I was looking for a space in nature to take time for myself and connect with my soul and I saw Natalie’s listing and my heart said yes. I was so glad I did, I received what I needed and more! The healing and soothing sounds of the waters, the warmth and purification of the fires and the beautiful forests with an amazing host, made this experience extra special. If you are looking to fill your cup up, this is a place to retreat to. Natalie will go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need to be able enjoy your stay.

This place is gorgeous and absolutely magical! The campsite is definitely a step up from regular camping, with a wooden tent platform, a BBQ, and a little table to eat at. Very well maintained and clean, with everything you need - and access to an indoor bathroom! It's just a short walk to a beautiful lake, and there are a number of hiking trails as well. The host, Victor, was incredibly gracious and communicative - he met us there, showed us around, and made sure we had everything we needed. This was a fantastic experience and I'll certainly be back!

My Fiancé & I loved our rainy Saturday night stay at Jack’s Cabin! Malissa & Corey were very helpful - Corey gave us a lift back to the cabin; the rain had made the trail a smidge mucky. They also answered any questions we had very promptly. The cabin was clean, quaint and homey - complete with a wicked selection of DVD’s, board games, puzzles and a few different books to read. If you’re looking for a romantic night away with your loved one, Jack’s is the way to go! We’re sure to return.

Weekend Trip to Glampanee

It is such a.peaceful and quiet place to reflect and rejuvenate. My husband and I had a wonderful time.

This was such a great winter getaway! Malissa and Cory’s cabin was literally perfect for us. Our dogs absolutely loved exploring the trail and woods around the cabin. While it was on the hosts property, we felt like we had our own private, safe space. The cabin itself was cozy and had all the amenities we needed. And if we did need anything, Cory was just a text away to bring us what we needed. We will be coming back for sure. Highly recommend if you love roughing it a bit*

We had a great time at Jack’s cabin! It was the perfect place for a winter getaway with our pups. The property is awesome with a nice little trail loop to walk. Although the cabin is on the hosts property, it is set far back and was very private. The bed was comfortable and we really enjoyed firing up the water of stove and throwing in some nostalgic DVDs at night. Great hosts that were available when needed. We would come back for sure!

My partner and I absolutely loved staying at Jack's Cabin. My little dog loved the trails and the wood burning stove kept us so cozy and warm. The cabin was well stocked and Malissa was very responsive when we needed some extra kindling. Can't wait to stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Jack’s. It’s so cozy and beautiful. The woodstove was our favourite part of the cabin and it kept it so warm! There is a walking trail around the property and it’s very calm and quiet! It’s the perfect winter getaway!

Beautiful, cozy cabin with all the amenities. Clean, beautifully decorated and maintained. Tons of firewood to keep warm. Love the dvds, books, games, guitar in the cabin. Hosts are close by if needed. Location is so close to a few towns if you need groceries. Very easy to find. Can't wait to come again!

If you’re a newbie to “off grid” cabins, I’d definitely recommend this one! They have many features that make it feel at home rather than camping. The cabin is tucked in on their property so you can easily get items from Malissa who is very responsive. Unfortunately didn’t get a chance to explore the trails but love that they offered them.

7 acres of field, forest, pond, waterfall, rapids, swimming hole! There are no bad views! Sit by the pond, sit by the creek, sit in the waterfall, sit out at Blueberry Hill for a pleasant breeze or up on SunStar Ridge for some nightly star gazing or lay back in a hammock or on zero gravity chair 1 Bunkie on a hill overlooking the pond and 2 private tent sites, one at Boot Hill and one in the Field of Dreams. Each site has a fire pit and a compostable toilet and there is an outhouse on the property for the bunkie. Great for canoes, kayaks, bird and wildlife watching with spectacular star gazing. This property was part of an old homestead and as such I am still finding things so please respect the caution tape and stay on the marked trails. Some are treasures (European Grapes, Bergamot, French Roses, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Ramps, Fiddle-heads) and others not so much. I am re purposing what I can and collecting the rest for disposal as I nurture this land back to what it was meant to be, paradise. There is an outdoor shower available as well. Black Maple Farm

For the last 26 years we have lived here on our 6 acres of property where our Maple Sugar Bush allows us to produce our very own maple syrup every spring. [Side note: The sugar shack itself has been on the property for over 40 years.] We also raise a small but varied collection of farm animals, grow vegetables, and operate a small Market Booth that sells handmade "Canadian Themed" Home Decor goods and Maple Products at the Frontenac Farmer's Market. ( Visit us on Instagram or Facebook @Blackmaplefarm) Our Farm is located on the very edge of the Canadian Shield, so most of the landscape is a rocky, rugged, and naturally wooded. Throughout the property are numerous short, looping, walking trails that meander throughout the Sugar bush, pasture area, 3 season pond, and our farm animal "homes". These trails are perfect for short nature walks, where you'll experience natural wildflowers and plants, see and hear song birds, small animal wildlife and of course, farm life too. Our varied collection of farm animals includes; lots of chickens, (including roosters who DO crow in the early morning hours), miniature goats, horses, a couple of barn cats, and a dog.
