Flyway Farm: '63 Esta Villa Trailer
Very cozy area with many cute goats and chickens. Only downside is its right by train tracks that can get a bit noisy. Besides that the owner was very lovely and gave us a bundle of onions/garlic on our way out.

We stayed 6 nights at this HipCamp allowing access to Banff and Kootenay National Parks. We loved it. Inquisitive goats, chickens providing eggs, a Farm Dog (Junpier) that looked overjoyed to see us when we returned from a day out. Crown land is near-by, so we took a tent and so overnighted, for one night, away from our Trailer. Very hospitable and welcoming host, great communication before we arrived and advice when we did. It's close to a railway crossing so you get the occasional whistle blast - which we liked - and we had 15 amp power provided by the host which wasn't expected but welcome.

We loved the entire experience! Bernie was an amazing host and made the stay very special for us. He also made us the BEST omelet we've ever had - no joke! The property was beautiful and the trailer was super cozy with great mountain views right beside the bed. There were adorable goats, chickens and dogs too! We had everything we needed in the shared kitchen to make our meals and enjoy the host's company. All in all, we would not change a thing! Perfect little getaway.

Staying at the historic post office exceeded my expectations. Most of the fixtures of the working post office were still there: the mailboxes, the sorting table, the customer counter, the wood stove.
The accommodations are a bed for one, and a bed for two.
As it was a public building it does face the highway, and the railroad, but it was not too noisy. It faces a view of beautiful crown land and I enjoyed watching the trains go by.
The property has many beautiful views and quiet places to sit and be reflective. I was also entertained by the frolicking goats and chickens and one sassy rooster.
The location is great for accessing local hikes and the Radium Hot Springs.
If you are driving through the Kooteneys to get to Flyway note that there is no cell phone service on that part of the drive, but the service is good at Flyway and wifi is available.

We had a lovely stay in the little trailer on Flyaway Farm. The trailer was small and cute and everything we needed, with bathroom and kitchen available at the nearby farm house. Bernie and Patty are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome!
The baby goats are adorable, and there were also baby chicks, which were just the cutest things! All the animals and humans on this farm were an absolute pleasure to meet, I hope we can come back soon.

We had a lovely three-night stay on our way to Banff. Pattie and Bernie were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. They were always on hand to give us tips on local sights, places to eat, and nearby walks. My two kids love their dogs, chickens and goats, including the highlight story with Joe, the goat :-)
They also run the Spilli Station Café, offering fresh and organic food straight from their garden. We tried the breakfast and their peanut butter cake... yummy!
If you are looking for somewhere to stay on your way to the Rockies, Radium hot springs, and nearby Kootenay national park etc, I would highly recommend staying at their farm. Thank you again for such a lovely stay - hopefully, we will be back again soon!

The location was excellent -far enough from Banff and Yoho to get away from the tourism, but close to The Kootenays. The hosts were warm and helpful- gave us ideas for what to see and hike. Loved the farm and garden! Overall a wonderful experience!

What an amazing place to stay. Such beautiful surroundings and a wonderful fire pit to use too. Patty and Bernie were generous hosts and very welcoming. Watching the baby goats was a treat, and the dogs were so friendly. A perfect couple of days of peace and beauty. Thank you!

Had a little difficulty with the directions, enter through the gate before the willow tree not after. Bring everything you need as the trailer is empty , bedding included though. It was nice to be able to have a fire. Would’ve really appreciated an outhouse for bathroom trips in the middle of the night. Be aware it’s directly across from the train tracks. Bring really good ear plugs if you don’t want to be woken multiple times in the night.
The view was spectacular and the baby goats were adorable

I love the little vintage trailer and Patricia is really helpful and nice. Just some stuff like lock in washroom will be really good and safe. I will love to comeback. We got the chance to see the baby goats which makes my daughter really happy.

I can NOT say enough good things about this property and the hosts. Not only are the views from every spot on the farm absolutely gorgeous, but Patti and her husband are warm, engaging and interesting people who you can easily got lost in a conversation with. The trailer was a really cool blast-from-the-past stay, with a comfortable bed and good refuge from a chilly night. Not far from Radium Hotsprings either, which is also a plus. This is an absolute MUST BOOK spot if you're planning on coming to the Spillimacheen/Radium Hotsprings area. Thank you for everything Patti!

This place is amazing! As a farm-turned-city girl, the sounds of chickens and goats were nostalgic and welcome throughout the stay. The hosts were very friendly and the site was unbeatable. The views of fields and mountains right from the tent were amazing! The location of the farm was also great for day trips to Radium Hot Springs and Golden, though you are going to want to plan to relax at the farm as well as it is such a beautiful spot!

Composite is awesome. Made friends with hosts. They will provide you everything need. You have access to kitchen restrooms 24 hours. Columbia river is very close to property. Camping sites are in shade so you are fine when it’s hot and sunny. I am sure I will be back.

very peaceful place to stay and all animals are so fun to watch, very lucky get to see the baby sheeps. The dogs are so adorable, friendly and beautiful. My son was so excited to find an egg where the hen laid at a random place, the hosts make you feel at home and would come back sometime next year!

The beds are firm but comfortable and the site is lovely - the forest is great, the goats and chickens and dogs were a huge hit with the kids, the firepit got a lot of use, too. Definitely will be back.

1950s Canada Post Office
Both beds were comfy, and the living room area was cozy and functional! We appreciated the full-size fridge and the storage space, too. It's a really lovely, welcoming place to stay and we will definitely be back. (We booked both rvs and the post office for a family trip - all of them were great!)

I a pent three nights in the trailer and the whole experience was extraordinary from the hospitality and help of the hosts, seeing the animals (the dogs were my favourite), and having camp fires. This is a beautiful spot to camp with mountains, trees, and lakes surrounding the whole area. There’s a waterfall trail just ten minutes away which was a beautiful walk and spectacular sight to see. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone, just being there in nature was therapeutic and I can’t wait to visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay in the trailer. It was a perfect place from which to explore local hikes, as well as Radium and Invermere. Patty and Bernie were very welcoming and easy-going. The goats, chickens, and dogs were all friendly too. I usually tent, but the trailer was a nice upgrade, especially when it rained.

The site is full of incredible views, friendly chickens, goats, dogs and the most accommodating hosts! Patty and Bernie are friendly, warm, and they've done an amazing job bringing beauty back to a historical site. After a long day of sightseeing or in my case riding a motorcycle nothing was better than coming back to the trailer it's so peaceful and quiet nestled underneath the mountains it's a good place to relax. And the host s are always available and always make sure that you are comfortable when you stay there. Excellent spot highly recommended

Amazing spot! The RV is cute and clean when we arrived, with nice views of the mountains just outside. Our host was also super helpful with everything! They did a really good job at making sure we had everything we needed, and making us feel right at home on their land. Being able to hang around the chickens, goats, and dogs during the day are a HUGE plus. We got the firewood bundle, which was worth it. Highly recommended this spot to anybody. Thanks Patricia!
P.S. you can also find the host at the local cafe just down the street and it's worth checking out and ordering a Canadiano!

There are not enough words to describe the serene magic of Flyway Farm. Patty and Bernie are the best of Canada. Every blade of grass and grain of goat feed oozes charm. Revy and Juniper are the best dogs in the world, and I have a dog of my own. The only reason not to stay here is if you hate smiling. We will be moving here post haste. 1000 Stars.

There's so much I could say about spending the past few days with Patti and Bernie, but to sum it up as a whole: staying at Flyaway Farm was the best escape that Brian and I could have ever asked for. Patti and Bernie are incredible, and the land itself is gorgeous. Our trailer was nice and cozy (I do recommend bringing some padding and cozy sleep stuff for optimal comfort), and hanging out with the animals was wonderful. Juniper was our borrowed best friend for the weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone again when we come back!
Thank you so much for everything, and we can't wait to visit again soon!

Patricia and Bernie were very friendly and helpful hosts, staying on their farm was a delight! Even though we visited in the off-season, the trailer and accommodations were cozy and the hosts gave good recommendations for the area. We loved visiting the goats and chickens! We’ll definitely be back.
