Your campsite and cabin(s) are nestled a half-km from our home, along a driveable path to the site, as long as the road is clear of ice and snow.
You will have total privacy for you and your guests and yours will be the only rental while you are here!
There is a main cabin that is set up for two people that comes with your rental.
There is also tons of mowed space for other guests to camp, included in the initial booking price, or, if they choose, they can rent our sleep cabin that has room for up to 7 more to sleep in a bed in a cozy cabin. We are happy to host large, friend and family gatherings.
There is an outdoor shower, outdoor games, three hard-topped gazebos, hammocks, scenic walks, a large fire pit with plenty of seating, picnic tables, and more!

Our Farm is located on the very edge of the Canadian Shield, so most of the landscape is a rocky, rugged, and naturally wooded. Throughout the property are numerous short, looping, walking trails that meander throughout the Sugar bush, pasture area, 3 season pond, and our farm animal "homes". These trails are perfect for short nature walks, where you'll experience natural wildflowers and plants, see and hear song birds, small animal wildlife and of course, farm life too.
We are also located on the edge of the Eastern Ontario "Dark Sky" Area, which means we have a very nice view from the edge of our pasture of the North Sky stars on a clear night, with very minimal light pollution.
Our varied collection of farm animals includes; lots of chickens, (including roosters who DO crow in the early morning hours), miniature goats, horses, a couple of barn cats, and a dog.

A tranquil sanctuary of peace and solitude to soothe the soul, Simcoe Island is a bird watcher paradise, so close to the city of Kingston yet a world where time has stopped. Accommodations are a 16’ x 20’ prospector wall tent, set up with queen size deluxe air mattress, bunk bed and single cots for extra guests. We have a food prep table, dishes, frying pan and cooking pot, a small microwave, single induction cooktop, small bar fridge and a kettle and coffee maker. You can eat your meals at the picnic table inside the tent or at the outside picnic table. There is a kerosene heater for cooler nights and a wood pellet stove which will heat the tent during the winter months. An outdoor dishwashing station is available with on demand hot water. We have a basic dug privy. There are bicycles available to use to explore the island and there are 3 kayaks and 2 canoes for paddling in the sheltered channel and the lake. Fishing generally is good. Ferry toll is $10 for a return trip and the ferry from downtown Kingston to Wolfe Island is free. Linens and sleeping bags are available if requested . FALL and WINTER CAMPING at Windpsalm: Kerosene and/or wood pellets costs will be discussed prior to or upon guests arrival during the fall and winter months. The pellet stove's fan tends to be a bit noisy but it does a good job of making the tent warm and comfortable. Fen stayed in the tent in February when the overnight temperatures were -25C and the inside temperature on the back wall was 18C. Fen's grandchildren are also regular winter campers at Windpsalm. We can also provide a few sets of snowshoes and if requested a popup ice fishing hut. In the event that the snow is too deep for your vehicle, we will transport our guests to the tent in our farm John Deere Gator.

Very cool spot to camp! Lovely little island getaway. Tent is spacious and well equipped. Fen made sure we were setup with kayaks and bikes. You can't swim off the dock as there are too many weeds, but there's a small (rocky) beach a short bike down the end of School Rd that the kids really enjoyed swimming at. At Fen's recommendation we spent an afternoon at Big Sandy Bay Beach on Wolfe island and it was definitely worth the drive!

Elizabeth is a very welcoming and thoughtful host. She made sure that I had water for drinking and ice for the cooler. Bug spray was available and there was even a power bank to charge the lights and my phone if I needed it. The bed was comfortable. I especially loved the setting under the trees and the hammock to relax in.

It is a beautiful place surrounded by pure wilderness. Staying in the treehouse was an amazing experience — peaceful, quiet, and perfect for two people. We really enjoyed sitting outside and just taking in nature.Pedja is an amazing host, and you won’t find many like him. He made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We even went fishing together, which was completely unexpected but ended up being the best part of our stay. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely made the experience special.There’s also a beautiful trail nearby if you enjoy walking and exploring. We had a great time overall and would definitely come back again. He even allowed us to stay a couple of extra hours, and there was plenty of firewood for a perfect campfire.

The site is tranquil and beautiful, tucked away in the woods. 2 minute drive from a nice walking/biking trail. 20 minute drive from Perth, which is a nice little town to visit with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants and places to walk. The camper is comfortable for 2 adults, would be squishy for four. Enjoyed the fire pit at night. The outhouse is clean and very pleasant all things considered.

Our family recently stayed here and we cannot recommend it enough. If you love the idea of being surrounded by nature but still want the comfort and convenience of modern life, this is the perfect spot.
The site itself was beautiful and well-maintained. The accommodations were complete with all the essential amenities, making the experience completely stress-free. It was the perfect balance of a rugged outdoor vibe and total comfort.
The hosts were helpful and hospitable and quick to answer our questions.
We had an amazing time and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

This was our first glamping experience and Sibo and Gee were exceptional hosts. They were very responsive to our questions and available throughout our stay. We booked 2 sites and everything was pretty much provided for us! The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets for the nights that dipped in temperature. The kitchens had everything we needed so we didn't need to bring many supplies other than food.
We were able to purchase firewood from them and Gee was nice enough to drop off fresh eggs from their chickens. The property was well maintained and the kids had so much fun exploring. There were activities like board games and axe throwing that kept us entertained too. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun yet relaxing glamping experience!

Weekend Trip to Glamping - Intimate Cabin & Campsites
We were so happy to return to this amazing spot again. It is so peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. Hosts have carefully and graciously created a little oasis - we love it here. Choleena and Larry are wonderful people and hosts. Highly recommend - except for the calendar dates we intend to come back for our next visit! 😀

I really enjoyed staying at Sibo’s land, the tent was massive with comfortable beds and pillows, the washroom/ shower were close and welcoming, the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and forgot to bring, they also brought us fresh farm eggs.

Weekend Trip to Big Rock Eco Retreat & Campgrounds
Such a beautiful cabin and gorgeous land. We had such a great time building campfires, eating smores and walking around the property. The sky at night was amazing. Jason was very helpful and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. Bonus points: Rocky the dog is extremely cute. Would definitely return!
