Offering a serviced camping site for tents for up to 4 persons, with a firepit, two hammock chairs, rustic toilet, cold (sun-warmed) shower in season, a large deck with bar-height table and two chairs, four lawn chairs, floating dock, garbage and recycling bins, canoe and private 1.5 acre lake! Parking is right at the campsite, following a 400m tractorway over grass. This tractorway enters and exits onto the county road independent of the host’s private home driveway.
Our small, bio-diverse farm is in a quiet location but only 10km from shops and cafes. Our property is run with minimal chemical inputs. The lake supports fish, turtles, thousands of tree frogs in the spring, and musk rat, woodland ducks, and heron. You may also see rare bobolinks, barn swallows, and bats in summer. Star gazing is very good, there is very little light pollution. Tall poplar trees provide shade and shelter as well as pleasant sounds of the wind.
Footwear is advised. Conditions underfoot are usually good, we do try to keep poison ivy in check but it does pop up here and there.

FACILITIES
We have a beautiful organic farm and a few spots for you to stay alongside (or in) our fields. You really get off grid here. We have water to fill up your tank and 30 amp electricity. There's wifi near the house. And for a small fee you can get wood for a campfire.
For swimming we recommend the beautiful beaches in Rondeau Park, only a few minutes away! Also, you can walk or cycle to town for an ice cream or groceries.

Nearby you will find trails, boat launch, Oil Museum, eagle/deer sightings, grocery, local food, banks, parks. Or if ya'd just like to stay and join us at Crossroad Saloon (on property) to kick back and watch T.V. and tunes in the a/c!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Angler Camp! Steven and his wife went above and beyond to accommodate us. They even had surprise Easter eggs on the grass for our small children to hunt on Easter morning. We had everything we needed. Their land was clean, tons of grass, private and peaceful. Definitely incredibly hosts and campsite!

Weekend Trip to Cosy Log Cabin
A perfect getaway for a busy couple to just unwind. We live only about an hour away so it was nice to not have to drive so far to find something secluded and that it was... Totally private with all the amenities you need to just relax. Sitting in the hot tub while listening to the babbling brook beside you is just so peaceful. The host was very friendly and responsive.

Our stay at the Forest View glamping dome was an incredible experience. The location is surrounded by beautiful forest and nature, making it the perfect place to relax and disconnect from the busy city life. The dome itself was very clean, cozy, and well designed with comfortable beds and modern amenities.
One of the highlights was the outdoor area with the trail to Lake Erie, fire pit and overlooking the trees. At night, the sky was perfect for stargazing and the peaceful atmosphere made it even more special which made the stay comfortable while still feeling close to nature.
The host was very helpful and communication was smooth from booking to check-out. Overall, it was a unique glamping experience that combines camping with comfort. I would definitely recommend it for couples, friends, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in nature.

My boyfriend and I absolutely adored Ben’s cabin. It was so beautiful and we had the best time. The host has went above and beyond to give us guests a great experience when staying here. We were just so amazed by the property. And the touch of Christmas was the cherry on top. We plan on coming back at least once a year. We especially loved the seclusion, peace and quiet, and being right in nature in a luxurious cabin. This is the absolute best place for a relaxing trip. It definitely exceeded our expectations. And Ben is a very friendly and attentive host, and responds quick with any questions or concerns.

We first stayed at Angler’s Camp over Labor Day weekend and loved it so much we came back a month later for another weekend. Steve is a great host—friendly, welcoming, and keeps everything in perfect shape. The place is peaceful, quiet, and has everything you need. My husband and I really enjoyed just sitting back, reading, watching the stars, and soaking in the calm. It’s exactly the kind of relaxing getaway we were looking for.

A beautiful, secluded little spot. That perfect combination of feeling like you are camping within nature but with the luxuries of a gorgeous shelter and easy to use amenities. There is one other site but you wouldn't know they are there, there is enough distance. Host is very kind and communicates with fast responses.

View of the lake was beautiful with access to the beach. Host was friendly and helpful (raining during our pack up and brought garbage bags to keep everything dry). Second time staying here and just as wonderful as the first. Sara and Mark were available for any needs and are really friendly, they want you to really enjoy your time there. It shows from all of the extras they have set up, from free firewood to a 5gallon container of drinking water, well kept campsite, and hammock chairs to relax in. It's like a little peace of heaven.

Lots of trees and room for the dogs to run. Property lines for the roadside houses are clear but it's a bit unclear where this property ends. There are some nice spaces to set up and some very pretty meadows. You can hear some noise from neighbouring property but the space is completely private.

Overview
About
Battle Hill National Historic Site is located on a rolling landscape in the valley of Battle Hill near Highway 2 (also known as Longwoods Road) west of Wardsville, Ontario. The site is associated with the Battle of Longwoods, which occurred on March 4, 1814 on an open landscape near what is now Battle Hill Creek. Following a short skirmish between the British Regulars and American forces, the British were forced to retreat back to Delaware, while the Americans abandoned their advance and retreated to Detroit. There are no known extant remains of the battle; however, the site is marked by a plaque and cairn positioned on a small rise of land and surrounded by an iron fence. Official recognition refers to a polygon of land near Highway 2 in Wardsville Ontario.
