We really enjoyed being off grid in this beautiful private forest with no one else around. Our dog absolutely loved running off leash!
The access path is tight for anything larger than a standard car. You will likely have branches scraping your vehicle.
Once you reach the end of the path turn right and you will find a peaceful rustic outdoor adventure.
We would love to camp here again. It was exactly what we were looking for with our dog.
Car camping here was a breeze - the ground was very soft, it would be excellent for tents too! It feels very private being tucked away in a small wood between the country backyards and the farm fields, and the birdsong was especially wonderful in the morning. Only one word of caution - the lane we drove in on had a lot of ATV action at one point (it seems like it's shared with another property), and we were glad we'd pulled our car in all the way before they rounded the corner!
Lots of trees and room for the dogs to run. Property lines for the roadside houses are clear but it's a bit unclear where this property ends. There are some nice spaces to set up and some very pretty meadows. You can hear some noise from neighbouring property but the space is completely private.
We enjoyed our stay at Pine Forest. The roads are a bit tight but it opens up at the back to a decent size area to camp. Just trees and land a very nice quiet peaceful place to camp. I do have a fairly extensive set up even rough camping. There was plenty of room for everything.
Quiet location. A few simple signs would be a great addition, showing where some good spots are.. we set up under the pines on one of the "roads". My small car had no problem fitting down the paths, but not sure a minivan would fit.
Nice area, very few bugs while we were there..
I enjoyed camping on this beautiful property
Lots of deer in the meadows and was very private
I could not find a campsite on the property so I explored and found a spot near the north east corner I could settle down in
The access to property is tight and recommend parking on the main path the trails are tight
I highly recommend this camp
Very basic camp site as indicated. Unfortunately there was no communication with the host and the camp site was not clearly indicated nor was there any reception on site. As such we were not even sure if we were camping on the actual property or on a neighbouring property.
It was absolutely beautiful! A bit hard to get through if you're worried about your vehicle (if you're going to the far back corner that we went to), the pines and trees are absolutely magical.
The spot we stayed at was stunning, the forest walks are astounding. You're completely secluded (if you stay in the far back), it's really quite beautiful!! 10/10 would stay again!
Beautiful property it was a good first camping trip threw this app my 4 door jeep jk with a roof top tent fit perfectly back their and lots of wildlife seen lots of deer some raccoons and even a couple of foxes very beautiful property highly recommended.
I quite enjoyed camping in the Pine Forest Rechelle has curated. While the site may lack many amenities that many campers are getting used to these days, it has what is needed most; a quiet spot to set up your camp and enjoy nature. While you aren't so far out in the wilderness, you will have ample room from neighboring distractions. A short drive from the site are some small towns with restaurants and the beautiful beaches on Lake Erie at Port Bruce. Given these positives, I can recommend Rechelle's site for the hearty camper who is best on their own.
Amazing place, and the hosts are hospitable, friendly, and kind. Very responsive too! Rob and his family really bring back the authentic camping experience, with some nice extra features. Definitely coming back there
Amazing camping gem !! They’ve done such a good job of creating a Lake Erie oasis , the camping spots are very private from each other and the beach is just as private even if every campsite is down at the same time! Can’t wait to go back and show my family and friends this place !
