11-14th October 2025, My Experience

5/5 Stars. Truly remarkable David’s land was extremely peaceful and easily accessible. What stood out the most was how quiet and private it felt; you could actually relax and hear nature around you. The property was well kept, and the host was friendly and responsive. There’s plenty of open space for camping, a nice fire pit area, and great views (especially at sunset). Perfect spot if you’re looking to unplug for a bit. Not a Negative, however, this property appears to have high activity of coyotes, located approximately 50 - 100 feet away from Site 2. Coyotes are fairly timid and gutless animals but be cautious if bringing pets and or little ones, as the cries and howls can be a bit overwhelming. Coins in a can is a must-have to startle them peacefully.

Quiet, calm farm

Beautiful location! The host is very hospitable. There is electricity and water hookups. You can bring your rv or tent! There is a little river to canoe or paddle boat on. There are trails to walk all around the property! Overall great time will be back next year for a longer visit! One note, if you're bringing an animal make sure you clean their paws lol the ground has sand mixed with grass.

David’s camp was amazing. I loved my experience and will definetly be coming back. He was kind and helpful. We loved chatting with him and getting g to know him and his history with the land. If you’re thinking about going camping, visit David you won’t regret it.

Fantastic Spot to Camp!!!

David is an excellent host. The sites are exactly as described. The water feature is beautiful with availability of paddleboats, kayaks etc. Sites are well maintained. Would 10/10 recommend to others

Excellent location and amenities!

We spend a weekend at David's property and loved it. The sites are well placed on the property around the pond. There are canoes paddle boats and boards for your use. Ample firewood is included as well as a dozen farm fresh eggs. David was a wonderful host and very attentive to his beautiful property. We had a great time walking on some.of the pathes with our dogs. Also my wife really appreciated the flush toilet in the outhouse! What a great touch. 10/10

Loved it!

Absolutely perfect for our first time using my Old (new to us) pop up trailer. I went with two friends and loved the site. We went on the paddle boat, hiked around the trails, went fishing and relaxed by the fire. David is an Amazing host. His property is gorgeous and he is very welcoming. Can’t wait to go back with friends and family.

Sitting at our campsite and looking at the water was very peaceful. The host David is super friendly. He greets you with a dozen fresh eggs and has your site pre loaded with wood.

The BEST host you will ever find.

The Host David and his Wife made us feel so welcome, this is honestly the best host you wil ever find, we had a small incident with our one year old baby the morning of the last day, not related to the camp site and had to go to the emergency room, after contacting David very early in the morning, he accommodate us by allowing us to check out when we can and not to rush. We will most definitely go back at least once a year. The fishing was a challenge as we arrived on the end of a cold front, but managed to catch some beautiful bass, fish are wery well taken care of amd super healthy. This place is a gem and a must see if you like having a more relaxed and way less crowded camping trip. Thank you David and Family for an unforgettable stay.

Great place to Camp!

This place is absolutely amazing. Lots of space between sites to give some privacy. Sites are well maintained. The flushing toilet was clean and well kept. Dave is one of the most genuinely nice people I’ve come across. He gave us a dozen farm fresh eggs on arrival and a run down of how the place came into existence. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know and will be saving it as a destination for the future.

Always a great time. Knows all the bird types, fully stocked pond with many different types of boats, clean and well kept, super friendly host who is becoming a friend we go so often! Only time there is a problem is the last day because our trip is over!

We had such a wonderful experience staying at Kubassek’s Water Front Retreat (Site 3 – Water Front Retreat) with David as our host. From the very beginning, David was welcoming, responsive, and genuinely made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The site itself is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, right on the water, and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. We especially appreciated the little touches that made it feel like a true retreat. David went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us great tips about the area. His hospitality really stood out and made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic, and well-hosted waterfront stay. We’ll definitely be coming back again next year!

Beautiful Spot.

David is a wonderful host. His property is very unique and beautiful. At site #5, we had a great view of the property and the pond. There are trails in behind and a runway to explore. Nights are quiet with very little light polution. The toilet is shared but is fully functional. Most sites that I saw had power and water.

Kids and I had a great time. My 5 and 10 year olds explored the vintage airplanes and said high to the cows and calves on the farm. David upgraded our location for free to a spot with 30Amp connections.

What a great place to camp. Water is a perfect temperature, supplied firewood and pits right by the water. The host is pleasant to talk with and then gives you your freedom. Kayaks and boats are free to use and there’s nice scenery to look at

This was me and my girlfriend’s first camping trip together, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! David’s property is truly wonderful—peaceful, well-maintained, and full of thoughtful touches. We loved the complimentary farm-fresh eggs and had a blast exploring on the pedal boat. The bathrooms were spotless, well-stocked (extra toilet paper is always a win!), and clearly cared for. The entire campsite was beautifully kept, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. Highly recommend!

This was our 2nd stay and it was GREAT!! Site 5 is amazing...lots of sun and lots of privacy. We caught lots of fish, had a great canoe ride and highly recommend booking here! Also tried some great food spots nearby- Willibald brewery and Longhorn Smokehouse food truck. Can't wait to go back! Thanks again for the eggs and a wonderful stay
