Pretty nice forest, though please note this spot is *very* close to the highway and there is a ton of car noise. I was woken up at 6am.

We really enjoyed tent camping at this site, even tho it rained on us and thunder stormed at 3 nights we were there. The best part is the hospitality of Matt, he was very accommodating and understanding, he let us choose and change the site without any hassle and have us wood and fire starters. Offered more wood in exchange of fish i catch! Unfortunately fish weren't biting as well as I hoped and I didn't deliver on that but over all it was a wonderful experience. We will be coming back in the spring sometime for some opening season fishing for Walleye.

Site 106 - Bluewater Grove
We loved our time at Matthew’s camping spot. Nestled amongst the trees and with supply of firewood, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We made the most of the close by beaches spending most of our days swimming in the lake. Super convenient to be close to supermarket and Tim Hortons - and also feel like you’re in the wilderness. Other than the occasional loud car or motor bike on the main road it was nice and quiet.

Matt was a wonderful host!! He met us at the site and shared some tidbits about the area. The sites were close but with the trees between them and how spacious they were it felt very secluded. The bathroom was a very clean portapotty not far from the camp.
Some talked about the noise from the road, but it was very minimal and barely able to be heard over the sound of the wildlife.

We had a great night! The site is close to a major road but it was quiet and peaceful and we could hear the sound of the lake which is just a few blocks away. Matthew provided us with firewood and fire starters which was awesome. We had some delays and arrived much later than we hoped, but enjoyed our campsite, the fire and had a good rest. We will definitely return and highly recommend this camp. We travel and camp in a VW bus but the space was clear for tents too.
And, there is a very ‘high-end’ port-o-pot onsite.
Our navigation/gps coordinants took us right to the entrance but we weren’t sure if we were actually there (again, it was dark). It’s not well marked but we re-visited Matthew’s email and he had provided us with instructions.

My wife and I had a great 3 night stay. So peaceful, clean, tall trees and no one around. Matt was super friendly and helpful. Short walk to the water where we swam. Definitely going back.

I was on a motocamping trip and found Matthew’s camp. Great spot, super close to everything one could need. Matthew went over and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. 11/10 for Matthew! As is the case on motocamping, it’s hard to have everything on the bike. The proximity to local shops makes this a perfect spot! Will be returning on my next road trip.

Matthew was a great host. The site was private and well maintained with toilet nearby. For RV campers who are able to provide their own hydro and water services (Matthew does rent out a Honda generator if needed), it is a lovely piece of land and a short drive to a beach. He also dropped off some wood for a small fire.

My son and I tented for a night on one of Matthew's sites. The sites are private and surrounded with trees. The location is good, and the sites farthest from the road were relatively quiet. Matthew was a good host and called to make sure had everything we needed. We plan to return with the rest of the family.

Beautiful campsite. Matthew is a great guy and I will be looking forward to my next trip. Something very last minute popped up so I wasn’t able to make it. However, the communication with Matthew was perfect and this was our top choice to visit and I am excited for our return. I will be bringing my two kids and wife and our camper and can’t wait to get there

This place was perfect and private, even while being close to conveniences. The location is fantastic and within walking distance of the lake. Matthew is a thoughtful host, and made sure we had plenty of firewood.

This was our second time staying at Brights Grove and the host Matt continues to show amazing hospitality. Couldnt be happier with our stay, the beach is a short walk down the road, the sites are private, amenities are close by if needed and if you need help with anything related to your site Matt is right there to help out.

Once again another great trip. Matthew is a wonderful host, wood was available for the fire, camp site clean and dry. Very happy, Brights Grove Bayou has great bike paths, parks and water (beach)

We enjoyed our stay other farm. I would suggest that the sites should be mowed down. Price is too high for what it is . $40. A night would have been more reasonably priced for what it was.,instead of $60. +

Walking distance to the lake!

We were coming to visit friends in Brights Grove and this was the perfect place to stay. There are no services but we had our RV so we were fine. There was a fire pit and we were
provided with enough firewood to have a beautiful fire. Mark and Matthew both came by to greet us and they are very friendly and accommodating! If you are ok with no services, I highly recommend this spot. It is walking distance to shopping and the lake.

We are first time trailer owners. This was the perfect spot to learn about our new trailer. Matt was very kind and friendly. Well maintained gravel road coming in. We recommend to anyone.our dogs had a great time.

Our weekend getaway with Matthew and Mark was amazing. So peaceful, beautiful view of the night sky, secluded but close to anything you could possibly need, very well kept sites and such kind, helpful people. We will be going back, and have/will recommend to friends and family.

my friends and I absolutely loved this camp, so close to the beach and the campsites were very private from one another. large sites had plenty of room, and Matt our host was so welcoming and full of info on the area and was overall beyond kind. we’re already making plans to go back!

Great stop for an overnighter on a long trip. Host worked with us on site selection which was helpful. I don’t think I wouldn’t pick this location for more then a night. Road close to site one but was pretty quiet overnight. Would have been nice to have the grass mowed down a bit.

This camp spot was exactly what we hoped for - a very private location to be with our dogs, yet close enough for us to walk to all amenities. It took us 10 minutes to get to all the shops we needed and we enjoyed such a lovely walk around Lake Huron.
Our host Matt was SO welcoming and helpful. He made sure we were comfortable and was easy to reach. We’ve stayed at many campgrounds, and there was just something really special about this place because the owner was so invested in us enjoying ourselves. He provided great wood for our fire, which was really appreciated.
We will be back! Our dogs will be sure to rest for a week after all the fun they had too.
