A small solar system will run lights and a fan. There is a composting toilet, a wood burning fireplace in the winter, and a propane fireplace in the summer. The dome is totally private on a 10 acre farm with nature trials. The dome was a really unique and serene experience! The directions were easy to follow, and everything was as described. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Private Dome in Lush Forest
Old Growth Forest Retreat
Manon's dome in the forest is in a great location minutes away from the famous Sooke River Potholes as well as the town of Sooke. The space is private, tucked beneath large trees with a composting toilet and covered fire pit steps away. The inside of the dome is cozy but not cramped, even equipped with a wood fireplace for shoulder season and winter stays. The property features a number of paths through the lush forest, and horses graze in the field nearby. Along with the nearby Potholes, Sooke Region Museum is also a short drive away, plus numerous walking trails, and nearly limitless beaches close by. Be cautious regarding wildlife, as I spotted a couple bear droppings during my stay. I would certainly recommend Manon's place as a basecamp to explore Sooke.

Old Growth Forest Retreat
Beautiful spot, we definitely enjoyed our stay here. Lots of mosquitos so would recommend bringing bug spray if you want to hang out outside!
