We recommend that you park on the upper portion of this driveway/road and walk or use an ATV to travel on the trail to the lake. As mentioned, there is about a 40 ft incline just as you approach the clearing down by the lake . Please wear running/walking shoes and descend slowly down either of the 2 trails provided. Follow the gravel walkway/road down (5 min walk) to your amazing private dock situated on Howes Lake, Verona Ontario. This property provides privacy and solitude for nature lovers. The designated RV parking spot is up near the main road along with a very nice outhouse but if you decide to tent camp, there are a few choices that would bring you closer to the water's edge. An additional outhouse is located at the top of the incline to the lake.
The gravel/asphalt trail down by the lake is the steeper of the 2 trails. Choose the "Easy Street" trail off to your right after you pass the stop sign indicating that no vehicles should drive beyond. This trail is a bit longer but a much more gradual incline.
Grocery shopping, nature trails, etc are just a few minutes away. The scenic town of Westport is a 30 min drive away with amazing shops and a local winery.

Hemlock Point Campground is set on a private waterway fed by the Black River, nestled among forests and rocky ridges. As well as using the canoe (or kayaks at Brookside) provided, campers are also welcome to hike the marked and groomed waterfront hiking trails throughout the 56 acre property, and just down the road is Mt. Moriah, a Buddhist Temple, and numerous backcountry trails, reserves, and lakes. ATV's are permitted on the road, (gateway to trails to Lingham, Deer Rock, Caniff, and Skootamatta Lakes) and friendly dogs are welcome off leash. This is a unique gelogical landscape, situated between Mt. Moriah, the Elzevir pluton complex and the Black River in an ultramafic zone, with coloured quartz veins and pillowed granite outcroppings. Mixed forest with varied species of deciduous and conifer trees - due to aerial seeding after a forest fire over 80 years ago, leaving charred stumps that can still be found from natural char preservation. Home to pileated woodpeckers, hawks, eagles and kingfishers, otters, fishers, salamanders, bass and bullhead and everything in between, either from the vantage of a hammock or on a hike in the forest this natural site won't disappoint.

If you want privacy and seclusion this is your place . Our family lives on 80 acres 8 minutes from the town of Campbellford. We are on a dead end road out in the country. Upon arrival simply turn into our driveway and drive right past our house following the dirt path. Turn left just down the hill to the River.
We are located on Bradley Bay on the Trent river with kms of lock free boating between Percy Boom and Glen Ross . We are located across from an island called Anderson island. Pike, pickeral, bass , Muskie ,channel cat ,and pan fish are in these waters.
Our point is very private with plenty of birds and wild life to watch .
We have one of our trails marked clearly threw out the woods for you to enjoy .
We have a complementary canoe, 2 adult kayak, 2 adult SUP and 1 child’s kayaks . Life jackets and boat safety kits are also available . On the point we have a small fire pit and 2 docks.
1 of the docks face the river and one is up our little lagoon . A wonderful place for adults and children alike to fish , swim , relax and catch frogs and fire flies.
The point is a long narrow grassy area. There are about 3 spots you could park a trailer . We think currently the max length would be a 24 foot trailer we could accommodate until we are able to open up the area a bit more.
A small fishing boat about 14 foot and under could be launched at our water entry otherwise the closest public launch is about 5 minutes down the road .
If we plan it ahead we have water from our well from a hose available. We are happy to let you fill your trailer up with water from our house hose on the way down to the point or any jugs you may have.
Otherwise Ferris Provincial Park is about 7 minutes away. There is a water filling station and dumping station there for a small fee from the park.
Things to do In area is the well known suspension bridge located in Campbellford. Doohers bakery and the Empire Cheese Factory and Chocolate Factory all within 10 minutes from our house . We also have local Breweries in the area, one being about 8 minutes away called the Fogorig Brewing.
Campbellford is full of little shops and stores.
It’s a beautiful walk back towards our house and down the laneway to the road as well. Great quiet country road for children and adults alike to go for a bike ride or walk along the road beside farmers fields where usually deer and sandhill cranes are seen.
We usually touch base with our campers a week or so before there arrival date to give exact directions to our house via Hipcamp message.
Upon arrival if arranged ahead of time we can be here to meet and greet you and ensure you are settled in. Otherwise there isn't a guarantee we will be at the property upon arrival but we can ensure that we will always have someone by phone for you to reach if need be at all times.

Welcome to our romantic off-grid retreat nestled between the picturesque towns of Perth and Westport! Tucked away in a beautiful 23-acre wooded property, our vintage caravan offers a cozy and charming escape for solos, girls retreat or couples seeking a romantic getaway.
Surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil walking trails, our boho-chic caravan boasts plenty of south-facing light, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you prefer basking in the sunlight or seeking shade under the canopy of trees or the hammock, you'll find the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The stars and sky at night are literally awesome and amazing.
For families looking to join in on the adventure, there's ample room to pitch extra tents on our expansive property, allowing everyone to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.
While our retreat offers a private setting, the main house is within sight, providing a sense of security and convenience. Nearby, a multi-purpose rail trail beckons outdoor enthusiasts, offering opportunities for hiking, cycling, or exploring nature.
The beautiful town of Perth is a 15 minute drive away with Saturday morning market, cute mainstreet shopping or Stewart Park Festival in July as well as access to provincial parks or lakes and rivers within a 10 minute drive.

Our amenities cater to your comfort and convenience, a pump faucet for washing and a propane stove for cooking delicious meals, a power pack to charge your phone, solar and USB lighting. A fire pit area awaits, wood can be purchased ($10 - 5pc + kindling) at the site for cozy evenings under the stars.
A library/art gallery/outhouse in the woods is a fun place to experience when nature calls.
Wake up in the morning, make coffee or tea to start your next days adventure.

This property provides great access to a secluded level campsite surrounded by mature hardwoods and white pine, overlooking Fagan Lake. There is an outhouse and firepit on-site, with firewood included (please don't bring your own firewood). Supplied Adirondack and other lawn chairs will really make your campfires special! Pets on leash are welcome. Tents, camper trailers and RVs up to 20 feet are welcome. This is a level pull-in site.
There is a covered post-and-beam picnic shelter on site for rainy days. A supplied BBQ, a large kitchen prep table, and a small round dining table complete the "glamping" feel. There's always a full 18 litre jug of drinking water on site, although we recommend that you also bring your own water.
Access to a secluded lake which is about 2.5 km x 0.5 km in size, and connected to Bennett Lake by the Fall River. The lake is rugged and remote - only 8 cottages on the whole lake. Swimming off the dock, or paddle over to the jumping rocks across the lake. Bring your canoe or kayak and explore the lake and wetlands. Or bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the backroads. This property is in the heart of Lanark County, with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and a nice sand beach at Silver Lake Provincial park 10 minutes away. We're not far from Murphy's Point and Sharbot Lake PP as well.
If you like dark skies and quiet woods and going to bed listening to frogs and barred owls, or waking up with the woodland birds, this is the place. No artificial lights here, and you can see the Milky Way clearly on a dark night.

Open, grassy spot. Lots of room for us to situate the trailer and setup the way we wanted. No firepit, but Craig delivered a picnic table right to us. Close walk to the brewery which had great beer, food, and an awesome band for live music. We will come back! Thanks Craig!

Very adorable campground/trailer park. Monica was helpful and friendly. We got site 50 which was right on the water and directly beside the beach so it allowed our kids to play at the park and we could be cooking on our site with a clear view of them. Nice swimming off the dock and everyone was very friendly. This was our second year there.

We really enjoyed the campsite and the overall park was great. From the trails to the dog park, fishing dock, beach area, and clean amenities, the park was well maintained and easy to get around. The host, Monica is fabulous! She is incredibly welcoming and very guest focused - we loved our trip so much that we are likely getting a seasonal site to enjoy the park all season long! The park is very dog friendly, which was a bonus for us and our furry family member. Highly recommend the park for its super homey atmosphere and hidden gems when you're out for an adventure!

We absolutely loved our stay. Tiny Woodland has it all and is super inclusive for families and pets. The weather was perfect for swimming and we enjoyed the beach and swimming area thoroughly.
You can tell the love the staff puts into making sure you have a great experience (clean, beautiful landscaping). I loved the quiet evenings and watching the fireflies by the water. We will be coming back again!
