Star gazing is very good, there is very little light pollution. Tall poplar trees provide shade and shelter as well as pleasant sounds of the wind.
Footwear is advised. Conditions underfoot are usually good, we do try to keep poison ivy in check but it does pop up here and there.

For swimming we recommend the beautiful beaches in Rondeau Park, only a few minutes away! Also, you can walk or cycle to town for an ice cream or groceries.

Washroom & Shower: A shared washroom with warm/cold shower, toilet, and outdoor well-access tap is nearby and easy to access.
Water & Electricity There is no drinking water on-site—please bring your own. Electricity is available in the bunkie (solar-powered).
Wi-Fi & Cell Service: There is no Wi-Fi and very limited or no cell service. Plan to unplug and enjoy the quiet.
Garbage: There are no large garbage bins and no road side pickup. Please be prepared to bring your garbage to the dump during your stay, or you need to bring it home with you to dispose of. If any garbage is left behind a $75 cleanup, transfer and dump fee will be charged.
Temperature & Seasons: The bunkie is available year-round, however, it is not insulated. If you are coming in winter or intermit weather, we are assuming you "know what you're in for" and will pack and dress appropriately to be in the bush. In winter, the road may not be plowed and could require a short walk in. Bring extra blankets for chilly nights.

WHAT WE OFFER

At our organic farm we like to give our campers lots of space so each camper can enjoy waking up by the sounds of the birds and a stunning sunrise.
FACILITIES
We have a beautiful organic farm and a few spots for you to stay alongside (or in) our fields. You really get off grid here. We have water to fill up your tank and 30 amp electricity. There's wifi near the house. And for a small fee you can get wood for a campfire.
For swimming we recommend the beautiful beaches in Rondeau Park, only a few minutes away! Also, you can walk or cycle to town for an ice cream or groceries.

* Book an oil painting session for 35,- (Pay upon arrival. Excl. water mixable oil paint, but available in our store). Learn painting like the old masters!
* Nearby there's plenty to do. You won't get bored: Greenview Aviaries Park and Zoo (7min), Rondeau Park (19min) for beaches and birdwatching, breweries (25min) and Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History (31min).

This place has become my favourite year round trip! Between the quiet and the lovely farm, the animals and the adventures you can conquer I SUGGEST COMING BY AND STAYING ! Plus OBVIOUSLY BROOKS AND RUBY the best tour guides you can ask for, so lovable and so welcoming! It's like 10 minutes outside of Woodstock so supplies are easy to come by and the market they have makes it even better for farm fresh foods!!! Highly suggest staying here and enjoying the lovely accommodations they have!

Second time staying here and just as wonderful as the first. Sara and Mark were available for any needs and are really friendly, they want you to really enjoy your time there. It shows from all of the extras they have set up, from free firewood to a 5gallon container of drinking water, well kept campsite, and hammock chairs to relax in. It's like a little peace of heaven.

Lots of trees and room for the dogs to run. Property lines for the roadside houses are clear but it's a bit unclear where this property ends. There are some nice spaces to set up and some very pretty meadows. You can hear some noise from neighbouring property but the space is completely private.

Stayed at this site over the weekend and can't say enough about how peaceful it was. The hosts were kind and accommodating. Sarah and Mark thought of all the details one might need when camping. I didn't have to bring anything for the BBQ or campfire, it was all provided. 5 gallon water for drinking and washing dishes. Outhouse right at campsite. There is a pond with a canoe which was nice to use. Their dogs Honey and Maple stopped by for a visit on their walks, they are adorable! The campsite is at the back of their farm so you pass by ducks and horses along the way. They checked in through the stay to see if I needed anything. There are 2 hammock chairs which were great to relax on. Anyone looking for a relaxing, laid back time to refresh, this is the place. I will definitely return and recommend this place.

Carl and Andrea have done so much work to keep visitors feeling welcome and curious!
With tons of fields, animals, and areas to explore, we didn't get bored once! Our toddler had an absolute blast with all the animals, and we especially enjoyed the guided tour with Andrea. We learned all about the hard work that goes into sustainable farming, and even tasted the difference from their farm store. Seriously, do not miss out on the meat!!

What a fantastic spot — truly a Magical Forest as the name suggests. On my first night I pulled in, set up camp, spent the evening around the fire, and honestly thought I was the only person in the whole park. The next morning, I wandered for a walk and realized there were other campers around, but that’s how private and peaceful it felt.
The woods are absolutely beautiful, opening up to surrounding farmland that makes for some stunning photography. I kept my bird ID app open throughout my stay and was thrilled to record a number of new species.
This campground is the perfect way to get off the beaten path and experience something different from the average provincial park. Quiet, scenic, and full of character — I’ll definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Howeholm Farm
This little cabin is so cute! I especially loved spending time with my family and my dog on the deck taking in the views. We were super comfortable sleeping in the loft and there was lots of room in the lower level for all three adults. Tom was very accommodating with our ever changing plans!

We had a such a great 2 nights at Riverview. David was waiting for us upon arrival, which was great for me and my 2 kids. I recommend the Glamping bundle- we were later arrivals and earlier departure, so it was nice to not have to set up and dismantle a tent. Perfect site for the kids and dog!! Will definitely be back.
