Flaggy creek caravan camp is set on a private 260 acre rural property at the end of an unsealed road surrounded by the peace and serenity of state forest. A highlight is a beautiful permanent creek which meanders its way through the property for approximately 1 klm and is habitat to platypus, turtles, an abundance of bird life and towering blue and rose gums. Take a dip on a hot day in one of several water holes including a large lagoon adjacent a mini waterfall surrounded by beautiful she-oaks. The space we only have 3 available campsites all with amazing views and with plenty space two being on the banks of Flaggy creek (Flaggy creek camp 1) Flaggy creek camp 2) and Bluff view, all camp sites have their own fire pit. (Fire season permitting). We do sell large crates of split firewood for $15 or you can collect your own from the property.

We also have a nice running creek that you can take a cooling down soak in or just enjoy watching our many wild life that are present throughout the creek, fish , eels and turtles. It's truly a very private and relaxing spot to chill out and enjoy camping for a few days or whatever suits your needs while passing the area. Plenty of fantastic swimming holes nearby including Josephine falls and Babinda boulders very popular spots for tourist and the locals. Site 1 right down on the creek large grass flat space big enough for two families to set up camp. The creek runs around the outside so there are a number of viewing points to see the wildlife mentioned above. A set of solar lights hang over the firepit area allowing for more light while cooking on our wonderful swinging hotplate BBQ. Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek but still with your own small dirt track down to the creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night. So please check by internal message before confirming your booking that way we can confirm a spot while discussing your needs to ensure you have a clear view of your camping area. Onsite we have our shared outhouse porta toilet which is positioned in the middle of both camping areas for everyone's convenience. Take note of our extras available when confirming your booking. There is an open fire available and plenty of wood to collect. Chicken Run Camp This is a peaceful campsite, with plenty of timber for an open fire, and flat grassy areas. It's a short walk to creek. Chat in the afternoons with the menagerie of animals we have on the farm such as Clydesdale horses, camels, sheep, cows, chickens, peafowl, ducks and friendly geese. Nearby tourist destinations include Chillagoe Caves, Mt Mulligan plus Mareeba those into wine, coffee and spirit tasting as well as the rich history of olden day farming. Two private spots are available a few short meters from the edge of a massive dam with another completely secluded site amongst the bushland. Bird watchers dream with the constant residents such as Pacific Black Ducks, Royal Spoon Bills, Egrets, Plumed Whistling-Ducks, Herons and Plain Turkeys plus seasonal birds flying in for a rest Black Swans, Pelicans, Jabirus, Black Cockatoos and so many more. Swim, kayak, catch and release fish, throw in a RedClaw pot or hunt for muscles clams. Do some hiking or 4 wheel driving around the hundred acres with our 4 wheel driving tracks. Please Note: Waterfront campsite is the only site accessible by 2WD with no trailer. The other campsites are 4WD access only and with off road campers/caravans only. These are self contained sites so please take your own shower and toilet facilities and take away all waste. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be supervised at all times for the protection of the sheep, poultry, wildlife and not to be brought to the house yard. If you looking for the perfect place to relax in nature then this is where you'll find it. Platypus Pool campsite offers a very private spot overlooking the water. We currently only have one site so you will have the place to yourself. The creek borders the Tully Falls National Park with many huge Eucalyptus trees and rainforest species, moss laden logs and fungus galore in the wet. Wildlife ranges from birds, frogs, butterflies, gliders and possums. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There is no reception for phones etc at the site. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided but please check restrictions before lighting a fire. Platypus are regularly seen in the creek and occasionally tree kangaroos visit the property too. We have our own house cow and chooks who are part of the family. Sorry, no pets.

PLEASE NOTE: All campers must be fully self sufficient and bring a portable toilet and take all rubbish with them on departure. Drones and metal detectors are NOT permitted on the property. 25 mins to Mareeba and 30 mins to Atherton. A great place to switch off and recharge those batteries. Pets welcome - dogs can be off lead if well behaved. Due to the seasonal nature of the creek, the camp site will be available from December - May annually.
