Your campsite and cabin(s) are nestled a half-km from our home, along a driveable path to the site, as long as the road is clear of ice and snow. You will have total privacy for you and your guests and yours will be the only rental while you are here! There is a main cabin that is set up for two people that comes with your rental. There is also tons of mowed space for other guests to camp, included in the initial booking price, or, if they choose, they can rent our sleep cabin that has room for up to 7 more to sleep in a bed in a cozy cabin. We are happy to host large, friend and family gatherings. There is an outdoor shower, outdoor games, three hard-topped gazebos, hammocks, scenic walks, a large fire pit with plenty of seating, picnic tables, and more! Set up your fishing shack outside your door, open a hole and fish! *Winter roads require an AWD or 4WD vehicle to access Juniper Cabin. Parking is available on-site for all guests. If you bring your boat, there is parking for your trailer as well. *Power outages due to storms are always a possibility in cottage country. Typically, power is restored within a few hours if this should happen. A tranquil sanctuary of peace and solitude to soothe the soul, Simcoe Island is a bird watcher paradise, so close to the city of Kingston yet a world where time has stopped. Accommodations are a 16’ x 20’ prospector wall tent, set up with queen size deluxe air mattress, bunk bed and single cots for extra guests. We have a food prep table, dishes, frying pan and cooking pot, a small microwave, single induction cooktop, small bar fridge and a kettle and coffee maker. You can eat your meals at the picnic table inside the tent or at the outside picnic table. There is a kerosene heater for cooler nights and a wood pellet stove which will heat the tent during the winter months. An outdoor dishwashing station is available with on demand hot water. We have a basic dug privy. There are bicycles available to use to explore the island and there are 3 kayaks and 2 canoes for paddling in the sheltered channel and the lake. Fishing generally is good. Ferry toll is $10 for a return trip and the ferry from downtown Kingston to Wolfe Island is free. Linens and sleeping bags are available if requested . FALL and WINTER CAMPING at Windpsalm: Kerosene and/or wood pellets costs will be discussed prior to or upon guests arrival during the fall and winter months. The pellet stove's fan tends to be a bit noisy but it does a good job of making the tent warm and comfortable. Fen stayed in the tent in February when the overnight temperatures were -25C and the inside temperature on the back wall was 18C. Fen's grandchildren are also regular winter campers at Windpsalm. We can also provide a few sets of snowshoes and if requested a popup ice fishing hut. In the event that the snow is too deep for your vehicle, we will transport our guests to the tent in our farm John Deere Gator.

This cabin greatly exceeded our expectations, the indoor space is perfectly decorated and the bed so comfortable you dont want to leave! The kitchen has all the basic essentials plus a bbq for cooking. The surrounding property is so peaceful and the privacy cannot be understated. There is not a single other person or structure for acres. We were blown away by the sheer size and remote feeling of the lake - it felt like backcountry with all the anemities of a cottage. The stars on a clear night are breathtaking, but make sure to bring a flashlight and be aware of your steps because on a moonless night it gets DARK. The outhouse is what it is, an outhouse on a popular rental property, no complaints. We saw herons, fish, and so many small frogs/toads! Plus a pesky red squirrel that did not appreciate us shooing it from the snack bag (so cute yet so spicy) I could write a novel about this spot but its best to experience it yourself. Lisa's farm is a peaceful retreat for the noise of life. Be prepared to hike a little but it's worth the walk. The Stargazer cabin is beautifully setup. Cozy and well stocked. And her bread is amazing!

3 nights at Eco Acres Farm

This was a great way to camp. The hideaway cabin was comfortable, warm and very clean. Everything you needed was provided! Lots of privacy. The host was very responsive and communication was great. The outdoor shower was amazing and having our own personal outhouse was great too. Having the option for flush toilets and inside shower a bonus as well. Such a beautiful spot! You are camping so the bugs are bad but thats expected. Would definitely stay here again!

We took our 7 month old son here on his first camping trip. It was perfect! We just put a pack and play on the single bed. So great to have more space and shelter and less packing than a tent. Very peaceful. There were lots of great places in the area to explore.

Cabin #1 at White Wolf is a beautiful setup. All the little touches well thought out. It was nice having power to charge devices. The steps and bed height worked well for my sister's minor mobility challenges. We would have liked to stay longer.

The Stargazer Bunkie was an excellent choice. The location beside Tango's pasture was relaxing and it was fun to watch him prance around and whinny. we even heard him snoring beside our campfire one evening. The stars are plentiful on a clear night and the firefly's are fun to watch as well. Bring mosquito spray as they are pesty. I'd recommend this spot to anyone wanting to get off the grid for a few days.

Honestly the sweetest little get away spot- we had the stargazer bunkie. Lisa is an amazing and honest host who truly went above and beyond for us. They have all the necessary amenities and the farm animals are truly a blessing- the horse kept us company. Close to near by restaurants and other great attractions, we had a very comfortable sleep. If you're looking to get off the grid go and relax at Lisa's Stargazer cabin. It was so relaxing. The opportunity to see the stars so bright is exciting. Her horse Tango which is next to the cabin is a joy to watch. We didn't interact with the goats or chickens but we walked right by them on they way to our spot. If we're back in the area I know I'll try to book this spot again.
