If you like camping and staying in something unique Artisans Park is the place for you, If you want a luxurious five star stay we are defiantly not the place our stays are basic and clean. 1949 London Bus, WW2 Army Tower, 1885 Trig Hut Artisans Park is located 45 minutes from Bathurst and is the closest city for food and fuel. We do not have local shops or fuel stations. The London bus is suitable for children as the upper deck houses the bedroom. The lower deck houses the kitchen and bathroom with a front deck complete with barbecue and amazing views. Relax and watch the kangaroos and eagles from your private deck. Summer swimming in the crystal clear river and winter camp fires where you can toast marshmallows. The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. This bus has featured on many TV shows and is often featured in travel magazines, including on Better Homes and Gardens television in 2013 and in many magazines shoots. No pets please. once again no pets including dogs.

In winter put on your coat and take a walk whilst breathing in the fresh, crisp air. In spring, buds burst open and all the trees are covered in beautiful blossoms. The orchard is in the heart of Cabonne Shire, the fruit bowl of Central West NSW. Orange is renowned for its wineries, restaurants and cafes. At our farm stall you can grab a coffee, light lunch and a great variety of local produce including fruit, vegetables, eggs, honey, olive oil and jams. Just minutes away, Mt Canobolas and Lake Canobolas offer great bushwalking and mountain biking and Borenore Caves is amazing for exploring. Or visit one of the many local wineries. Our neighbours at Orange Mountain Estate Wines are less then 100m walk from our camp sites. A visit with them is a perfect way to finish your day and then stroll back to camp. We accept caravans, camper trailers, motorhomes and tents to stay at our property.

Platypus, water dragons and river rats all live in the river. Be prepared to share the site with wombats who have burrowed their homes into the banks. Road access to site is suitable for 2WD in dry weather. It is a short, steep drop with two tight corners not suitable for large caravans and RVs. The site has a newly constructed long drop toilet, pets are allowed and firewood can be foraged around the site but best to bring your own to ensure you have enough. Please take all rubbish with you. Please note: Kids under 12 are free to support young families wanting to experience the bush. Please still add them to the booking as they will not be charged. What is not allowed: shooters and trappers, illegal fishing, motor bikes, quad bikes, chainsaws, and other noisy machines! Killongbutta Road runs off Freemantle Road and is 36 kms from Bathurst. It is 40 kilometres from Orange through Gowan Road that joins Lower Lewis Ponds Road. For your information, On the Stone is a podcast and publishing studio that produces a quarterly magazine for the Freemantle Road community. We have local history to share and can always provide information about our services. Hugging the shoreline of massive Lake Burrendong, this park offers sweeping views of the human-made reservoir and is a popular base camp for watersports like sailing, canoeing, and water skiing. The Reflections Holiday and Caravan Park has two different locations within the park and a range of camping options. Hipcampers seeking creature comforts can stay in air-conditioned cabins, while those who want a back-to-basics bush experience can opt for powered or unpowered sites, many with lake and dam vistas. Kids love the playground and waterslide, and adults can play, too, at the nine-hole golf course.

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. Book cabins and campsites online at the Reflections Holiday Parks website.
  2. Summer holidays and Easter weekend tend to be the busiest times, so book well in advance to guarantee a spot.
  3. If you’re too late, join the holiday waitlist online to be notified in case a space opens up.

When to go

Summer is the best time to enjoy swimming and boating at Lake Burrendong, but it’s also the busiest time. Go during the shoulder seasons in late spring or early fall for mild weather with fewer crowds. Wintertime campers can enjoy more privacy while staying cozy in one of the cabins, but be prepared for rain. 

Know before you go

  • Unlike most NSW campgrounds, pets are welcome at the Reflections Holiday and Caravan Park. Call the park directly to book if planning to bring a furry friend. 
  • There is a fee to enter the park, even for day-trippers.
  • Water levels in the reservoir fluctuate based on the season and drought conditions.
  • Cabins can accommodate up to six people.
