Weekend Trip to Robyn's Nest

We had an amazing time camping at Robyn's Nest! The highlight of our trip was how close the campsite was to the beach, just minutes away. The grounds were clean, quiet, and offered plenty of activities for guests to enjoy. The washroom was a huge plus: spotless, well-maintained, and clearly cared for. During our weekend stay, we spotted a groundhog, some turkeys, a few cows, and even a deer! Nature all around made the experience even more special. We’d highly recommend Robyn's Nest to anyone looking for a quiet and fun getaway. Thank you, Ronald!!

Ronald was a great host. Welcoming and helpful the entire stay. The campsite was clean, the available wood was dry, the washrooms are VERY clean. Many games provided. Close to a fantastic little lake. Great walks/ hikes in the area. Would definitely go back. Only comment would be that the campsites are not overly private.

Weekend Trip to Robyn's Nest

My boyfriend and I brought our Kitty with us for the weekend and had the best time! There were a bunch of outdoor games for us to play, the bathrooms were very clean and the Host were extremely friendly! The beach is right across the stress and there is a beautiful trail looking at the tides. I think you would need a 4 wheel drive to get up the hill , but other than that you are set. The morning we left , the cows came right up to our tent behind the fence and it was magical. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to River Gettaway

Camping at Paul’s was amazing. He was very kind & welcoming upon meeting. The site we were on was on the river - I don’t think they all are, but every site is a literal 1-2 min walk to a small sandy area where you can get into the river (including ours). We were spoiled with good views, and lots of good birding. Primitive camping indeed, one shared outhouse on the property, no running water, but that’s totally fine with us. Like camping in Algonquin. Though there were other folks there at the same time we seldom heard them so it felt super private. 4 mins drive towards Irondale there’s a convenience store, burger/chip truck, hot dog stand and ice cream. It really was a beautiful trip - thank you Paul!

Weekend Trip to Greens Mountain Camping

Had a lovely time at Brandi's camp. She was a great host and even drove me down to the lake in an awesome side by side so I knew where it was. The site is huge and so private. The whole family, including our dog had a great time. Would definitely recommend.

Shannon is an amazing host! Shannon was very kind and responsive. The camping spot was well taken care of. It was so great to have some outdoor furniture available to use. Another review mentioned the outhouse being cute, and they were not wrong! The dock and kayaks included were a real life saver in the heatwave. So grateful that we picked Shannon’s camping site! 10/10

Weekend Trip to Organic Flower Farm

Michael’s farm is the perfect place for a serene getaway! We only stayed in one night but easily could have stayed much much longer. Michael was a wonderful host and was so enthusiastic about the land and making us feel welcome. We enjoyed watching the horses, having a fire, and picking strawberries! I would recommend this camp to anyone :)

Weekend Trip to Cottingham property

The host was extremely friendly and easy to talk with. I brought my 6 and 3 year old boys and they were kind to them. The campsite was secluded and well maintained. The host brought us back to the site and made sure everything was all good and didn't require anything. They offered further help if required.

Very peaceful and serene. Few boaters and an abundance of wildlife. Prepare for time throughout the day without shade and some deer flies. Stunning, large site with gorgeous mornings, a great firepit and a cute outhouse!

Weekend Trip to Organic Flower Farm

Loved camping at Michael and Jenny’s farm. Magical property. Beautiful, simple set up. You have access to a sink with cold water, an outdoor shower and a bathroom. The wood fired hot tub and cold plunge were awesome. The kids loved the big open space, the chickens and the horses. There’s a little area with soccer nets and a volleyball net which was a blast to use. We’d definitely stay again :)

We had a relaxing weekend. Very quiet other than some road noise. We will stay again!

1 night at Campbellford Lightfoot Mountain

Valerie was so kind all the time ; however, my boyfriend and I we couldn’t enjoy the camping because started to raining and we couldn’t sleep in our tent , he had to pick up everything faster and go inside the out car. But overall the place is very harmonious and the view is nice. 😊

2 nights at Ballyduff Escapes

The owners are great and accommodating. The strip of land set aside for camping has three or four spots cut into the surrounding pines for tents, a fully stocked outhouse, garbage/recycling cans, and an outdoor wash basin with mirror. The picnic table is very large and has an umbrella. The mosquitos weren't bad when I was there in late May (I got bitten only twice in one day). I did feel a bit exposed to an onsite trailer and outbuilding in the distance toward the house, but not unduly. Their kids were running around a bit in the afternoon/early evening but weren't disruptive and didn't stray onto the camp site. I had to leave a day early due to illness unrelated to my stay and Amanda kindly reimbursed me for the day, which isn't required by Hipcamp. Very happy overall.

Weekend Trip to River Gettaway

This was our first experience with Hipcamp and we were extremely satisfied! Paul is a very friendly host. Even offered additional nights stay if we’d like! We stayed in site #2 (very large) with a beautiful view of the river and tons of space for our pup to roam and run around! LOTS of mosquitos so thankfully had bug spray and a little road noise but aside from that, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly!
