Perfect location!!! Dream-like setting! Says 30 amp but I believe it’s 50 so than was a bonus. Even people staying at the resort lodge thought we had it made in our spot!
We found Barbara’s Place while looking for a stop on our way south. The springs are directly next to the site, easy with kids.
Barbara was helpful with questions about location and converter.
Fully recommend
The lot is perfect if you are visiting the area and just need a relatively quiet and private place to camp. Barbara is a great host and super accomodating and cummunicative. It is literally right next door to the hot springs resort. Highly recommend.
Great stay here. Nice and close to the hot springs and the hookups were greatly appreciated. Would stay here again and Barbara was great with any questions I had. Thanks!
Barbara’s site was perfect. Beautiful views with the Ainsworth Hot Springs right next door where I had dinner. I ate bannock for the first time. The next day we took the ferry across Kootenay Lake. What an amazing way to start the day!
Nice spot behind small museum and right next to the Ainsworth hot springs. Hookups, no potable water. Very accommodating hostess replies quickly to messages.
We never found Barbara's place in Ainsworth, b.c. Unfortunately, when we found we were unable to locate her, we had no cell service with which to call her. We asked several locals about her site and nobody seemed to know about her.
In all fairness, I have to say that previous contact with the host was very amiable and we wish her success. I did suggest a sign would be helpful.
