Offering a serviced camping site for tents for up to 4 persons, with a firepit, two hammock chairs, rustic toilet, cold (sun-warmed) shower in season, a large deck with bar-height table and two chairs, four lawn chairs, floating dock, garbage and recycling bins, canoe and private 1.5 acre lake! Parking is right at the campsite, following a 400m tractorway over grass. This tractorway enters and exits onto the county road independent of the host’s private home driveway.
Our small, bio-diverse farm is in a quiet location but only 10km from shops and cafes. Our property is run with minimal chemical inputs. The lake supports fish, turtles, thousands of tree frogs in the spring, and musk rat, woodland ducks, and heron. You may also see rare bobolinks, barn swallows, and bats in summer. Star gazing is very good, there is very little light pollution. Tall poplar trees provide shade and shelter as well as pleasant sounds of the wind.
Footwear is advised. Conditions underfoot are usually good, we do try to keep poison ivy in check but it does pop up here and there.

We have a beautiful organic farm and a few spots for you to stay alongside (or in) our fields. You really get off grid here. We have water to fill up your tank and 30 amp electricity. There's wifi near the house. And for a small fee you can get wood for a campfire.
For swimming we recommend the beautiful beaches in Rondeau Park, only a few minutes away! Also, you can walk or cycle to town for an ice cream or groceries.

The terrain is mostly flat but interesting. Campsites are private with good separation from each other. ALL sites have 2 car parking, a picnic table, fire pit and covered wood for purchase. Campfires are permitted according to our approved burn plan before midnight.
5G/LTE cellphone service is good for Bell, Rogers and Telus networks. We have 3 outhouses on the premises and an outdoor hot shower.
FREE Firewood can be gathered on the forest floor or pay for on-site pre-cut wood. Outhouses are close to campsites....but not too close 💩
Port Rowan is only 12 minutes away by car, most amenities can be purchased only 1 minute away at the local Busy Bee gas station.
We are situated in the middle of a Recreation Hotspot! Our site is within 3 minutes of paddling the Big Creek, 3 to 10 minutes to several A+ hiking trails, 15 minutes to amazing freshwater beaches of Long Point and Turkey Point, and the area is abound with cycling trails, motorcycle routes, geocaching, boat launches (we have room here for your boat!), cider/wine tours, and more! We are the perfect basecamp for everything the Long Point Bay area has to offer

What a beautiful little oasis just a short drive away. Lovely hosts and a gorgeous space, very private and well maintained. Options to tent in the shade or sun and a beautiful view right beside the river. Will definitely go again. Dog friendly. Bring your water shoes and plan to play in the river.

The "Fringe" was a lovely private campsite. Staying on a farm was a new experience for us and one we thoroughly enjoyed. Loved the new swing at the pond watching the Dragonflies at dusk. We drove about 15 minutes into Woodstock and spent some time at Roth Park on the Thames. Super close to all amenities.

With kids
It was our first time using Hipcamp and we really enjoyed the experience. The farm had a lot of space for the kids to run around. The campsite was clean and there was all the amenities we needed. It is close to Grand bend and beautiful beaches.
Farmer Grace and Jeff were very friendly and helpful. We also loved the small pantry with eggs for sale. The only recommendation I would make is to have a 2nd washroom available as it became a long wait when there were multiple different groups camping.

This was our 1st experience on HIPCAMP and we had an awesome time. It was very peaceful and relaxing the outdoor shower came in handy as it was very warm outside and needed a cooldown. Directions to the site were spot on and the occasional 4 legged friends that came to say hi were very friendly. There were so many different species of birds, some with sounds I had never heard before. The property was huge and was nice to see so many Monarch butterflies and Dragonflies. Sara has provided many different items that you are able to use in case you forgot something at home. We had some nice campfires at night and our sleep was very restful. We used the canoe a little bit to do some fishing and for sure no shortage of Sunfish in the pond. Overall we had a great time. Sara was always quick to respond to anything I had a question about. Ty again for sharing your property with us and hope we get a chance to come back :)

Discovered a little gem! Beautiful, private, welcoming, and tranquil. Highly recommend Liz's land.
The camper was clean and comfortable. Many sleeping options - big comfortable double mattress with a pull divider for privacy, twin bunk beds in the back with a curtain for privacy, a table that can fold down and a sofa that folds down too!
You will want to spend your time enjoying the beautiful land and trails. Berry bushes, herb garden, tea garden, and a sugar shack too!
Lots of woodland creatures singing their songs. Birds, frogs, squirrels. Love the music of the forrest.
Breakfast was breeze with the propane stove top. I recommend meeting the chickens and roosters and purchasing some fresh eggs!
Liz and family make you feel right at home. You could be visited by the family kitties too :) Can't say enough about about how warm and welcoming this gem is.
A generous free first fire wood pile made dinner and marshmallow time simple and relaxing.
Bear dog loved his stay too! A short, beautiful winding road drive to Port Burwell dog beach. Happy dog and I loved it too!
I only wish I had booked more days.
Can't wait to visit again!

I went back for another weekend stay. I have been a few times and keep returning because of the relaxation I get to feel. Sara and Mark are great hosts, they make themselves available if you need anything but give privacy. Their 3 sweet dogs like to stop in and say hi when they are out for a walk. They are very friendly and love pets! The area is clean and well maintained, and the hosts have made sure to set up most of what you would need during your stay, meaning you don't have to bring all of the extras. They have a pond and canoe to use for free. A large batch of firewood, kindle, paper, matches and firestarter is provided for free, and if you require more wood, there is some for sale at a low cost.They also have horses at the front of the property and some farms animals. I highly recommend this ace if you are looking to disconnect and relax.

Cabin was spacious, very few mosquitoes (but flies are still plenty). It’s nice that there is a Keurig machine and coffee pods provided, but I think it eats so much power that it causes the generator to start beeping loudly, especially if you have something else plugged in, like an electric cooler. Keep in mind if you are staying during any rainy or overcast days, the generator is solar powered and may not have enough for your appliances. Bring your own if you must. Floor was a little dusty when we checked in. The shower’s water pressure is not great either even after following the guide on how to work the shower. I understand they probably don’t want you using too much water, but just something to consider.
Other than that, really appreciated the grill, grilling racks, charcoal and logs for the wood stove provided. The hosts were very quick to answer any questions you have, and the value and location is worth it. Aside from the shower and some power issues, I’d say this is quite comparable to the provincial parks!

Camp Pelee was so nice and spacious! We loved how private our site was, surrounded by beautiful wooded areas! The property was beautiful, with a variety of sites to choose from. It was so nice and quiet. Was so nice to disconnect and be surrounded by nature for a few days. Turkey Point Beach is also super close for day trips to the beach. We throughly enjoyed our time away here. We are already planning our next trip back! Would 100% recommend this spot!

Walk where Canada’s earliest inhabitants did and imagine the Attiwandaron longhouses and palisade walls that once stood proudly at Southwold Earthworks National Historic Site. Close your eyes and imagine a rare fortified village of 800-900 Attiwandaron, also known as the Neutral Iroquois, who inhabited Southwold from 1500 to 1650 AD.
