Van in the Vines
We had a wonderful stay at Van in the Vines. The location is absolutely picturesque, set right amongst the vines, making it a truly peaceful and scenic spot to unwind. We were also fortunate to be there on a Friday night and enjoy their delicious wood-fired pizzas—such a great bonus!
The site is central and convenient for exploring the area, yet still feels private and relaxing. We would definitely stay again

I loved the tranquillity of Vans in the Vines. We thoroughly enjoyed our Friday night pizza night relaxing under the trees with a lovely glass of wines. The pizzas were the best we've ever had and the wine was divine. Paula and Sarah were extremely hospitable which made our stay relaxing. We had the beast nights sleep and enjoyed waking to the spund of the birds and cows..It would.be perfect for small groups. Fire pits allowed in suitable weather.. Only a short drive to town and close to neighbouring wineries
Our plan was to ride our push bikes however the roads aren't safe due to busy traffic in oir opinion only.. It is the same though from Mudgee. We did a short bike ride on a quiet day.
We will definately be back with our friends soon.

What an AMAZING PLACE! My husband and I visited Van in Vines for a three day stay with our three small dogs. We were greeted by the lovely Paula the minute we started up the driveway with a phone call introducing herself and providing us with directions where to park. The camp ground was firm, with lush green grass. As we were setting up, we had the pleasure of meeting Paula’s husband and children who kindly brought us down the fire pit we had booked along with a generous helping of cracking firewood. As the sun set a that evening, a storm was rolling in and as if the warm welcome wasn’t enough, Mother Nature welcomed us with a stunning double rainbow over the vines. The next afternoon the sky was clear and cool and as we sat by the evening fire with the local wallabies casually bouncing by, we felt like we were the only people for miles. On day three we hit the Lazy Oak cellar door (150m walk up the driveway from camp) and kicked off the morning with some wine tasting (the white merlot is to die for!). We visited some of the local towns, vineyards and orchards and then finished off the day back at Lazy Oak for evening drinks and wood fire pizza under the stars in the beautiful festoon lit courtyard. All in all, we couldn’t fault the staff and hosts hospitality, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. That’s 5 x DOUBLE RAINBOWS from us and our floofers!!! Thank you Paula and family, we will be back!

A hidden gem! It had everything we wanted, serenity, well kept grounds & not crowded.
The pizza on Friday nights is such a treat & the wines are amazing.
This will be a regular spot to come back to.

site was absolutely incredible! We arrived on Friday and ordered some delicious pizza. Paula got the fire going and we chilled with a glass of wine. The site was low down near the vines, which kept us safe from a wild south Easter wind. Overall, it was an amazing spot to sample the local wines since it’s conveniently located in the centre. We’ll definitely be back!

What a great camp site. We were right next to the vines and a close walk to the communal fire pits and cellar door for a great Friday night of drinks and pizza with new friends. We then retreated to our own fire pit for a quiet night cap. The morning brought an amazing sunrise over the vines with riding fog and mist. I think we will be back.

A lovely getaway to a beautiful location with sweeping views and more than a sprinkling of local wildlife! We were warmly welcomed by our host Paula, tasted their wonderful white Merlot and settled in for a lovely night around a roaring fire pit under the stars! While the site was a little uneven making sure you have levellers makes quick work of van set up. A quick trip to Mudgee and Gulgong and all the wineries along that route makes it an ideal location for travellers. Our two little Jack Russell’s were welcome and there were plenty of walking trails around the vineyard to burn off their energy! We will definitely be back and looking forward to enjoying an event or two in the vines next time!!

Friday nights are must do, the wines are superb, the pizzas awesome, the fires are welcoming and Paula is best host. We had a great time and will certainly return and recommend this to our friends. The only negative is the campsite is not level bring extra chocks, but still loved it. Close to Mudgee and many cellar doors.

Paula was a great host. We found a great spot suggested by Paula that was under a willow tree next to a pond away from other campers. Friday night was great food and music in front of a warm fire. Will definitely return again.

Had a great Easter long weekend nestled among the vines. Short stroll to the winery for homemade pizza and pleasant live music, rolled down the hill to the quite secluded campsite for a peaceful evening. Only 10- 12 minutes to the delights of Mudgee. Need to be self contained.

Overall- pretty site.. however very overpriced for what you get (a carspot off the side of their driveway)
When we booked it was said that a wine tasting and olive oil tasting was included, that was not the case. We showed up to the cellar door during opening hours as required for check in however no one was there- we called multiple times before they answered and told us to just pull up by the vineyards. Essentially camped next to their driveway. Very high price for no amenities and no hospitality whatsoever. Don’t advertise that you include a tasting when you don’t 🤡

Spectacular views from our camp over the vineyards and out to the mountains. Only 50m walk back from wine tasting to our camp too, to enjoy a delicious bottle of the Lazy Oak sparkling Chardonnay!

What a fantastic place. The campsite was so lovely being able to camp within the vineyard . We also met some lovely fellow campers . There is so much camping space lots of privacy .
We had a lovely time at the cellar door were we were greated by Paula and offered once we were settled to come up for a wine tasting . Of course we did and had some wine, cheese platter and the. Followed by pizza.
I highly recommend this camping spot

This is a beautiful spot but the grass was very long & needed mowing. Expensive for what you got.
Not sure what the $5 for the Friday night was for.
I was unwell & couldn’t go to sunset drinks & pizza 🍕 but it didn’t include anything to my knowledge. My husband still went & met some fellow campers who were all lovely people.
