I bought this magical property 13 years ago and I have developed it from beach to mountain with the idea of sharing it with epic humans since day 1.
It is 1 acre of pure natural and artistic bliss. The natural wonders include a massive beach with space for many, a gigantic sling shot, sweet fire pits, comfortable lawn chairs, paddle boards, kayaks, a cedar strip canoe, and many other toys free for you to explore. Please note that the Beach house guests have priority of the Gazebo but there are many spots/tables and parasols set up to enjoy all other spots on the beach.
My property has 2 rentals on it, the other is right on the beach called "Sweet beach house-edge of the water", in case you wanted to book both locations. There are also a couple of sites for extra guests to pitch a tent on for a fee.
Its like jurassic park here...very tropical and chill. The artful camper boasts of an outdoor spa and deck, BBQ, mini fridge, fantastic lake and mountain views and access to the beach from 9am-8pm. The other rental a.k.a. The beach-house comes with an attached outdoor 1950's style kitchen, oudoor on demand shower, outhouse, fire pits, lawn chairs, and free use of water vessels. It is located steps from the water. Truly magical.

The cabin in incredible but the outdoor 1950’s inspired kitchen will blow your mind. Stocked with the means to make a gourmet meal, you will want to use more than just the BBQ.

There are 4 paddle boards, 1 kayak and a vintage cedar strip canoe available for all guests. There are 2 rentals on the property so be expected to share the water vessels. The spacious beach has enough zones supplied with chairs and parasols for all to privately enjoy. Guests and myself having access from 9am-8pm.

Please do not bring plastic water bottles. The water here is divine.
Firewood is not provided. You can easily pick up bundles enroute at gas stations or at our local Lakeview store located 5 mIn north.

There is no electricity at the bus, bring your headlamp.
A private Outhouse is near the bus, a hot outdoor shower as well.
We do have excellent cell reception but we do not offer Internet access, if you have data on your phone you will have internet.
Slocan Lake and Silverton an be accessed in 5 min, there you find ICE,a laundromat, cafes, a grocery/ health food store and of course Slocan Lake.
A 10 min drive gets you to New Denver, a beautiful mountain town with access to endless world class Mountain biking ,hhiking trails and mountaineering opportunities, and whatever activities on the water. We had a wonderful few days at Monica's campsite. The directions were great and easy to follow. Which helped tremendously since it was already dark when we got there. The site was peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed falling asleep listening to the nearby creek. The flattened clearing was a nice change. Much cleaner area to camp at than gravel/sand. Our trailer was too big to drive through the trees (27 ft plus the truck) so we turned around and backed into the site. That worked. Lol. Great location. Very scenic. Even the town of Nukusp was beautiful to visit and just a short drive away. And the Nakusp Hot Springs were a welcome treat. Monica was a fantastic hostess. Really nice lady. Provided us with some lovely daytrip ideas in the area, like a nearby waterfall. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed staying on Kait's land. They were very accommodating and we're able to upgrade us to a site where we could park next to our camp. Beach and dock were great! Enjoyed swimming and hanging out on the dock.

This is such a great camping site and I am almost reluctant of saying too much here as I don’t want this place to be crowded for the next times :) I cannot recommend more enough this camping, family oriented or nature lover or both, this is where you have to be.

We were greeted by Kait and her partner who were very welcoming and super laid back. The location couldn’t be better. You’re a 1 minute walk to the beach and half way to Nelson, Kalso and hiking or waterfall adventures. Flush toilets and a washing station for your cooking are only a few steps away. The firewood bundle they sell lasts a long time. I will note the site is not very private as your neighbours on both sides are separated by a rocks and sparse trees. So if you’re ok with less privacy it is a gem of a spot.

Todd reviewed a few things to enjoy in the area, including kayaking on a nearby lake and some of the views to see, and local off-grid areas, including an abandoned mine in the area. He is a wonderful person as he explained the edible berries and reviewed his local community with me. He was attentive to your needs.

The space Todd set up for Bear Flats is fantastic. He was an exceptional host, showing us around the property, pointing out berry bushes we could pick, and he laid out a campfire with wood. (Unfortunately it rained) it’s an excellent secluded and quiet space, but very close to the lake for kayaking. I’ll definitely come back again next summer!

Second time staying here and it’s even better than the first! Todd our host is super sweet and goes out of his way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. He’s also very knowledgeable about the local area and can recommend sights and places to go. There was a fire pit stocked with wood and adirondack chairs surrounding it. There’s a lake not far where you can kayak and overall the property is beautiful and so quite. Definitely recommend and we’ll be back next year hopefully for a longer stay and will look forward to using the outdoor shower currently under construction!
