect, there is one place on the property to tap into service or there is full service a quick drive down the road. The Town of Mattawa is also a 15-minute drive away.     I stayed here for part of my annual camping trip with my dad and brother and absolutely loved it! Jen was so nice, had detailed directions, the place was organized well. Tent site #3 was private, the land itself was beautiful. We especially loved use of the water equipment down at bangs bay!

    My friends and I had a great time tent camping on Jen's land. It was a very nice balance between the privacy and off-the-grid experience of backcountry camping and camping at a park where there are amenities. The small town of mattawa is a relatively close drive away if any food or supplies are needed. The campsite was nicely shaded and had comfortable soft ground for sleeping on in a tent. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained. We plan to come back next year!

    This campsite is truly exceptional, thanks to both the stunning property and the outstanding host. Jen's dedication to maintaining and enhancing the site is evident in every detail! The grounds are immaculate, and the range of amenities is a real treat. The river access is fantastic, providing a private spot perfect for swimming and paddling. This place is a hidden gem, and I can’t recommend it enough!

    This place was amazing!!! Felt like having a provincial park all to ourselves. My three kids age 12,9 and 3 all loved it and there was plenty to entertain everyone. Highly recommend the little mountain hike. Manageable for everyone with a very rewarding view at the top!

    Great long weekend
    My family loved the Levitation tent! It was a fun and unique weekend! The site was very private and rustic and we had the bonus of using all the Lodge's amenities throughout the day. My kids loved frolicking in the creek, going on the Northern animals scavenger hunt, and swimming in the lake. We all had a blast and can't wait to come back. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Lots of fun!
    The absolute best part of this place is how isolated and enormous it is; trails and creeks everywhere and access to the lake/river simply wow! We went to sleep listening to nature and woke up listening to nature. It simply does not get any better than this. We now have our favorite place to visit in Mattawa; thank you Jen and family for allowing us to share your beautiful home.

    Jenns property was a slice of heaven. The little dipper dome was the perfect size for our girls' (3) weekend. It had everything we needed and you could step out the door and start hiking.

    If you are looking to disconnect this is the place. We stayed in the Big Dipper dome, loved it. The ambiance at night with the fire and the stars was amazing. The property is huge but what we seen of it was stunning. Bangs bay where the kayaks and canoes are is a great place to kill a day on the water. The sauna(extra charge) totally worth it. We will be back. Thank you Jennifer and team for this amazing place to hide from the crazy world.

    Levitation tent campsite ⛺️
    Very unique campsite, I have never experienced camping like this before. A stream, with a tent over it, surrounded by trees and a stary night. And no neighbours in sight! This, along with the lake and canoes available made it easily a calming getaway. Would highly recommend this private experience. The staff was also lovely and polite. Hope to be back soon

    Harmony at it's finest
    The campsite is well isolated from the road so that you can't hear anything but the creek and the nature which is really nice. The host was very accommodating with providing us with cooking essentials and greeted and guided us with all the hospitality. The biggest marketing mistake of the campsite is not having more pictures of the lake! It is an absolutely stunning and peaceful place with the minimum people that you can explore (for free!) using the provided water equipment. It was really worth all the time driving so far. Sauna was worth it as well because it is well maintained and is very pleasant to visit. There are also numerous trails for hiking with decent views. I would definitely recommend this to anybody. The only downside is that there isn't too much flat ground on the site in case you are bringing more tents but we settled well.

    Such a beautiful and well equipped campsite! Jennifer was so helpful and friendly, check in was great and we were given lots of useful information. The trails on site are well signposted so it makes exploring the land super easy. Lovely to be able to swim in the lake and hang out on the hammocks. Would absolutely stay here again!

    Love the dome!
    I had a great time staying in the Little Dipper Dome. It was clean and cozy and it even got cool enough at night to light a fire in the wood stove. It was exactly what I wanted for a quiet vacation. You feel like you're the only one there. Great paddling and nice hiking trails too. Thank you Jen!
