The campsite was immaculate. and the glamping and firewood options made made planning so much easier. Not having to worry about tent set up or tear down is a gamechanger. Dave is a super chill and responsive host

Monarch meadows is the best place to camp and to unwind. The perfect place its very peaceful, birds flying and tweeting, heard turkeys from a distance, the sound of a rushing river so soothing, whoosing sounds of wind from the trees, luscious green trees and grasses, crackling sounds of fire from the fire pit its a natural world.
It was raining dint care dint last long still we had a great time, we walked in the trail to explore, my hubby fish for fun, barbecued in the firepit, read my book relax and had a cup of tea.
David, hes extremely helpful helped us carry our stuff and offered helped the day we left.
I definitely recommend Monarch Meadows tree farm. I assure, you will have a good time and refresh.

The river view was amazing! I had an amazing stay listening to the wildlife over night. I also highly recommend anyone goes to breakfast at Thorndale Family Restaurant after their stay!

Great private location close to London and surrounding area to get away in nature.
Plenty of wildlife around, bring binoculars for bird watching.
David was super communicative and we were able to get our gear loaded and carried on the 4x4.
Highly recommended, will look to book in the future and bring the kids.

We stayed two nights on David's land, and it was exactly as beautiful and peaceful as described. David is a great host and makes you feel welcome. The spot is spacious and comes equipped with a grill on the fire pit, chairs, and lights for the evening. The river is beautiful. The space is very private and we didn't see anyone for the two days we were there. A gem of a place.

One of the most beautiful sites we have ever had the pleasure of camping at. Scenic riverfront views, a well-maintained and welcoming camp area, and thoughtful amenities made for an incredible experience for our little family. Our only gripe is that we didn't stay for longer, and we highly recommend anyone looking for a private, pet-friendly site give it a go.

From the time of booking, David was communicative about check in and location.
David communicated via text after booking that the site was an approximately 350m walk in with a steep portion. While this was a concern for us due to Vince's limited mobility, we agreed to take the risk and see the conditions for ourselves because the site looked beautiful and worth the work. However, when we showed up and saw the distance and the conditions, it was too much for Vince to be able to walk in safely and get our equipment in so, unfortunately, we weren't able to stay. We texted this to David immediately and requested a refund of the $10 extra we had paid for wood that we wouldn't be able to use. We didn't get a response. Not a big deal, it just would have been a courtesy.
So, we can only review the experience we had. David was communicative and available prior to check in. The site is secluded and peaceful. I believe that if it hadn't of been a walk in site that required carrying our gear over uneven, steep terrain, we would have had a very good overall experience. However, I wish the conditions were made more explicit in the listing, perhaps with photos.

We had a great time staying here for a couple of nights! It was our first time camping with our pup, and it was great to have so much space and privacy to get her used to camping.

Tenting next to the river and listening to it while enjoying the fire was a great experience. David is a super nice host. He helped us with moving our stuff to the campsite and provided almost everything that one might’ve forgotten for staying the night.
We loved the lighting of the site which makes a great photo shooting space.
You gotta try this. You won’t regret it.

We loved our stay in Monarch Meadows Tree Farm. It is a fun place to spend time with your family and friends or even for couples. The bonfire at night with the lake view was fantastic we stayed very late to savour the night.
Highly recommended for people who are looking for a nice, clean, safe place to do camping and to add to this the Host David is very accommodating, so helpful and kind. We’ll definitely be looking to book this place again!

The perfect place if you are looking for privacy. Lovely, well maintained site, super nice, accommodating hosts who even drive all your stuff in for you! Also ideal for dogs who need more space than on a regular campground, my girl had a fantastic time.

Beautiful well kept campsite! Loved the twinkle lights at night and how peaceful it is. Not too many bugs considering it’s close to water as well which was a plus! David was super nice and helped drive our gear back up to the cars at the end of our stay.
There is a little path down to the site which can be a little slippery in the forest area when went but manageable

David was a great host, it felt like back country camping as you had to park by the road and walk down to the site. David helps take your things up and down which was very considerate! The scenery was amazing and it was very quiet. A relaxing trip for sure

David's spot is amazing. The spot has everything you would want for a couple night getaway. Quiet, beautiful, a shaded area and a creek to play in. We even managed to get some paddleboarding in although that took some effort and finesse to make work due to the creek being quite shallow in areas. My daughter and I were still able to make good fun with it.
BIG fish in that creek too!
Highly recommend to anyone of any experience and desire. We typically go to provincial parks but decided to try hipcamp for a weekend. Perfect for first timers and also for experienced campers. David and his wife helped to transport all of our family's stuff from where we parked. They were very flexible with their timing too. Would come back again.

Even before the Camping Trip started. David was an absolute delight to speak to. All the requests, updates we wanted were very well catered to. When we reached the camp site, the view was phenomenal and the host as well. Dave helped us with all the details, firewood, butane burner and other stuff.
Because it was continuously raining Dave also offered his personal cabin, due to rise in water level.
As soon as we made a request, he followed up and came through for everything. Absolutely recommend the campsite. Absolutely recommend David. Had the best birthday Ever

David's place was delightful! The site is spacious and private, situated with open space, a large tree for shade, and is directly on the Thames River bank, over which the sun rose. The outhouse was convenient! We were treated to the aurora borealis the evening we arrived! Wildlife included song and water birds, with coyotes and raccoons heard at a distance in the evenings. The surroundings are peaceful, so we could truly relax. He was very responsive and accommodating throughout. We would likely return!

We were camping with our 7 y.o stranger anxious dog and David was really accommodating with it. The space is private enough that we could have her explore off leash and she had a blast with the river. David helped haul our stuff to and fro from the site and I forgot my battery pack so even lent me his to charge my phone. He is super kind and helpful. The toilet is super clean. We saw a variety of birds on the river and it was a super fun long weekend. We even saw a few groups floating down the river. Our stay at Monarch Meadows was absolutely incredible! David was such an amazing and accommodating host. The location is so beautiful and we saw so much wild life! We did lots of fishing and relaxing. Getting the Glamping bundle from David is a HUGE deal, we had everything we needed and didn’t need to worry about setup or take down. Our 12 year old border collie had the most amazing time splashing in the water and chasing the carps around. Absolutely recommend! 100/10 on the entire trip. Thanks for everything David. We will be back! :)

David’s property was stunning to say the least! First you are treated by a field of wild flowers which is a fantastic start to a camping trip. Then after a small trek into the forested area - you find yourself in a serene area, by a river, shaded by a large tree. It was very hot on the trip I made - but the spot at the site was shaded everywhere and it was perfect! Would definitely come back. Waking up in the morning with the fog coming off the river was the best part.
