The site was absolutely breathtaking! The view was so incredible, the site itself was perfectly maintained and carved out amongst their beautiful property. Hearing the splashing waves from the lake with all the other natural sounds was so relaxing. Our host was extremely helpful and friendly, and they made sure we had everything we needed including firewood before they left us to our privacy! We drove almost 3 hours from our home to stay here for 1 night and it was so so worth it, we really hope we can come stay again some time. We can’t get over the beautiful and private space we were able to enjoy!

Nice large sites, Rechelle and son RJ did their best to ensure it was clean and were helpful. I would recommend to a friend or family member, and would like to return. Only downfall is no electricity hookups so it will be a good idea to bring an inverter for anything you need powered.

I was a bit hesitant to go to this campground because of the reviews and some bad experiences with private campgrounds in the past. This one far exceeded our expectations. The hosts were very accommodating and well organized, and their property is beautiful. The campsite was easily accessible, and the hike to the beach was long but well worth the effort. We loved the stay there but another group of campers were playing loud music till after midnight. We ended up calling Rechelle and she promptly addressed the issue. The firewood was plenty and they also filled up our gallon and got it to us. 10/10 for this campground.

We had a wonderful time at the campsite! My friends and I really enjoyed our stay – the view was absolutely beautiful, with a quiet and clean beach that made the experience even more relaxing. Rechelle was incredibly helpful and kind, assisting us with everything we needed. We truly appreciate the hospitality and would love to come back again. Highly recommended!

This is a great place to tent camp. There are two sites that you can drive to and the rest of them you will have to carry your stuff. We stayed in a site that we could drive to, during a heat wave. It was roasting during the day. There's a pretty steady breeze so we were comfortable at night. For the sites you will have to walk to I'd recomend taking as little as you can get by with. It's a steep climb down to the foot bridge and a steep climb back up the other side. But, if you pack right it's a really beautiful place to camp. The notes say you need to pack in your own fresh water. It's the gospel truth. Since it was hot we needed to use our little shower so, we ran low on water. But, we drove into a nearby village named Rodney and bought some drinking water. We were fine. In cooler weather this would have been an amazing place to camp for us. If you like being away from the world and want to slow your pace down some this is a great choice. The lady and son that run the place were super nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this campground. The waterfront is gorgeous. Our site had a garbage can and a firepit.

This place is truly wonderful if you are looking for a private spot with a beautiful view of the sea. The owner is an amazing lady—very kind, responsible, and attentive. This was our second time visiting, and we truly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended!

Couldn’t use the site. Directions unclear, hidden entrance, no visible 911 sign, and road full of potholes. Contacted host from 9 AM with no reply until after 1:30 PM - after we’d already left to find other accommodations. No one was there on arrival. We waited 15 minutes. Refund only given after escalation. Poor communication and access.

We booked this campsite for 2 nights, expecting peace and relaxation. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. On the second evening, we politely asked the owner if he could request other campers to turn off their loud music after 11 pm, as it was disturbing our peace.
To our shock, the owner was heavily drunk, completely unprofessional, and not in his senses. Instead of addressing the concern, he treated us rudely and became aggressive — even pushing my friends. This behavior was totally unacceptable and made us feel unsafe.
A campsite should be a place to unwind, but here, the owner’s behavior ruined our trip. We will never return and cannot recommend this place to anyone who values respect, safety, and professionalism.

The experience was one of the best I've had so far in all of my camping trips. The owners were so kind and helpful throughout. They made it so memorable in the end with some fireworks while enjoying the campfire on the beach! Would definitely go again!

We were having a great time until a group of campers decided to party at 1 am with loud music and noise. Next day I approached the host about the same. It was around 9:30 pm and it was dark. He was fully drunk at the moment and said I was lying. He told me to come closer which I of course denied. He then told me to turn off the flashlight which I said I wasn’t comfortable doing. I got scared and called my partner who immediately rushed to the scene to see what’s happening. The owner got aggressive and started abusing us. My partner tried to calm him down. He left for the moment but came back with a weapon and a friend. He attacked my partner, he punched him in the face and then threw his shoe at him, which I have a video proof for. He told us to leave his private property. At this point, the time was 11pm. Concerned about our safety, we immediately called the cops. We met the officer outside his “private property”. We had an option to press charges for assault and attack, however thinking about our safety we left. We never heard back from the host, forget about any refund, they never apologised for the discrimination and harassment we had to go through.

If you want to go to a place that depicts true nature at its finest, this is the place to be. Rob and Rosanna were the most amazing hosts I have met in my 20 years of camping experience. The site was spectacular, covered with trees and secluded with amazing views of the lake and the beach.
Afternoon breeze to the stargazing at night, everything felt surreal.
Thank you for offering piece of your paradise for our amusement and the fresh catch of the day and most amazing fireworks just for the campers entertainment..

My friends and I had a great time at this campsite! The site was clean, and our hosts checked in often to make sure we had firewood and that our trash would get taken away. Being close to the beach was a huge plus, very private and good fishing!

Great camping trip with 10 friends! We had 3 tents set up near a beautifully managed spot just steps from beach. The water was nice, though the beach had lot of pebbles-so not your usual sand type. They also helped us transport (via cart) our luggage from parking area to camping spot. The camp area was super clean with well placed dustbins. Overall, a fun, hassle-free experience.

This was such a beautiful camping spot! To be surrounded by woods but so close to the water where you could hear the waves crashing at night was so peaceful. Rechelle was so helpful with our stuff, which we appreciated so much. We will definitely be back.

We loved that it was a private beach. There were no other campers, we had the place to ourselves, it was so nice. Great view. The only thing was there were no trees or umbrellas for shade and we got really burnt.

Site 1 - Overnight Parking
There seems to be some confusion here between ‘parking’ and ‘camping’. Parking an rv for the night and sleeping in it, as one would expect to do at a HipCamp, is essentially camping. But this HipCamp believes that some people might want to just park their RV on a small space just off the main road for the night as something people would want to do for $45. But for $80 you can camp here. About a mile up a rough road you can arrive al an area where you can camp. Camp means parking your RV and sleeping in it. Kinda the aame as what you would do in this HipCamps parking area for $45. Weird. We errantly drove past the $45 parking area expecting to arrive in a camping area. Not so. We arrived in a parking lot where we could camp. Now totally confused we stayed put for the night. Aside from my complaining it’s a beautiful place. In the distance from the parking lot there is a beautiful view of lake ST. Clair and sunset. But from the parking area where we camped it was a rugged hike to the beach. There were numerous tent camping groups there. It seems to be a popular tent camping area. The hosts were friendly and helpful - allowing us to “camp” in the “parking” area. Their son RJ was great and used his ATV to bring us firewood. We noticed he was using the atv to help transport tent campers gear down to their campsites.
Synopsis: this is a beautiful place for tent campers but completely unsuitable for RVs of any size. .

This piece of land is magical. It’s such a beautiful lakefront property with gorgeous views. At night in the woods it’s filled with fireflies. Rechelle and her family run the campsite and are very helpful. We stayed in the more private site in the forest which was really lovely for my group of eight adults and one dog. The hike in isn’t for the faint of heart though - it’s a real trek to get there because it’s uphill. The family help bring things as far as the ATV can get then it’s all muscle, baby! We didn’t regret taking this site because of the privacy but the distance was a slog, and it’s far from the porta-potty. Would stay here again for sure. The beach is very nice, the fields are picturesque and communication great.

Had a great time on Lake Erie! Beautiful view, really nice beach to swim and wonderful place to bring the dogs. The hosts were extremely helpful, providing firewood and providing a very clean site! The cliffside site definitely has the best view!
