Lanthorn is situated just north of Wakefield Quebec surrounded by forest, creeks, waterfalls, and hikes with views of the surrounding area. Our farm grows willow for basketry and living structures. I built this cabin to be a romantic, cozy off-grid getaway for humans , but if most of our guests are being honest, the dogs are the ones having the best time. There’s a cozy queen bed with fresh linens and a down duvet. A covered deck with handcrafted rocking chairs for sunset views. A private fire area below for campfires and stargazing. LED lighting, a Bluetooth speaker, a Jackery battery bank, clean well water, lanterns, an outdoor shower, and a clean outhouse. I’ll even haul your gear in by ATV so you can settle in without the hassle. And after all that work, most guests still seem to agree on the real highlight: Watching their dogs absolutely lose their minds with happiness. More than anything, this place has become a favourite for people who want to give their dogs the kind of freedom they rarely get anywhere else. Most of our guests tell us over and over, that their favourite part is watching their best friends make their own decisions, run the trails, sniff everything, chase chipmunks, explore the forest, and basically have the time of their lives. Of course, the humans tend to enjoy themselves too. The cabin sits on a west-facing cliff on our private 164-acre property. Once you arrive, you’ll have the feeling of having the whole place to yourselves. The trails, the forest, the quiet, the sunsets, it all feels wonderfully removed from the usual noise. This time of year, the forest is waking up, and the property starts to shift into spring. It’s a beautiful season here, muddy in spots, full of fresh smells, birdsong, and that feeling that everything is coming back to life. For dogs, it’s heaven. For people, it’s a chance to unplug, slow down, and enjoy a kind of peace that’s getting harder to find. You’ll have access to 10 km of private trails through forest, ridgelines, and lakeshore. Weekend Trip to Dog Friendly Cliffside Cabin

This cabin is such a restful retreat in the middle of the forest, with a big beautiful hiking trail right on the property. It’s fully secluded for dogs to run freely, yet Mike and Monique live right nearby for anything you need during your stay. The cabin is equipped with all the essentials, the bed is comfy and Mike is highly responsive to any needs, while also respecting your privacy. I can’t wait to return!

A wonderful little spot! The cabin overlooking the cliff makes you feel like you’re above the trees, and the sunsets are to die for. Everything we could need was provided, which made for the most relaxing weekend ever. Of course, our dogs had the most amazing time, running free in the forest while we walked along the marked trails. It felt both private and homey, the perfect combination for a getaway from the city. Big thank you to Mike for the clear instructions and helpful attitude; we didn’t need anything but I wouldn’t have hesitated to ask!

We had a great time at the treehouse. We had very hospitable hosts. Valerie warned us about the mosquitos and she was not kidding! Good thing we brought the Thermacell because it really made our stay more comfortable. The portalet was a nice surprise - it was very clean! I am happy we chose this place. It was my son's first time camping and he enjoyed!

I came back to Agape Gardens less than a week after my 1st stay. That says it all! There's something really special about this place. The peace, nature, and quiet atmosphere make it the perfect place to disconnect and recharge. The outdoor hot tub late at night is an absolute must! Such a relaxing and unforgettable experience under the night sky. Jennie & Jeremy are amazing hosts, and everything feels welcoming and relaxing. Definitely becoming one of my favourite getaway spots!

Rae (host) is very friendly, very attentive, and very kind and you can communicate your needs and she'll take care of them if possible. I definitely recommend their Mountain breakfast! The furnace warms up the cabin very well (we were toasty, also there’s a CO2 detector so no risk there), the bed was comfy, and the place equipped with everything one might need while camping and more (kitchen utensils, but also kettle, mini fridge, etc.). We definitely had a great stay and would totally be down to come back another time!

We had a great stay at the Leo cabin at Agape Gardens! Our hosts were easy to communicate with and quick to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. The walking trail, beautiful cabin, and wood fired hot tub were highlights for us. It was an incredibly relaxing stay!

Truly a heavenly escape. Mike has thought of everything (twinkle lights, comfy pillows, moveable light, rocking chairs). Exactly what we needed after a stressful few weeks at work. Our little guy has a great time sitting with us on the porch and exploring the surrounding forests. Would recommend to anyone
