Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave. Please note that in the winter months. There’s a $25 surcharge. This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush. We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter. Four-wheel-drive is required for access in the winter!

This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River. -RV Spot: With electric hook up ideal for RVs 30 feet and under -a connection to the organization, 'Black Folks Camp Too'! One of the high points of here is the interaction u will have with the pets, they are all super friendly and will play with u every time they see u, they believe u r here for them, between, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits etc they will be part of your stay, this is theyr home, u r theyr guests, that’s how they think, so u must be a pet lover. Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. There is really something for everyone around here. We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night. We have fire pits, picnic tables, Muskoka chairs and plenty of firewood. There is plenty of space for tents, and/or RVs. Check out the individual listings for more details about each site. We strive to give you a tranquil experience in a beautiful space where you can enjoy relaxing days close to nature, have space to play games, have a paddle around the pond, or seek out the many surrounding activities. A couple notes about the property: You may encounter property owners (that's us!) and our kids enjoying a walk with their friendly dogs unleashed, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work near your site and around the property. This is quite an honour, only 8 Newcomer Awards were given to the over 500,000 Hipcamp sites. Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. There is really something for everyone around here. We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night. We have fire pits, picnic tables, Muskoka chairs and plenty of firewood. There is plenty of space for tents, and/or RVs. Check out the individual listings for more details about each site. We strive to give you a tranquil experience in a beautiful space where you can enjoy relaxing days close to nature, have space to play games, have a paddle around the pond, or seek out the many surrounding activities. A couple notes about the property: You may encounter property owners (that's us!) and our kids enjoying a walk with their friendly dogs unleashed, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work near your site and around the property. See you in the Spring 2026. Welcome to our hidden oasis! We're a 2025 Canadian Hipcamp Newcomer Award Winner! Thanks to all our awesome guests! This is quite an honour, only 8 Newcomer Awards were given to the over 500,000 Hipcamp sites. Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. There is really something for everyone around here. We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night. We have fire pits, picnic tables, Muskoka chairs and plenty of firewood. There is plenty of space for tents, and/or RVs. Check out the individual listings for more details about each site. We strive to give you a tranquil experience in a beautiful space where you can enjoy relaxing days close to nature, have space to play games, have a paddle around the pond, or seek out the many surrounding activities. A couple notes about the property: You may encounter property owners (that's us!) and our kids enjoying a walk with their friendly dogs unleashed, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work near your site and around the property. We hope you don't mind. We aim to give you a lot of privacy, so we aren't going to be around all the time, don't worry. But this is a shared space, that we want to enjoy alongside you and we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We'll definitely say hi if we see you but we won't overstay our welcome!

Great little spot, small, cabin. Great for two people. There is a 2nd level Bunky but it might be a little tight to sleep in. Recommend for two people Max. Very rustic, yet well built cabin. Wood burning stove was easy to use. Note pit toilet ia open to elements. Quiet, location, sweet little forest. Lots of great birds to see including woodpeckers in the surrounding forest. Went in November for a micro sabbatical would be nice to go back in the summer. Host very attentive, and considerate. Highly recommend.

Lovely little cabin. Well-insulated, and has a wood stove. Doesn't take much fire to warm the place up. The main cabin has three single-bed cots plus a single bed mattress in the loft, but know there is very little headroom up there. Probably more suitable for a child. There's a table and four chairs. The plane has room for an adult or a couple of kids to set up sleeping bags. Very quiet. Didn't hear a thing aside from the wind in the trees. Just what I wanted for a Hallowe'en camping weekend. The outhouse is clean and as nice as an outhouse can be. Watch out for the dogs on the way in. They're friendly cuties, but don't seem car-smart, so drive extra slowly.

It truly is a " Hidden Oasis " . I really appreciated the quick response back from Laura to my inquiries and too the suggestions she gave for things we could do in the area during our stay. The setting could not have been nicer with large mature trees, a pond you could walk around and large clearing to gaze the stars at night fall. Comments already made about the large fire pit & welcoming large compositing outhouse and paddle boat (s) by the pond edge. Our boating Cat was absolutely fascinated with the pond and racing around the large cedars. Lots of reviews nothing not one negative thing could be said!! Firstly, Rick was the best host. Informative, responsive but left us to our own devices. My partner and I were looking for somewhere functional and secluded and this property hit all the marks. We stayed there with our 3 large dogs and were able to explore trails onsite that were easily accessible and intuitive. There's also a great clearing in the marsh where we were able to catch some shooting stars! The first night we stayed in the smaller cabin, which was a dreamy little slice of rustic bliss. Second night we stayed at the unique plane crash site - overall has more space and access to the plane worked as a perfect refuge to shelter from the elements, while conveniently placed steps away from the warmth of our campfire. Clearly both sites are treated with care, clean and filled No doubt, will be back.

Location and Accommodation: 4.5/5 The bunkie was great. Very cozy and comfortable. It was fantastic to have access both the forested area, and an open field for watching the sunset/sunrise or stars at night. Highly recommend this location in the fall when the leaves are changing. Close to Backus Woods, where I had a lovely hike as well. Host Communication: 1/5 I was given too much information. Bombarded with four different text walls of instructions, rules etc. all saying almost the same thing but slightly differently (or contradicting one another sometimes). The only personal communication (aside from several pre-written ones) I received from hosts was a message that said "Okay only if you need please ##########." This was in response to my request that we communicate by phone number once I leave my house since I do not have internet on my phone. Honestly, it made me feel like I was bothering them if I had questions while I was there - and I did end up having questions about how to safely operate the air intake on the woodstove but I just decided to keep it to myself. Value: 3.5/5 This place was awesome, but a touch expensive. After paying an extra $22 for firewood (necessary - it was close to 0C at night) and cleaning fees (I did all the cleaning because I was told to leave it better than I found it. There are not even sheets to change) it was 270 for 2 nights. At that rate, I expect to at least be welcomed by the hosts. Overall, would return (after trying other spots)

The land is framed by the historic Bruce Trail to the north, Billy Bishop airport (only a few small prop-private flights daily) to the west, Concession 6 N on the East, and Highway 26 on the south end of the property.   There is a forest on the north end of our land where the bruce trail runs through (C) and the farm sits more to the south end (A). There's a pine-forest that one has to hike into (B- see map in photos). Generally, the area is close to swimming in Lake Huron, the property is large (100 hectares) and the neighborhood is large grain. This means you can have a chunk of the forest all to yourself. For area A you can drive in the main driveway and park by the house/ barn or on the field. Or walk to a camping spot. No 4 wheel drive is necessary. Please stay away from the Barn as it is dangerous to be close by.  For area C you can access the fields from Concession 6 N at one of the gates past (North) of the driveway. You will need a 4-wheel drive to not get stuck in the field. Please do not park on the agricultural field.  For area B You will park your car behind a gate right off Highway 26 and hike in to find a site to pitch a tent. There are about 3 spots for cars behind the first set of Pines. You might need a 4-wheel drive.  It's completely up to you where you set up camp. We ask that you do not light any open fires as this is a coniferous forest. Feel free to walk in as far you want to find your spot. If you walk too far you will come up to a field and the farmhouse. We ask that you do not camp on the agricultural fields.

Learn more about this land: Park at the stream and take the bridge to your camp site equipped with gazebo, seating, picknick table and fire pit. Enjoy relaxing at either site along the stream - -both are included at the same price for additional privacy. You are also welcome to bring your well-mannered canine friends with you at no additional cost. Please note that pets must remain on the camp site and encourage the use of either leashes or tie outs. This property is also part of a hobby farm that is home to Nigerian Dwarf goats, calves, sheep, ducks, chickens, turkeys and bunnies. It may also be possible to take the goats for a walk around the property and should be arranged ahead of time. This area is also home to plenty of deer and other wildlife. For convenience, firewood and farm fresh eggs can be provided at a small fee. Our home is located on the edge of elmira. We live on 14 acres. We built a 1 acre campground on our property which also has a few trails for you to wander. The property is great for walking your dog leash free. Close to amenities and town but also feels secluded. Your campground includes - fire pit - walking trail - large cut grass field - great for dogs and walking dogs - abuts farm land with lots of privacy - no hydro available at main campground but for an extra charge I can provide a generator - porta potty on site which is very clean. - ability to park on grass or gravel - depending on time of year pond, it does dry up but dogs love swimming in it. - great sunrises and sunsets - 2 minutes to groceries and liquor stores, restaurants, Tim Hortons, Dog Park etc. - Lots of wood supply for fires (Extra Charge) The property can accommodate multiple camping reservations but for now we are only accepting 1 at a time on a a 5 acre portion of our 14 acres. The pond does dry up as the summer goes on as of right now until we renovate it, And we do not allow swimming in it (Animals are ok).

We have 5 multi-acre sites for Boondock camping that offer beautiful breezes off of Lake Huron and quiet private pastoral settings. Each site is groomed and offers a fire pit. You can bring up to 7 trailers into each site for a multi-trailer experience. We have approx 15 km of groomed trails to hike, trail run, walk all through Bruce County. We are close to numerous quaint Ontario towns and villages offering shops, bakeries, restaurants and more. The Saugeen River is located very close to the properties and you can rent kayaks in Paisley and go down the river towards Lake Huron. Lake Huron is a pristine great lake and we offer great beaches within 20 minute drive... Our settings are perfect for small or large gatherings and are private and secluded. Unfortunately we do not offer water, septic or hydro so your trailer needs to be self sustaining. TRAILERS and MOTORHOMES are the preferred method of camping. It is being used for Boondocking, weddings, mediation and yoga retreats and we look forward to hosting you also soon. We are pet friendly...so bring your four legged family members too!
